Such a beautiful home and property! Very clean and comfortable. Sitting outside on the amazing porch/fire pit in the evening, and for coffee and sunrise in the morning was wonderful. Easy walk to downtown. Would love to stay again someday.
Really more like staying in a museum than a vacation rental. You feel steeped in history and can't resist imagining yourself living in the grime and bustle of Jerome's mining heyday. The views are incredible, and the gas-fired fire pit made a great setting for a well-deserved happy hour after a day of exploration.
Amazing house, clinging to the hillside above Jerome. Incredible view. What a project it was to resurrect it after the mudslide nearly destroyed it.Great stay, seamless process. Highly recommended.
The place was an experience all on it's own. Loved the plaques that helped bring the history to life. The views that made morning tea a delight and the swings that added a bit of fun.

The house was so cool!!! Lot's of history in the house and the restoration did a wonderful job of making the space accurate to the times but still comfortable for staying overnight. It was the coolest place I have ever stayed. And, walking to town and back up the hill wasn't as hard as I thought it would be - we did it in the rain! Loved it.
Love Jerome the accommodations were excellent. The road is a little risky getting to the house but once we figured it out, we were fine great views enjoyed our stay.
This was our third stay at the Riordan House and as usual, we had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, so the gorgeous patio was used most of the weekend. Beds were comfy and the house has all the supplies needed for a weekend away. Looking forward to future stays!
Fantastic accommodations! Host Glenn Odegard provided simple to follow directions as well as house rules. All of the amenities needed for our stay were provided. Also, so close to the local activities, all within a short walk. My family and I had such a wonderful time! Definitely recommend staying at the Riordan house!
As always had a fantastic stay. This was our 6 trip I believe. Have celebrated 3 anniversaries here and hope to.continue our visits. Thank you for a great weekend.
Was a great experience, will definitely rebook if we stay in Jerome, can't beat the views and the history of this place and the city.

About the host

As a fifth generation general contractor and carpenter, I bought the house with the intent to restore to it's original state to preserve a unique piece of Jerome and Arizona history.
There have been three movies filmed at the house. The painstaking accuracy of the 1890's restored exterior and interior furnishings have provided an ideal setting for that era. The latest movie, shot in 2024 in the house, was just released in 2025 on Apple TV and Amazon Prime " Modern Folklore".
Pictured along with myself (on right) is Neil Riordan(on left). Neil, along with his brother John grew up in this house from 1931 until 1953. You can read the 2 page article in ARIZONA HIGHWAYS MAGAZINE about the families life and their escape when the mudslide struck the house while living inside.
