At the Gartenschläfer holiday rental, history meets modernity: Using natural materials like clay and wood, the hosts have breathed new life into an old barn. Oak half-timbering with glass panels in front lets plenty of light into the open-concept living and sleeping area, and a wood-burning stove keeps the apartment warm and cosy even in winter.
The approximately 65-square-meter loft is spread over two open levels: The living, dining, and kitchen areas are on the ground floor, while the double bed and a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower are on a second level. The approximately 45-square-meter terrace, with its sweeping views and south-facing orientation, invites you to do more than just relax: From here, you can watch migrating cranes in the spring and fall, as well as red kites and kestrels circling daily.
With a little luck, you might even spot the apartment’s namesake in the cracks and crevices of the old walls in the evening.
The apartment is designed for two guests; additional guests are possible upon request and for an extra charge (sofa bed, mattresses on the loft). Please note, however, that this is a studio apartment.

Apartment, shower, toilet, garden-facing:

Bedding, towels, carport parking space, and utilities such as electricity and water are included in the price. A basic supply of firewood is also included; additional firewood is not included.
We charge a fee of €8.00 for use of the washing machine.



Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00, and check-out is from 10:00 to 11:00.
