Pink Sand Studio on DOUBLE BAY beach! "Senza Nome"

Welcome to Senza Nome's newly renovated beach side unit! Renovations (2022) made the unit much larger with new larger bathroom and walk in shower, new flooring throughout, extended kitchen, new L-shaped couch sitting area and dinning room table.

This second floor studio apartment is located (separate building, plenty of privacy) on a 4 acre beach front property. It does not have any other units attached and is very private. It sleeps 2 people in queen size bed, has a 3 piece bathroom and kitchen. A porch is decked out with chairs with views of the ocean. Thatched outdoor shower is great for washing up after being on the beach. Wonderful vacation spot for a romantic getaway.

Paradise

We enjoyed two weeks at this lovely property. Just a minute walk to the beach, rarely saw more than 4 people out and about, great snorkeling, beautiful sunsets at the beach or from the house and all the amenities you need. Senza Nome couldn’t have been a more perfect place for an amazing, comfortable and relaxing stay.

Lovely beach location.

Friendly welcoming hosts.Accomodation lacking a few niceties like beach chairs, but they were hardly missed.We had two days of much needed rain and still can say: we enjoyed every minute in Double Bay.

Wonderful property and location

This property is perfect for a cozy getaway. This studio has everything needed for one or two people and is located on a beautiful piece of property. Double Bay is a perfect stretch of beach to walk and swim. It is also centrally located and close to great stores and restaurants. Highly recommend the pizza at Mate & Jenny’s in Palmetto Point. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Great stay by the beach

This property is fantastic for anyone looking for a relaxed stay by the beach. Property is clean, spacious and kitchen has everything you need to eat in and we also used the outdoor grill one evening. Beach is perfect and was deserted each time we were there. Steve was also very welcoming and was a goldmine of local recommendations and tips. It is a great place to explore the island from, but as this is a quiet and tranquil area you do need to drive to get to any shops and restaurants. We stayed in a few properties on the island and this one definitely comes highly recommended

Quiet and peaceful

VRBO sent us the wrong check-in information so it was a little difficult getting the key, but after that everything was flawless and the property manager and owner were great. Governor sharper to palmetto point are a great location to stay in the island because you can be anywhere within an hour. This property was perfect for my wife and I we had everything we needed and it was very clean and cozy and nice bathroom and kitchen and bed, and an awesome view.

Perfect Getaway!

My brother in law stayed in this awesome studio for a couple of days. Worked out great as we were staying in the Senza Nome cottage, so he was able to have his own space while still being close by. Senza Nome & Double Bay is hands down our favorite place to stay on the island! Studio was spacious, private, super clean, well stocked & extremely comfortable! He loved his stay at this perfect rental located just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island! Thank you :)

Amazing 30th Anniversary

Our week in Eleuthera was beyond any expectations we could have. From the location, cleanliness, communication, what was provided and so much more. We loved our stay at the studio and the Double Bay Area was perfectly located for beach hopping. Every morning we enjoyed a few mile walk on the beach, before ventured out the door to explore. Many times we ended the day at Ten Bay beach or right here sitting and relaxing on the beach. Thank you for a sharing your wonderful piece of paradise.

Senza Nome studio

The property is well cared for and tidy. It's very quiet and relaxing. The studio is very comfortable and the couch is comfortable (that's not always the case in some places). Kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to make great meals with the local offerings. The lovely, trash free beach is usually vacant so it feels like your own private island.The only thing I wish is that a couple small palms be removed as there is no ocean view at all. There are approximately 200 trees on the property and their absence would not affect the ambiance at all.All in all, a lovely trip and I do recommend this studio.

Amazing ping sugar sand beach and turquoise ocean

Wow what an amazing stay. Cant say enough good things about the place and the owners. Steve and her daughter Lisa were friendly prompt to answer questions and incredibly helpful. The studio is plenty big enough for 2, bright, clean, airy and modern. The private beach about 3 mile long was one of the most spectacular I've seen in my 45+ countries. At some points my wife and I were the only ones in the beach, pink powdery sugar sand and beautiful ocean. What an amazing vacation. Definitely need a car as nearest grocery and restaurants are 15 to 20 min drive away. If you love quiet paradise like beach locations you will struggle to find better.

Best vacation of my life

This was hands down, a life changing vacation. It was our first time to Eleuthera and I am so happy that this was the destination chosen for our getaway. The stay: everything was wonderful. Exactly as advertised and Clarisse was so lovely. The place was impeccably clean, getting there was no problem, communication was responsive and excellent. Clarisse even left us some treats which was so wonderful to come “home” to after a long day of exploring! The island: do your research and know that if you love exploring, adventure, solitude, and rekindling the wonder of the world…this is the place for you. This island is a no frills experience full of breathtaking places no matter where you stop and the people are just wonderful. Everyone we met made us feel like we belonged here. We were never in a rush, yet never still. There was so much to explore and I am already trying to figure out how soon I can go back. The stay is centrally located which makes it perfect for exploring the whole island. My only negative was having to leave. I admit, I cried that morning on the beach…and out of the dunes came the properties “emotional support cat” to sit with me. Funny because I hadn’t seen this cat the entire time we were there until that teary sunrise. This place has 100% stolen my heart and after visiting, I don’t feel a need to look any further for paradise. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us ❤️

Amazing week in Eleuthera

I will say that the listing is misleading. There is no wrap around balcony & there's zero view of ocean. There are 2 small palm trees that could be cut down to give a perfect view from sofa. Not sure what happened to the balcony. My guess is apt. was renovated & it was built in. Maybe there was not a living room in apartment initially? We never found a shared gas grill. There's a small charcoal one in the gazebo & it worked fine. Were able to get lighter fluid in Savanah Sound & there was charcoal already there. I would also suggest some plastic storage containers for the unit for guests to pack food for daily beach trips. The a/c leaked pretty badly w/ constant drip. I informed Carol in case they were unaware. Carol was super helpful and responsive. The owner told me that unit came with a cooler. We couldnt find it. We were able to purchase a styrofoam one in Savanah Sound. A few days later, yard guy left the door to storage open & we saw the cooler in there. Would be nice if Carol could make sure its left out for guests upon arrival. We left the styrofoam one there as well. Also, the info packet states there are beach chairs. Never found those. Carol got some from the big house for us. Overall great location and nice stay.

Everything was just as stated and even better. The property was well loved. The ocean was close and the property sat on the best beach in Eleuthera!! The property is close to everything you need for your stay. The care taker of the property was very accommodating. We highly recommend the island of Eleuthera and staying at one of the three Senza Nome properties!

This is a lovely property on a lovely stretch of beach. Very quiet and peaceful. The unit was clean, well appointed and seeming recently remodeled. We love this beach and this is also a perfect location to explore Eleuthera being in the center of the island. Perfect for us!

Wonderful week of paradise!

Ocean sounds at night were seductively soothing and being an upper level studio kept the sand flies away with a good breeze at all times. Housekeeper Clarice was lovely, present and happy to help with any questions or requests. Double Bay is a gorgeous long beach, and when windy we took a short 3 km drive to Ten Bay right across the island. We shall return!

Great studio , we loved it !

Great studio for an affordable price, VERY close to the beach and very quiet. All what we needed for a visit to beautiful Eleuthera ! The only disadvantage is that you need a car , but that counts for every place on Eleuthera. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Claire, the housekeeper. A very nice and helpful woman ! If we ever come back , we know where to stay again ...

Our family has been coming to Eleuthera for the past 30 years. My name is Lisa, and in 2014, my parents decided to purchase this house in order to keep visiting the Bahamas regularly and to bring our families together. I currently live in the city of Ottawa, Ontario Canada with my husband and 2 young children. I have loved this island my entire life and visited regularly as my uncle also owns a property on Double Bay. I was ecstatic when we decided to purchase this property and took on the role of managing the VRBO rentals. My family and I visit twice yearly and we love the beach, the quiet and the island charm. My parents also will visit the island for 3-4 months of the year, when they are not travelling all over the world for their work. I also have a brother who is married and together they have 2 young children. Our family welcomes you to the Bahamas! We hope that you love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We selected this home as we loved the property itself with its wide beach frontage, open spaces, crooked palm trees and array of plants. The property also had 3 separate living spaces making it ideal for visitors and guests. We loved the main house as it sprawls along the ocean, giving incredible views in each room. With the additional cottage and studio, it has been an incredible space to host larger groups without compromising your privacy.

What makes this property unique

The property is situated on Double Bay beach, which in my opinion is the nicest beach on Eleuthera. The sand is pink and soft and makes for a beautiful walk in either direction. Since there are only private homes on the beach it is very private and you are likely to only see 2 people on the beach all day.

Since the property is located mid-island, it is an ideal spot to explore both the north and southern parts of the island. Additionally, the road to the property is in relatively good condition and easy to access (as some properties can be challenging to get in and out of).
