Welcome to Saddle+Sea. Our Bolinas retreat where our mini pony grazes just outside the back gate and the loudest sound you hear is the sea. Sunny with two bedrooms, our home has a peaceful and welcoming feeling that is best suited for 4. Two wildlife viewing decks ( one wraparound) lets you wake up to abundant wildlife. Located close to Agate beach, enjoy beach combing, hunting for agates, bike riding, hiking. A five minute bike or car ride to the Bolinas town surf beach is a great way to spend the day. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Coast cafe, visit the shops in town and the Bolinas museum. After a beach day, leave the fray of downtown and retreat to the big Mesa where hummingbirds and butterflies abound.

Perfection!

This was my family's second time staying at Erin's house and we are already looking forward to going back. The location can't be beat. Between the beaches, the hiking and the cycling we always had something to do. The house itself is comfortable and well-equipped. It is the perfect place to unplug and we treasure our times here.

perfect Bolinas house

This is a lovely home in Bolinas. It has the Bolinas charm we were hoping for while also being clean and well kept. Wonderful spot for our family to spend a few days! The location is also as good as it gets. It's private and overlooking a eucalyptus grove and a beautiful short walk away from a magical beach. We would absolutely stay here again.

Bolinas Home was spacious, clean w/ many amenities. Private, quiet, and comfortable.

Erin was attentive to our questions about use of the place and replied quickly. Gardens are beautifully landscaped and enriched the already appealing natural landscape the cleaning fees were exorbitant and more than most but Erin worked w/ us about this. I'd recommend greater transparency about the fees.

Fantastic home away from home!

My family of 4 stayed in Erin's home over Christmas 2016. We had an absolutely amazing time. The home is fully equipped and we didn't miss a thing (except for a coffee grinder, but we lived :)). The kids loved the bunk beds and my husband and I loved the nightly fires. Having a washer/dryer was nice too. The home is about a 5 min walk to a great beach - we were there nightly to watch the sunsets. I highly recommend this home and we hope to come back some day. Thanks for making our stay so easy and enjoyable!

A gem!

I spent a week here with my husband and 3-year-old son. The house was just perfect for us. Beautiful, comfortable and in a quiet location. Kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed many evenings in the hot tub. My son loved the bunk beds and playing in the enclosed yard. Erin was easy to reach with any questions we had and very accommodating. We will definitely return!

A Lovely Relaxing Vacation in Bolinas

Bolinas Property ID 582295 was a perfect get-away for my family and me. We all needed some down time and quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of our regular routine, and renting this property was immensely helpful to achieving that goal. We had fun exploring the area. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of birds and wildlife. The sound of the ocean could be heard from the house, which added to the relaxation factor. The house was clean when we arrived, the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and the beds were comfy. It was also great to have a hot tub. The house really had everything we needed - it felt like a home away from home. The owner made herself very available if we had questions (we did). We would definitely rent this property again if it is available.

A beautiful home

A beautiful, light-filled home in a quiet setting -- away from the crowds, but a quick walk, bike or drive to the beaches and "downtown" Bolinas. Great for families, with outside play areas for kids. We've stayed many times and hope to stay many more.

Relaxing, fun, bright

We just returned from a 5-day stay in this house and it was great. Erin was wonderfully responsive, and the house was perfect for our family - open, light, breezy, relaxing, easy-to-play-in for kids, with a spacious deck and an awesome hot tub. The downside of its "road ends" location, I suppose, is that you're not on the beach (about a 7-minute drive), but the upside is the seclusion. It's very quiet, with virtually total privacy on the side of the house you'll spend most of your waking time in - the windows of the main living area open onto a hillside eucalyptus grove. This is also the view from the hot tub. Erin was generous with the family wetsuits and boogie boards, which our kids had a blast using on Bolinas's excellent beach. Two issues come to mind for potential renters.The deck setup is likely to be nerve-racking for parents of toddlers and crawlers, and the spare-ish furnishings are better suited to an active, family-type vacation than heavy-duty lounging. (We spent most of our inside time at the long, splendid table.) To be honest, I underwent some renter's remorse driving up from Oakland, regretting not being on the water, but that feeling didn't survive five minutes inside this house.
