The "Blick Burg Stolpen" holiday home is located in the village of Dobra, in the municipality of Dürröhrsdorf-Dittersbach (Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district), at the gateway to Saxon Switzerland (a hiking and climbing region) and Lusatia.
Our well-equipped holiday rental is located in a former residential building that has been converted into a holiday home for exclusive use.
The adjacent property, measuring approximately 300 m², features a garden with flowers and berry bushes, a grill and fire pit, a courtyard, and a parking area.
Seating areas, a small swing seat, and a sandpit for children are available.
There is also a covered seating area/patio with a table and chairs and a view of Stolpen Castle.
The holiday rental accommodates up to 5 people and, with a usable area of approximately 80 m², includes a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, and 2 bedrooms: one with a double bed and a large single bed, as well as a baby/child’s cot, and another with two large single beds placed end-to-end.
These 5 sleeping areas are accessible via an easily navigable staircase to the ground floor.
An additional sleeping area for up to 2 people (a fold-out sofa bed with permanent sleeping quality and a sleeping surface of 160 cm) is located in the living room on the ground floor.
In Dobra, you’ll enjoy a holiday in a small, quiet village surrounded by fields, meadows, and forests, not far from Dresden.
Peace and quiet and unspoiled nature await you. You can reach Saxon Switzerland on foot in about an hour. By car, it takes about half an hour to reach Dresden—20 km away—as well as Pillnitz Palace & Park, the Baroque Garden of Großsedlitz, or the regions of Hintere Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland.
Lusatia, with its half-timbered houses, Cunewalde, Bautzen, and Görlitz, also makes for great day trips.
Don’t forget the maze and dinosaur park near Bautzen, which are fun for all ages.
“Bad-weather alternatives” include the Mariba water park with its leisure and fitness park in Neustadt in Saxony and the Toskana Therme in Bad Schandau.
Dobra is an ideal place to relax and a great starting point for hikes.
For example, you can easily reach the world-famous Bastei on foot in about 1.5 hours. It takes just 10 minutes by car to reach the car park.
You can enjoy the view of the castle town of Stolpen right from your accommodation.
The well at the castle is the deepest well on Earth, drawing groundwater from the basalt.
The property owners are happy to provide further tips.
In the village of Dobra, there are no shopping options or places to eat or drink other than beekeeper’s honey and, occasionally, ice cream.
However, you’ll find what you’re looking for in the immediately surrounding villages.
You’ll find traditional bakeries and butcher shops—some offering delicious snacks and freshly cooked lunches—as well as a pharmacy, supermarket, fruit stands, farm shops, a savings bank, and more. The nearest restaurants are a 10- to 15-minute drive away.
