The house was amazing. The space was amazing and perfectly accommodated our 13 people. The location was great for us to get to Tulane easily, but to also get around the city to see the different sites.
This 5 bedroom house beautifully decorated with art and a mixture of antiques and traditional furniture with scrumptious textiles felt like a luxury hotel. It was perfect for 3 generations of adults traveling in for a college graduation. Christian was very accommodating and really made us feel at home!
A delightful old Victorian mansion, wonderfully decorated for a Christmas vacation, with many rooms for those needing a quiet time.
Very well provided with culinary needs including salt, pepper, sugar etc., and comfortable furnishings for getting together and relaxing.
One caveat ..beware the slippery entrance hall. We would return.
We had a contingent of friends come in for a long weekend and the FSU vs. LSU football game. The house was great. It accommodated us very well, plenty of room at at one point we had quite a large number of other friends who joined us for dinner. The house was very clean, extremely well located and a great place for us to stay. It exceeded all of our expectations. The surrounding area was quiet at night and it was very easy to get to any area of New Orleans we wished to visit. Just 2 blocks from the streetcar made it even easier to get around. I parked my truck and did not move it the entire weekend. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans.
There were 7 of us, ranging from 10 to 75. The two girls were totally amazed that we had the whole mansion to ourselves. We had lots of room, everything was clean and comfortable. (One exception was the downstairs bathroom which was not ready for guests, ie. no soap or extra t-paper.) We all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this house to others looking for a place in New Orleans. The management responded immediately when we had an issue - a leak in the 3rd floor bathroom.
I booked the mansion for my wedding weekend. My family was coming in and I wanted everyone under one roof. Lots of space, easy parking, great location for those with no cars also. The owner communicates well with check in. Heads up the mansion is divide so other families can book the other parts of the house, common outside spaces may be shared.
This home was beyond breathtaking - plenty of space for our large group, VERY clean, lots of "extras" to make us feel like we were in our home. The location was super convenient: one block walk from St. Charles streetcar, a Brother's on the corner for some drinks and late night snacks.
Communication with Christian leading up to check-in was a bit sparse. I had to contact him several times with the same questions over several weeks before getting a response. I had to contact him about a half hour before check-in for the codes to get into the property. I didn't have any contact with him while we were staying, so not sure if it would have been quicker.
Overall, a beautiful old home with a lot of character and charm!
Convenient location, easy check-in/check-out. Beautiful spacious house, nice bathrooms, kitchen is a little dated, but functional. One thing to note - only one bathroom on the main floor, and it's through the bedroom. We had a group of 6 for a long weekend, and it was perfect for us.
The property is absolutely lovely and the bedding and linens were delightful!
If you are looking for a great location, this is your house. It is one block off of St. Charles and is within walking distance to some amazing restaurants. It is also a short Uber or Lyft ride to Uptown and the Quarter.
To his credit, the owner, Christian, maintained communication with me even though our stay was about two weeks post Hurricane Ida - I know that things were crazy for him, but he still responded when I had questions or requests.
Only downside is the kitchen and a whole lot of stairs. Not that you want to go to New Orleans to cook for yourself because there are endless amazing restaurants, but the kitchen on the property is not that great. With that being said, it has every coffee/espresso machine you can imagine. Also, if you have members of your group that have any mobility issues, the stairs could be a problem.
All in all, we really did love the property and all of the outdoor space!
The house was beautiful! It’s in walking distance to a lot of restaurants and night life. But our host Christian was Amazing no matter what time I called he was there he directed us to great bakeries and restaurants for my sister birthday I truly appreciate you for being an Amazing host and allowing me and my family to stay at your beautiful home if you’re looking for a beautiful place with all the amenities, centrally located and with a Great Host this is the place to rent!!!
Plenty of space for our family. House is in great shape and very New Orleans. Easy to walk the garden district. Easy to spread out and quiet, comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen has plenty of space and dishes. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!
Wonderful, stately home in great location around the corner from the Pontchartrain. Great beds and bathrooms, great porch and balcony. Perfect for our group of 9.
All in all, the location was great! Places to eat, drink and shop were very close! The downer was my husband got a tornado watch beep on his phone, so we tried to turn on the TV and there was no signal! But this trip to N.O. was one to remember! GEAUX TIGAHS! P Wisham
Our family stayed in this beautiful Garden District home over Christmas week. It couldn't have been more perfect. The house is beautiful and comfortable. There were seven of us and we enjoyed the sun porch, side porch, front porch and living room. The kitchen, while dated served us well as we actually brought everything to cook a traditional Christmas dinner and serving it in the grand dining room was so special. There is enough plates, silverware and glasses and wine glasses for a large family. They even had silver serving platters.
The house was nicely decorated for Christmas with a tree and garland. Christian was an excellent and responsive host even though he, himself, was out of town for the holidays. We were disappointed not to get to meet him personally as other guests had mentioned, because he seems to have a lot of knowledge and history about the city and the house. I got a brief description of the history of the house over the phone but was a little distracted getting in and directing the other guests to room, etc. that I admit I didn't absorb it all and was amiss at relaying it to the other family members.
This property has everything you need, comfortable beds, nice towels, robes in every room, house slippers at the front door for each guest to roam the house in so as not to scratch the old wood floors.
Some reviews have complained about this and some of his other house rules about not banging suitcases up the marble front stairs, etc. but we live in an old 1898 house ourselves and we can appreciate not wanting it destroyed by guests who are there on a daily basis. Plus these little touches gave a feeling of elegance as if you are staying in a high-end hotel. Even the amenities in the bathrooms are very nice.
The location of this property is excellent. Most of our group had never been to New Orleans and it was just a block from the St. Charles street car stop but also is still very walkable to the restaurants and shops on Magazine Street. We also walked to Commanders Palace for dinner and to The Columns on Christmas Eve for dinner.
There is a little corner quick stop store very close by that sells milk, eggs, etc. as well as wine and liquor and also sells Brother's fried chicken if you need a quick meal or snack and is open 24/7 even on Christmas Day!
Our family agreed that if we were to meet in the city again, we would definitely stay here and will definitely recommend it to others.
We had a great stay! The location was perfect and beautiful!

Fabulous Faubourg
My son, who lives in NOLA, was getting married in the French Quarter on April 6 so I rented this fabulous home for four nights for myself and immediate family. Christian met us at the house and gave a totally comprehensive history of the place, which was fascinating. The amenities were perfect for everyone and the kitchen was supplied with enough for us to cook a buffet for over 20 people. I would happily recommend this venue.

Felt like kings and queens here during Mardi Gras!
Wow, it was so wonderful being here this past weekend. We had such a lovely time! The house was spectacular and the location was awesome. Great food and bars in the neighbor, the streetcar, parades, it was all magical.
Christian was lovely and really helpful. He couldn't have been more hospitable. Thank you!
Couldn't recommend this house more!
