With all 5-star ratings and just steps to the beach, enjoy stunning ocean views from all four bedrooms of this gorgeous, recently updated home located in the elegant Caleta neighborhood of Palmilla. Includes infinity pool, hot tub, daily housekeeper, 24/7 security, golf cart and just steps to the beach! See video by searching "casa luna palmilla video" in any search engine. We are located in a wonderful and beautiful beachfront community within the Palmilla resort area and golf course. This 4300 sf home (plus outdoor areas) has ocean views from all the bedrooms with fully open/sliding doors to the outside for a feeling of outdoor living. Flat screen LCD TVs, SONOS sound system, and outdoor kitchen make this the perfect vacation spot for couples, families and events. The home has WiFi throughout the inside and outside of the house with fiber optic speed. A baby grand piano can be found on the main floor; and a childlren's room added off the main floor bedroom complete with bunk beds, trundle bed and or play-n-pak crib. Guests have complete access to the whole house. Our housekeeper is included so you don't need to worry about dishes, making beds, etc. Some snorkel gear is available, as well as beach chairs. -- Other amenities/activities such as surfboards, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. can be arranged. Blue Desert Property managers (Marlene) will meet you at the door upon your arrival. They are also available before and during your stay for various concierge items: chefs, bartenders, groceries, massage, activities, etc. This is a GREAT location. We are sandwiched between the best surf beach to our East and the Palmilla Cove and the One & Only Resort to our West. The 1/2 mile beach is often deserted and one of the few swimmable beaches in the area. We are only 18 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes to a major grocery store (Fresko) that also delivers for a small fee and can done online. You can walk to the beach (200 yrds/2 flights of stairs) or around and down the golf course path (no stairs) by foot or with the golf cart included. As for around town (San Jose del Cabo), you can go with a rented car, uber, or via taxi (we can provide a taxi reservation number). The local traffic is not for the light-of-heart but is manageable. You may want to drive to Todos Santos, Cabo San Lucas, or just in to the town/village of San Jose del Cabo for Saturday market, Thursday Art-Walk or just enjoy some of the great restaurants. My personal car is in the garage, but for all kinds of reasons, this is not be available to guests. The top floor is a full floor suite with a King bed, sitting area, large flat screen TV, mini-refrigerator, outdoor balcony and eating area, his and hers walk closets. All of this with spectacular views of San Jose del Cabo and the Sea of Cortez, stunning sunrises and moonrises that have led this to name our home "Casa Luna." There are three additional bedrooms (3 King ) each with their own bathrooms. The second floor guest bedroom; with its own full bath as well as a childrens room attached. The downstairs bedrooms are off a family/common room that enjoys a mini-refrigerator, large flat screen TV, and comfy sofas and chairs. Bedrooms three and four each have recently remodeled bathrooms and have generous closet space. The downstairs King bedroom can also be separated into two twin beds.

Fabulous Vacation Spot

The house manager Marlene is wonderful with many suggestions and is there to help you have the best vacation! The house keeper is fantastic! The house itself has everything you need to cook, our group had dinner several nights at the house. The beach is easy to get to. The entire set up makes you not want to leave the house, so relaxing!

Casa Luna a beautiful home away from home

My family of five spent a wonderful week at Casa Luna in February. The house is very well situated and has beautiful views from every room. The pool is large and well heated, the beds are amazingly comfortable and the house feels like someone's home (in a good way). Every kitchen/bath necessity is provided and we were very comfortable during our stay. The property management team is welcoming and responsive and Coyo the housekeeper was a real treat. We have been visiting San Jose for many years and would definitely return to Casa Luna.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Casa Luna!

Casa Luna is located in the lovely neighborhood of Palmilla Caleta. The house has everything you need. Marlene the house manager was very nice to work with and Coyo kept the house so clean. There was a safety gate around the pool which was very comforting for my small kids. Cabo is so beautiful and we were so happy to be staying at Casa Luna. We enjoyed the short drive into San Jose and also drove into Cabo San Lucas one day too which is about 30 minutes. You can walk to the One and Only from the beach-such an amazing spot. Thanks to Mr. Looney and Casa Luna Staff for a great trip!

Casa Luna is a family pleaser

The home was exactly as advertised: large, well-maintained, and beautifully sited overlooking the Sea of Cortez. It is in a very upscale development near a long, uncrowded swimming beach as well as close to restaurants and services in the relaxed town of San Jose del Cabo. Homeowner Mike was a pleasure to deal with, very amiable and responsive to our many questions. The house had amenities galore including a fabulous sound system, an infinity pool and spa, and a kitchen with more gadgets than I'd ever seen in one home. Very well suited for a large group and those hard-to-please teenagers!

5 Stars – A Dream Vacation at Casa Luna!We had the most wonderful time at Casa Luna! The location and home are truly exquisite. We were two families with older teens and young adult children (eight of us total), and everyone was extraordinarily comfortable.The layout of the home is perfect for a group—especially with the lower level feeling like its own private retreat. It includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a family room, its own AC controls, a mini fridge, and private patio areas with direct access to the pool. Our kids loved having their own space to relax and hang out.The adults stayed on the upper floors, where we were treated to breathtaking ocean views from every window and door. The beds were all very comfortable.We spent most of our time floating in the pool, sipping cocktails, and soaking in the stunning views of Palmilla and the sea. The neighborhood is peaceful and picturesque—exactly what we were hoping for. Evenings were spent around the large round dining table, enjoying family meals and game nights. The house is thoughtfully stocked with games, a ping pong table, and plenty of amenities.Marlene, the house manager, was responsive and helpful throughout our stay, and Coyo came daily to clean and refresh towels—both were wonderful and made us feel completely taken care of.Staying in Palmilla has been on our bucket list for years, and Casa Luna made it everything we dreamed of and more. We’re already talking about when we can return!

A perfect week in San Jose/Cabo

My wife and I rely heavily on reviews when we make our bookings. Thank you to those who reviewed we booked this house for spring break. We were very happy! The service is first class. From the arrival to the departure to coordinating quality transportation to helping with special events and requests. Marlene is fantastic. coyo came every day and kept the house spotless and stocked with clean towels. We loved the personal friendly and responsive service. Palmilla and the home are great. We loved our morning walks down to the beach and around the beautiful neighborhood. We had fun visiting the Thursday art walk in San Jose. What a cute town! I would recommend this home. It’s exactly as expected and even exceeded expectations, which is hard to do as I have high expectation. Grateful for the awesome week and already trying to see when we can schedule to come back.

Family 50th wedding anniversary celebration

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family in Mike Looney's beautiful home. Everything was FANTASTIC. The pool and hot tube were in continual use with our granddaughters. It was our first time using a saline pool and we loved no chlorine. My wife, son and I went fishing with Gonzalo(recommended by Mike). He and his brother were a lot of fun and we caught a 25# Yellow Fin Tuna. We had it filleted at the marina and ate delicious grilled tuna steaks everyday. We also walked to the beach--very private, protected and safe for our granddaughters(4 & 9). Every evening we sat by the outdoor fireplace and relaxed. Housekeeper Coyo felt like part of our family. She and our daughter practiced their Spanish/English with each other(much laughter could be heard). Marlene was always available to answer our questions and helped us navigate taking the bus to San Jose for dinner. We loved every minute of our celebration.

Everything one needs for a fantastic holiday plus exceptional ocean views - what could be better!

We arrived at Casa Luna on February 2016 to find a lovely, clean, well-appointed home with great amenities! The villa enjoys a tremendous location coupled with large well-furnished outdoor patio area with exceptional ocean views. The pool and hot tub were pure bliss and the beds (and pillows) were very comfortable. The kitchen was quite well-equipped for our needs with quality appliances and the outdoor area including a great BBQ and outdoor bar area. Even before we arrived at Casa Luna we knew that this was going to be a wonderful holiday given the ease of booking and exceptional service we received from Mike (villa owner) and Marlene (local property manager). The information pack was very thorough and included wonderful little tips that made our holiday experience very relaxing. Cojo, the housekeeper, was delightful and took care of all of the day to day requirements. She was also available (for a small additional fee) to prepare breakfast which we were really happy that we took advantage of. Marlene found us a good chef that came to cook two wonderful dinner, again something I would highly recommend to other renters! In the end we loved the place and look forward to potentially returning again next year. All in all “top marks” to Casa Luna, Mike, Marlene and Cojo!!!

Perfect for a multi family vacation

As fantastic as everyone else has said. The views and the quiet/tranquility can not be overstated. We were a family of 4 and didn't even use the bottom level, there is so much space we could have easily had another family traveling with us. I've been traveling down to San Jose del Cabo for 25 years and I have now found the perfect spot. We are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 boys ages 5 and 8. We felt like we were the only people in the area, which is great when you have some "energetic" kids. The golf cart was such an added bonus, to go to the public beach where you can park and had great swimming for kids, or go to the top of the last steps of the private beach where you can drop everyone off with all the gear and go sun and paddle and watch the waves in complete uninterrupted bliss, we were always the only people on this beach (as someone who knows the area this is so rare). Plus in the golf cart you can drive across the highway to the small grocery or restaurants (fish, pizza etc) at the Palmilla Shoppes for any small grocery or liquor run you may need (if you want to do a large shop and don't rent a car definitely order grocery delivery from Fresko, otherwise if you have a car it is literally 5 minutes down the road for any food or booze that you want). We have stayed at the Palmilla One and Only Hotel which is close and an option for dinner. While I do love it so much for the setting of the hotel, the restaurants I feel are very overpriced for the food (you can go down for a drink though which is nice). So if you want to eat out I would go with Michael's advice for other places in the area, especially Flora Farms which we love - but that requires a car or a taxi. Regardless, you will 100% enjoy this house, the setting and amenities can not be beat. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Villa in Paradise

My family (4 adults + 2 child) absolutely loved the property. We loved the space, pool, private beach! We had a very relaxing vacation and everything we needed was there. My son said he was super glad our resort rooms got messed up and had to rent a house because this was the best!

Stay at Casa Luna

Casa Luna has an incredible ocean view from many rooms and it was kept very clean with daily maid service. The beach was quiet and an easy walk away. Palmilla is a beautiful community and it was so nice to have a golf cart available to run to the market or coffee shop in the neighborhood. Marlene answered all of our questions promptly and was extremely helpful in providing information and assistance for our first visit to Cabo. Also we hired a chef to cook for us two different nights thanks to Marlene’s help and he was wonderful. The food was outstanding, and they served us and cleaned everything up after dinner. We highly recommend Casa Luna and would love to return! Wonderful vacation spot for sure.

Way better than advertised

We stayed 5 nights in June ‘21. The house is absolutely terrific and would be great for a few families or a large group, with lots of privacy among the bedrooms, baths, etc. Marlene, the property manager, was outstanding at communication prior and and staying out of the way and yet ready when needed during our stay. The daily housekeeper, Coyo, does such a great job and makes delicious guacamole. We cannot speak highly enough of Casa Luna and the staff. We’ve stayed at similar properties in Palmilla before and they pale in comparison. Absolutely recommended for those seeking a quiet getaway that is not too remote (10 minutes from San Jose and about 25 from CSL). We plan to return to this home. Thanks to all!!

Wonderful in every way

This was hands down one of the best rentals I’ve had. Service was impeccable, the house stunning, very secure and staff in the community was so kind and helpful. Traveling with a group of women we felt very safe. The house is gorgeous and has everything you need we. We cooked and had more than enough space to assure everyone was comfortable. Mike was so responsive and helpful. Marlene, the house manager, was so communicative and helped us with transfers and a private chef one day. Andrea who was the housekeeper was so detailed and amazing. We will definitely be using Mikes house if available for our next trip. I’d highly recommend staying in San Jose Del Cabo over Cabo San Lucas any day. Much more elevated experience.

Amazing Home in Palmilla Area

This house is beautiful, has amazing views, greatest staff, owner is easy to deal with, location is perfect....I would definitely recommend this property and would rent it again. They were so accommodating with all of our needs, arranged drivers, food, meals, I cannot say enough good things about our experience. We were beyond thrilled with the house.

Perfect weekend and house

Whole experience was amazing, house is gorgeous, location close to surfing, fishing, and San Jose. We got a chef for 2 nts which was delicious, Coyo cleaned and cooked in the am which was a treat, and Marlene the house manager made everything so seamless and fun, very easy to get a hold of and gave us the red carpet treatment. Best place ever!

Fabulous family vacation!

We just came back from a fabulous week at Casa Luna. It was my family and my sister’s family staying there and the house is beautiful, the location is ideal, the view is spectacular, the house is well equipped and fit us all comfortably. I would only hope that every house we rent is as great as this one. You can tell the owners actually use the house and care for it very well so it has everything you need for your vacation. And the wonderful Marlene took care of anything else we possibly needed. We had 3 kids under 4 and Marlene ensured we had travel cribs, toys, a pool safety fence set up, a baby gate and baby seats. Also amazing Coyo came every day to clean and do laundry and she even cooked breakfast for us twice (we paid for that and it was well worth it!). Coyo was also so sweet with all of our kids. Everything was just perfect and we would recommend this house to anyone wanting a beautiful place to stay with loved ones.

Under the Spell of Casa Luna

As we go along life’s way, it’s a good thing to remember the very best of times. Therefore, our vacation while staying at Casa Luna will be a happy, long-lasting memory. Whatever one desires from a vacation rental, Casa Luna has it, and more. Walk from one room to another and in each enjoy the Sea of Cortez and, at the right time of the year, as was our experience, enjoy the sightings of whales breaching and playing with their offspring before making the long journey north in March. Have dinner on the spacious patio, light candles, and enjoy the romance of Baja in the evenings and come the morning wake to a view of the sun’s rising, and later enjoy breakfast prepared by Coyo, which I highly recommend. My wife, having researched many places in which to celebrate, knew immediately this was the property to give us everything. Together with Mike, the owner, and Marlene, the property manager, details were quickly sorted out. Whatever question we had Marlene was right there with all the answers, suggestions, ensuring our stay would be the best it could be. Awesome Long Weekend

Had 5 college buddies in our 40's get together. Great place to just chill by the pool. Marlene managed our stay great and I recommend Coyo for breakfast & lunch cooking. There is a surf spot (old man's) 10 minutes away. I would bring my family to this spot as well. I hope to come again next year.

We love coastal areas - Mike's an avid sailor; we both love to fish, snorkel and kayak; and we're learning to paddle board. Besides that we love to travel and look for new restaurants and wines. It's a good life.

We got lucky. One of those right place - wrong time scenarios wherein we knew it was a great buy in a fabulous location, but sooner than we were ready - but we bit the bullet anyway. The home had a lot of deferred maintenance but the fundamental layout and bones were great. And did I mention the views?
