You can enjoy all of this here with us in the beautiful fishing village of Fedderwardersiel, right on the North Sea with the Wadden Sea—a World Natural Heritage Site—in the North Sea.

Fedderwardersiel proudly bears the title “North Sea Resort” and is located at the northern tip of the Green North Sea Peninsula of Butjadingen.
The idyllic harbour serves as the venue for popular events several times a year. During the summer months, the popular crab boat regatta takes place. Every Sunday from April through October, harbour concerts are held, featuring a wide variety of bands performing their songs. There’s no shortage of markets either: the Arts and Crafts Market (Ascension Day) and the Farmers’ Market (October 3). There’s also plenty to enjoy on the culinary front: in addition to the harbour restaurants, there are two seafood stands, a small currywurst joint, and the Street Food Festival held on a weekend around Ascension Day.
Another highlight is the steamboat WEGA 2. It runs on a scheduled route into the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, and takes you to various attractions—such as the Robbenplatte Lighthouse or the large seal colonies.
And in the evening, weather permitting, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the region.
And for those who want to get active: The Butjadingen North Sea Peninsula is considered a paradise for cyclists looking to embark on extensive tours.
Or you can set out on foot on a WALK DIRECTLY INTO THE SEA to the Langwarder Groden! A 4-km circular hiking trail and a 2-km nature discovery trail offer a unique way to experience nature. From several observation decks, boardwalks, and a bridge leading to the foredike, you can get a particularly good view of the constant ebb and flow of the tides. Numerous information panels provide insights into nature and the landscape. Interactive models invite you to explore this fascinating habitat.
In 2024, the Langwarder Groden was voted “Natural Wonder of the Year” in a poll conducted by the Heinz Sielmann Foundation!
