Cozy Dog-Friendly Inlet Cove Cottage for Your Perfect Getaway
Inlet Cove is a gated area located at the West end of the island by the Kiawah River. Inlet Cove cottages include a 25 meter swimming pool, boat dock and cookout area. Leisure trails allow quick access to the beach.
Our Inlet Cove cottage is nestled in the trees of Kiawah providing a feeling of privacy. There is only a short walk to the beach or to the Inlet Cove swimming pool and dock area located on the Kiawah River.
Our smoke-free cottage was totally renovated in early 2019 with a new kitchen, bathrooms, and flooring. We have wireless high speed internet access. We have TVs in all bedrooms and in the living area. There are books, games and puzzles available on our shelves for curling up with after a day on the beach.

Hello! I was born in Pasadena, California, and have lived in several wonderful places, including San Francisco, CA, Memphis, TN, and Dallas, TX. Now, I call Longmont, Colorado, home, but I absolutely love Kiawah Island and am thrilled to share it with you. I enjoy interacting with guests and introducing them to the island's beautiful spots, whether it's a peaceful beach walk or a scenic adventure. I can't wait to welcome you to our cozy cottage and help you make the most of your time here!
Why they chose this property
"We purchased our Inlet Cove Cottage #79 in 1980, right as Kiawah Island was just beginning to take shape. A friend who had recently bought a cottage in Sparrow Pond invited us to stay, and the following summer, we ‘went wild’ and bought our own little piece of paradise. Back then, very few people had even heard of Kiawah (we were living in Memphis, TN), and this was before the internet, VRBO, and all the online resources we have today. We relied on newspaper ads and word of mouth to rent our cottage. Over 40 years later, with our children now grown and with children of their own, we’re still able to enjoy our time in Kiawah and cherish the memories we continue to make in this special place.
What makes this property unique
We are the original owners of #79 and have loved this property for over 45 years. It's our home, and we hope you feel at home when you stay there. We love the location - walking distance to the beach, walking distance to the river, bike riding distance to Freshfields, easy access on/off the island since you don't have to go through the main gate.
