The Accommodation
About 25 square metres of lovingly maintained space await you in the basement of our home—quietly situated, pleasantly uncluttered, and comfortably heated. The windows let in gentle, soft natural light, lending the studio a relaxed, open feel. As soon as you step inside, you’ll sense that everything here is just right—unpretentious, well-thought-out, and inviting.
The spacious bed invites you to rest, read, dream, or simply unwind. If you’re travelling with a child or would like a little more space, the pull-out sofa bed provides a comfortable addition. For the little ones, a cot, a high chair, and lovingly selected toys are provided—so that even our youngest guests feel right at home.
Bedding is, of course, included.
The kitchenette is tastefully and functionally equipped—with an eye for practicality:
A hob, a kettle, and a Senseo coffee machine are provided, along with a small selection of tea and coffee pods for your first cup of coffee in the morning. A compact refrigerator with a freezer compartment keeps your supplies fresh. Three bottles of mineral water are provided as a welcome gift—for that first sip after your trip. You’re welcome to bring anything else you need or pick it up along the way.
Shopping options (Edeka, Aldi, Netto) are located within a radius of about four kilometres—easily accessible by car or bike. If you bring a bicycle, you can of course store it safely and sheltered from the weather on our property. Charging electric vehicles
A Level 2 charging station (Type 2, up to 11 kW) is available on the property.
It can be used at any time, and usage is billed based on actual consumption at €0.55 per kWh.
At the small dining table, you can have breakfast, write, play, or simply start your day with a steaming cup of coffee.
The bathroom is just a few steps away and is accessed via a shared hallway—but it’s exclusively for your use.
It’s bright, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need.
Towels, bath towels, washcloths, and a hair dryer are, of course, provided.
For longer stays or minor everyday mishaps, a washing machine is available in the shared laundry room—easy to use whenever it’s free.
A modern TV is included, as is a stable Wi-Fi connection—wired with speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s, fast and reliable enough for streaming, working from home, or a relaxing evening watching TV shows.
The studio is part of our lived-in house
—a lively place where everyday life doesn’t disrupt but rather resonates with yours. Children’s laughter, footsteps in the hallway, voices in the evening—quiet fragments of a real home. You might run into each other briefly—at the front door, in the driveway—with a friendly greeting and a smile. For us, this is part of a respectful, considerate way of living together. Not forced

For solo travellers, couples, or small families who aren’t looking to be impressed, but simply want to feel at home. Minimalist, warm, focused on the essentials—with subtle details and a personal touch that leaves a lasting impression.
You’re welcome to bring a friendly pet—for a small surcharge of €3 per night. The pet must be well-behaved, friendly towards people, and generally laid-back in demeanour. Please bring everything your furry friend needs—bowls, a blanket, food, and other essentials are not provided on-site.
Guest Access
The studio is entirely at your disposal. If possible, we’d love to welcome you in person—otherwise, check-in is flexible and contactless via a key box. The code will be provided well in advance of your arrival.
Additional Important Information
A Small Favour Before You Leave
We’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment upon departure to leave the studio in a tidy condition—just as you’d like to find it yourself:
Please strip the beds,
• empty the trash tins,
• dispose of empty bottles and tins,
• place used linens (bed linens, towels, washcloths, tea towels) in the laundry room
• and leave the studio swept clean.
This helps us get everything ready quickly for the next guests—and shows a little extra appreciation. Thank you!
