Located on the Royal Route, leading from the monumental Golden Gate to the Green Gate on the Motława River, Długa Street connects the most important points of Gdańsk's old town. It is surrounded by intricately decorated historic tenement houses, each of which bears witness to the wealth and prestige of the city's former inhabitants: merchants, councillors and patricians.
