No value for money

We stayed with 6 people in the house. We did not get value for money. When we arrived we were very disappointed when we saw the state of the house. The property has a lot of potential but it looks outlived. There is a smell inside ( old furniture and textiles ). Jacuzzi not working properly, swimming pool not inviting to swim in it ( major green stains in the edges), dangerous to walk barefoot as the bankirail is pulling out, the beds are too small for 2 adults to sleep in, electric fence not working, furniture on the terrace needs replacement, ping pong table has had better times … The environment is very beautiful and we did a lot of excursions.

This house was perfect for our large family group. We managed to do lots of cooking in the well-stocked large kitchen. And there is plenty of space for all of us to sit at table together. Yves was very helpful when we had questions and he even brought us treats from the boulangerie one morning! It was hot while we were there and not all of the rooms had air conditioning so we moved some mattresses around to find cooler places to sleep. But the pool is perfect for cooling down and plenty big for a big crowd. The location is perfect and quiet with an easy walk into town and the river nearby. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house and would happily stay again.
