Enjoyed the home and was on a good size piece of Land. my son played Basketball on the property Court, friends Enjoyed the Hammock as well. 1 things for sure 1 heck of a Amazing Strong Breeze every single day we stood there. We definitely will be back since we only Live 2 hrs away from Cabo Rojo!!!
the cabana was very cozy, roomy, the hamaca you will love it, the breeze is fantastic. at night was very quiet, lots of bars, restaurants, walking distance to the Beach area, very safe. the villa needs the second floor replaced, needs to fumigate for small roaches in the kitchen area and bathroom, TLC is what this beach house need, my overall experience I will recommend to rent it, you will enjoy every second you spend in Combate.
I Love Everything of This House...If You are a Bugie person don't stay there...Me and my family Enjoyed the Stay in this place...We are coming back to stay here again.
The accommodation was fantastic. It was my first time in puerto rico. I loved the house cause it was a real unplugged true puerto rican house. If your looking for high class living this isn't for you. It's a rustic old fashion house. Its peaceful, near the beach and very cozy. The owner was always just a text or phone call away and was very accommodating when it came to checkinh in late at night.
This place is exactly how it was describe. It is a bit rustic, but met the basic needs. We jokingly referred to it as our glamping experience. If you are looking for a resort type atmosphere, this place is not for you. But if you are looking for a small space close to the beach and can embrace your inner child, this may be a great place for you.
This place needs to be removed from VRBO u til made habitable
This place is a safety nightmare and a guaranteed death trap. Rain water runs through electric outlets (I have videos and photos) This is a two story wood structure standing on stilts that swings with ever persons steps. There are floor gaps between floor boards. The place has lots of potential. How we until desperate and required repairs are completed it SHOILD NOT BE presented as a lodging option.
The location has close proximity to many great natural resources. And the house was clean (as well s it could be) and well furnished. For someone visiting for longer stays wanting to experience the resources, it could work well. But for a short duration, it was much rougher than presented; acknowledging the owner furnished it well.
Also, the address is insufficiently communicated. Instead of simply saying next left after farmacia , they should provide the actual street name and the fourth house in right. Then when we arrived at the exact time we provided, we found the gate locked with no instructions to enter. We drove around until we found the owner located behind it on another road. A better way to gain access would be expected.
I was taking a long vacation and rented the house for 3 months. The owners are a very nice couple and were very attentive and responsive. The house is located in one of the most beautiful beach towns in the island, a 5-10 minute walk to Combate beach. The natural reserve close by has trails that lead to the lighthouse and Playuela, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful beaches in PR. It's also a short distance from many good restaurants, Santos is a personal favorite.
It's a small, humble wood house. The space is tight inside but there's enough space downstairs to make up for it. My dog loved running around the yard following birds and lizards all over the place.
The only negative observations would be the lack of a water heater for the house, which only bothered me when doing dishes. The house does have a shower heater, so at least you can get some warm water in the shower. Also, the wood floor in the kitchen is slightly sloping, so it can be a bit of a hassle walking in and out of the kitchen. Keep in mind I stayed here for 3 months, so I had time to make these observations. If you're staying for a few days, you probably won't notice this.
Overall, this is a great place to spend time in a quiet, friendly environment with lots of outdoor activities to do close by. It's a very affordable option for all. Highly recommended
I recommend correcting the address. Be more specific, like Tamarindo St, and place the number of the property. It is actuality Calle 3301 final with the road name
Great Place in a Great Location (and NO TOURISTS throngs)
If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, away from the throngs in San Juan (and the cruise ship's worth of people each day), then Cabo Rojo is where you want to be. The property was perfect for my wife and I. It is .4 mile from Combate Beach; you are ~6 miles from Boqueron bay and its beaches. Also less than 1/2 mile away is the National Wildlife Reserve- and another mile of beach.
There is no A/C (per the listing), but the trade winds blow every day and the fans make every thing just fine. The iguanas are free; as are the birds each morning. Miguel (and his father, Miguel) were the best. The answered questions promptly and made the whole rental check-in/check-out process nearly invisible.
The little house was wonderful. There is no wi-fi, so we lead a life untangled by the Mainland...
I highly recommend this property if you want to see Puerto Rico. The area within Cabo Rojo is stunning from the sea to the hills. Just north is Rincon and surfing. A magical week in a magical place.
