Great property, if I could give it a 4.5 stars instead of 4 stars, I would have. Host was very responsive to questions, and easy to deal with. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because the parking is very limited, and there is a bedroom but no bathroom downstairs, not even a half bath. Otherwise, a great place to stay!
The host was very welcoming and answered my questions quickly! The house was perfect for our adult/family get together for 4 days. We made most of our meals at the house. Kitchen had everything we needed plus more! Beds were comfortable! Only thing there was no TV in the main floor living room/kitchen but truthfully we played more card games and made great memories!! This house is in city limits so was very close to neighbors and on a hill. We were glad there was no snow or ice.
Nice place with plenty of room for a large group of friends. Short drive to downtown Deadwood. Roads to the house at steep, small and limited parking but this is typical for the area and the view is gorgeous.
The house is beautiful and very spacious, the master upstairs was awesome and a beautiful view. The host prompt with everything and made check in and check out very simple. Would recommend this property
The house was perfect for our family get-together! The beds were so comfortable! Our host was quick to answer any questions or concerns. I would recommend this property to anyone who is needing a place in Lead.
we loved staying here and will stay again if ever in the area again. thank you so much the great house and weekend!! we loved watching the deer come and go too!!
Great location on the top of a ridge over Lead. We could hear the wind blowing through the pine trees and temps were cooler than in town. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. The property was spacious with plenty of room for our group to gather. Would stay here again.
Beautiful property. Rental and check in process was a breeze. Inside was clean, modern and perfect for a group of friends with plenty of common area seating/hang out space. Gorgeous view with several decks to enjoy it!
We stayed at the property for a Black Hills vacation in July 2025. The property is immaculately kept, and exceeded our expectations. Spa-like showers, panoramic views, and ideal location for our day trips. Host was responsive and hospitable. The open floor plan of the kitchen and living areas, combined with the outdoor decks, gave us a great place for visiting and sharing meals. Lovely stay!
This location was perfect for friends getaway. Parking can be a little tricky for motorcycles, but we all made it work. Hopefully, we can stay there again in the near future. Communication was phenomenal. The site looking out from the balcony was amazing.
The property and host was 10/10. Very clean home with lots of space. Fit our family very well, and host was very accommodating. Will definitely be back!! Thank you!
House was very nice for our long weekend enjoying the areas attractions. We were comfortable and everything was lovely. The only comment I would share for others is that most of the homes in that area are built on hills. Parking is limited and the driveway is on a significant grade. Those with mobility issues may struggle dealing with loading and unloading... we were glad it was snowy or icy. Thanks for a great weekend!
We all had a great time! Great for hanging out and enjoying each others company after done with the day’s adventures! Excellent and definitely would and probably will stay again
Great location, very comfortable, clean, all enmities were appreciated. Host was wonderful, made for a great experience

About the host
Hosted by Yvonne Starostecka
We enjoy spending weekends at the house, relaxing, reading books, going biking on the Michelson Trail, going out to dinner or touring the local attractions and new places we haven't seen yet. The changing weather conditions are always exciting to watch. We love going rock hunting, hiking, skiing and tubing with our kids. At night we cook dinners, sip wine and play board games.
Why they chose this property
It was love at first site. We saw the views from this house and the convenient location to so many activities, including skiing, the new Neutrino Lab in the historic Homestake gold mine and the close proximity to Deadwood events and the Michelson Trail.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with the panoramic views of the mountains this property has to offer.
