Plenty of room for all. Grandson really liked being able to fish every evening! Very close to road and Hwy 1, which you hear during the daylight hours.Kitchen cooking implements could be improved. Owner did accommodate us when i booked one day short!Thank you!
Great location close to some beautiful places in mid coast Maine. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. Pretty walk down to the lake. Enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful old farmhouse. Needs a little TLC, but is located in a peaceful, quiet setting. It was a great location for a basecamp to explore Maine to the north and south.
Peaceful, away from the crowds. Beautiful sunsets!

The property and the farm family suited us to a "T"---truly terrific!
"The Little House" (the name of the excellent WI-FI service) was as neat as a pin and clean as a whistle; it lacked nothing that we needed or wanted. We are anxious to return next year.
Stay was fine for an old farm house. The toilet paper was rationed (2 rolls provided). If you anticipated using more, we were told we needed to supply our own.l beyond the two rolls. Served our needs well other than that.
The small refurbished farm house was clean and accommodating. Dawn and her husband were very welcoming. Being in farm country was an interesting and refreshing change for us. Really enjoyed the farm store, Beth’s Place.
My wife, two-year old daughter and I had a wonderful time at this property. My daughter loved being able to play outside and watch the farm equipment at work. And when we walked down to North Pond, it was almost impossible to get her out of the water. I caught some decent-sized bass while taking the canoe out, and I'm sure there's a few "pigs" to be found if you cover enough water. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It might not be for everyone, but it was perfect for my small family and we'd love to come back sometime!

Once again - It was perfect!
We have rented this house many times in the past and always are pleased with the home and the service. The Pendletons are friendly and provide for all our needs. It is such a beautiful spot. Thanks for sharing it with us. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Great location, scenery. Enjoyed plowing of fields, tractor. Good experience for suburban/urban grandkids. Swim pond was indeed refreshing on hot day. Went to pond where kayak stored. Didn’t go on the water but it was a beautiful scene at dusk.
No address info at property. Junkyard on property
Unfinished remodeling both inside and outside. Inconvenient location.

Great value; charming hosts; bucolic farmsetting
From the moment I first inquired about the property, the owners were very welcoming and reachable. From the providing of pre-arrival information to the fresh strawberries from their farm that awaited me when I arrived, they took care of all my needs. The property is a recently renovated farm house building, close enough to have me feel I was part of a farm, but not so close that I didn't have a complete sense of privacy. Conveniently located for services and attractions, but still a sense of rural Maine. Great value. Clean and orderly.

A great week in Maine
Thank you so much for opening your house to us. We had a memorable week of fishing and vacationing. The house was very clean and comfortable for our family of four and The Pendleton Family were great hosts! It was such a peaceful setting, yet very close proximity to lots of "Maine Attractions". We enjoyed the Union Fair and were all very impressed with the Lobster Dinner! Everything was fresh from the lobsters to the corn on the cob, coleslaw and strawberry shortcake. Dawn is an excellent cook! Our two dogs were greatful for being allowed to join us for long walks and swimming. Thank you for one of our bests vacations ever.
We really enjoying staying at Dan & Dawn's farm house. It was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of hotel living. We were able to spread out and have lots of quiet time. We were fortunate that the weather was slightly cooler the days we stayed there since there wasn't AC it got pretty warm in the evening but with windows open and multiple fans running, we managed. Our kids were pretty surprised to not have TV (no cable or antenna connection) for a couple of days but we enjoyed watching a movie each night as a family (there was a great selection to pick from!) The well water had a pretty significant sulfur smell and taste but we used bottled water and filter water was provided. The highlight of the stay was going out on North Pond (a pretty rough and bumpy trail to get to). It was so much fun to canoe and paddle boat out there. We felt like we had he place to ourselves. Dan and Dawn were very hospitable and I would certainly stay again, just during a cooler season.
My wife and I stayed here for a 5 day weekend getaway with our dogs.
The house was perfect for us. A screened porch and mudroom for hitching up the dogs and cleaning them off after our adventures.
A well stocked kitchen with all the pots pans and tools to cook up a good meal, including a lobster pot. The living room had a new smart TV and WiFi that was plenty fast enough for streaming.
We liked that there were king beds, but one was Super soft and not the most comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of HOT water.
Our two Labradors gave their seal of approval to the many farm roads and hay fields they got to explore on the property.
But their favorite part of the stay was swimming in the two spring fed ponds near the house and the big lake at the back of the property. They were spoiled by having such easy access to water.
Overall, we loved our stay and hope to return next year.
A quick warning for those considering this property - it is located on a working farm. And there's farm equipment working the property pretty much any time it's light out. It didn't bother me at all - except that I didn't get to drive the loader - but people looking for absolute quiet may be disappointed to hear a tractor rumble by the house or across the field at 8 a.m. on a Sunday.
