Welcome to “Wening Hüs – Wening Tau” in Wrixum on Föhr—a lovingly furnished retreat in a traditional Frisian thatched-roof house that perfectly combines tranquility, cosiness, and island charm. In an idyllic location in the heart of Wrixum, you can enjoy a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, village charm, and the proximity to the sea.

The holiday rental offers approximately 55 m² of space for up to 4 people and is ideal for couples or small families. The open-concept living and dining area with an integrated kitchen creates a bright, welcoming atmosphere where you’ll feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Large windows and views of the greenery enhance the feeling of peace and serenity.

Two cosy bedrooms ensure restful nights and plenty of space to unwind. The modern bathroom rounds out the living comfort and ensures a relaxing start to your day.

A special highlight is the private garden area with a terrace, which invites you to linger outdoors. Here you can have breakfast in the morning sun, enjoy the fresh North Sea air during the day, or wind down the day in absolute tranquility—accompanied by the typical island atmosphere of Föhr.

Bicycles can be stored in the garage, and a washing machine is available for your use free of charge in the basement.

Right next door: two additional holiday apartments for couples or families—ideal if you’re travelling with friends but still want to enjoy your privacy.

The location in Wrixum is ideal for anyone who likes it quiet but still wants to get anywhere quickly: Wyk, with its beach, harbour, and cafés, is just a few minutes away, as are shopping options and bike paths throughout the island.

For added convenience, Wi-Fi, a parking space, and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, and everything you need for daily life are available. A washing machine and dryer are also provided, making longer stays pleasantly hassle-free.

Check-in is flexible starting at 4:00 p.m. and can be arranged contactlessly upon request. Bed linens and towels can be booked as add-ons, and longer stays are also possible.

Key pickup is available Monday through Saturday between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM—and, upon request, we’re happy to arrange a hassle-free contactless pickup. Check-out is available until 10:00 a.m. To ensure you can relax and enjoy your holiday from start to finish and make the most of your time with us, we’re happy to offer early check-in or late check-out upon prior arrangement and for an additional fee.
