About this property

The Good Room, Anno Domini 1716 apARTments

"Die Gute Stubb'" in the Manor House

Accommodation
A quiet, comfortably furnished 2-room apartment on the ground floor of the manor house. You’ll find a spacious entryway with ample storage, a generous bathroom with a toilet and shower, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen with a ceramic cooktop, fridge-freezer, and oven. In the cosy bedroom, you’ll sleep in supreme comfort on a double bed made of solid larch with 7-way adjustable slatted frames on multi-zone mattresses, under temperature-regulating down comforters. As throughout the entire house, ceiling-mounted heating systems are installed here as well, providing a pleasantly even distribution of radiant heat. In keeping with the style, sun-yellow roller blinds on all 5 windows of the apartment offer privacy, while the hardwood floors make the rooms pleasant to walk on and are just as easy to maintain as the bright, airy, and generously sized bathroom area.

Right next to the apartment complex, you’ll find the Mainkai Promenade for strolling and sunbathing; there’s also a well-run international restaurant with sun terraces, a lounge, and a vaulted cellar. Just 80 metres further up, the market square is lined with several restaurants—ranging from Chinese and Greek to one of the best Franconian brewery taverns, the Bräustüble. You’ll also find bakeries, butchers, and all other shops for your daily needs within walking distance around the market square.

The Hofstallung Anno Domini 1716 is centrally located in the heart of Marktheidenfeld’s Old Town. It offers cosy apartments that are specially tailored to the needs of business travellers staying in the area for extended periods. Depending on availability, it’s usually possible to book one or more apartments for short-term stays. Just 50 metres from the idyllic riverside promenade along the Mainkai and not much further from the market square with its restaurants, butcher shops, bakeries, and supermarkets—so you can easily take care of your own needs in just a few minutes. The Hofstallung itself consists of two building complexes—a half-timbered barn over 300 years old and the manor house with its striking half-timbered design. We acquired both in early 2018 and brought them up to the latest standards through extensive renovation. The property was completely gutted; the half-timbered structures were repaired, and—using exclusively eco-friendly, natural materials—a total of 10 perfectly tailored, climate-controlled living units were created. The exterior facade was preserved, including the wood-and-clay infill and the underlying masonry of natural bricks. Inside, a perfectly comfortable indoor climate was achieved using all-natural insulating plaster and insulation materials; the interior construction itself was carried out using calcium silicate blocks and timber framing. The inner courtyard offers storage space for bicycles, while vehicles can be parked in the 24-hour monitored underground garage located just 3 minutes away. Wagnergasse itself is reserved exclusively for resident traffic, guaranteeing an incomparably peaceful atmosphere right in the heart of city centre. Right next to the apartment complex, you’ll find the Mainkai promenade for strolling and sunbathing; there’s also a well-run international restaurant with sun terraces, a lounge, and a vaulted cellar. Just 80 metres up the street, on the market square, you’ll find a variety of restaurants—ranging from Chinese and Greek to one of the best Franconian brewery taverns, the Bräustüble. You’ll also find bakeries, butchers, and all other shops for your daily needs within walking distance around the market square.
