If you prefer the tranquility of the woods to crowded cities, the Saarland is the perfect place for you.

Our small state offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Premium hiking trails wind through dense forests and along beautiful rivers. For water lovers, excursions to Lake Bostal, the Saar Loop, or the Losheim Reservoir are ideal. You’ll find nature at its finest in the Bliesgau UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. Fancy a bit of culture in between? The Völklinger Hütte UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Archaeological Park of the Roman Villa Borg are both right in the vicinity.

From the holiday rental, you can easily reach the premium hiking trails “Erzgräberweg” and “Weg des Wassers” on foot and start hiking right away. It’s just a few kilometres to other “Traumschleifen” hiking trails and the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park.

The three alpacas—Wellington, Floki, and Finn—also live on the property in the beautiful Saarland region. Alpacas are very gentle animals and have a calming effect on many people. The high-quality wool from the alpacas can be used to knit very fluffy socks and jumpers. The animals’ manure is used in the garden as an excellent fertiliser.
From the windows of the holiday rental, you can watch the animals in the meadow at any time. By appointment and when accompanied by a staff member, you are welcome to visit the alpacas.

Please note that alpacas are not stuffed animals and do not want to be touched.



“Casa de Alpaca” holiday rental:

The newly renovated holiday apartment, with 85 m² of living space on the ground floor, accommodates 1–4 people. The entire apartment features tile floors and underfloor heating.
The cosy living room, complete with a sofa, flat-screen TV, books, and games, invites you to relax. The fully equipped kitchen, featuring a dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, stove, oven, microwave, electric kettle, egg cooker, toaster, and coffee maker, has everything you could need. The holiday rental has 2 bedrooms with one double box-spring bed, two single box-spring beds, and plenty of storage space as well as closets. The spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, large mirror, hair dryer, and room for all guests rounds out the overall experience. A laundry service is available upon request and for a fee to wash your clothes. Please note that pets are not allowed and this is a non-smoking apartment. Wi-Fi and the parking space in front of the house are available free of charge.
