Vacations for Explorers in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and Saxon Switzerland National Park

Built in 1663, this half-timbered house was lovingly restored in 2002 and is located in a quiet part of Hinterhermsdorf, in the Neudorf district. Noise is unheard of here, aside from the occasional “bleating” of our goats in the garden.
The national park is practically “right on our doorstep.” Many hiking trails, even off the beaten track away from the crowded tourist routes, invite you to explore.
A small shop selling local products is right next door; it’s about a 10-minute walk to the corner store and the bakery. The same goes for the tourist information office and the Sparkasse bank.
The property includes a meadow of about 6,000 m², which also features a small pond. Our barbecue area is a popular evening gathering spot. Our little guests will have a blast at our adventure playground with a treehouse and climbing wall. The mud and clay play area is especially popular (a washing machine and dryer are available in the house). Figures moulded from clay and left to dry have amazed many parents with their children’s creativity.
If the weather isn’t cooperating, our indoor playroom offers plenty of activities to keep both kids and adults entertained. Of course, there are also animals. You’re welcome to pet our playful pygmy goats, “Schoko” and “Lolli”—they’re usually up to all sorts of mischief.
And to ensure your day gets off to a relaxing start, we’ll bring you fresh rolls every morning. We also offer regional products such as fresh milk and eggs from the farm, various game products, and honey from local beekeepers.
