Alpine apartment with mountain views, pool & close to the ski slopes

Our cosy apartment in the Hintermoos holiday home is the ideal starting point for a relaxing yet active holiday in the Hochkönig region. Whether you’re hiking, skiing, or simply enjoying the impressive natural beauty of the Salzburg region—here you’ll find peace and quiet, panoramic mountain views, and a wide range of recreational activities in every season.

The apartment is situated at an elevation of about 1,000 metres in a completely peaceful setting. The ski slope is only about 150 metres away, and you can reach the centre of Maria Alm in about five minutes by car. The location offers perfect conditions for winter sports enthusiasts as well as for hikers, mountain bikers, and those seeking peace and quiet.

The 38 m² apartment has 1.5 rooms and sleeps a total of four people. The living area is comfortably furnished and features a small dining nook where you can enjoy meals prepared in your own kitchen. Amenities also include a TV with cable and a stereo system. The balcony offers an impressive view of the surrounding mountains and the Steinerne Meer—ideal for enjoying the sunset after an active day.

The kitchen is fully equipped and provides everything you need for daily use, including tea towels, paper towels, liquid soap, dish soap, tea, coffee (Senseo machine), spices, salt, sugar, and flour. The balcony furniture is, of course, available for your use.

On the ground floor of the holiday home is the indoor swimming pool, which is available to guests free of charge. The water is 30 degrees, and through a large window, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the mountain panorama while swimming. Additionally, you can sunbathe on the roof of the swimming pool. The ski storage room can be used for skis in the winter and for bicycles in the summer. A free parking space is available right next to the house.

The house also features two coin-operated washing machines and a dryer, as well as facilities for drying laundry. Instruction manuals for the appliances can be found in the upper left cabinet in the hallway.

Check-in is available between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM; check-out is by 10:00 AM. Since I am not always on site, keys will be provided via a key box at the main entrance. You will receive all necessary information regarding this well in advance of your arrival. To ensure a smooth stay, we ask that you carefully read the provided information in advance and ask any questions as early as possible. Please note that this is not a hotel, but a privately rented apartment.

You must bring your own bed linens, hand towels, and bath towels. Alternatively, bed linens, hand towels, and bath towels can be rented for a fee. In this case, please let us know well in advance of your arrival.

The apartment has Wi-Fi. This is a non-smoking property; smoking is permitted only on the balcony or in front of the building entrance.

If you are arriving by car, please note that the final stretch of the road may be passable only with snow chains in winter due to a 15 percent grade. A sign indicating this is located at the valley station.

The Hochkönig region offers an extremely diverse range of recreational activities. In winter, one of the most beautiful downhill and cross-country skiing areas in the Alps awaits you; in summer, there are numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, high-rope courses, toboggan runs, outdoor pools, natural swimming spots, golf courses, as well as guided hiking and biking tours. Since the 2018/2019 winter season, the Maria Alm–Natrun ski area has been directly connected to the Hochkönig ski area. The Ski Amadé ski pass is valid not only in the Hochkönig area but also in the ski areas in Pongau and Flachau. In the summer, e-bike rentals and numerous charging stations are also available in Maria Alm.
