Casa Mar y Sol - Literally, “The sea and sun house” has two apartments, Las Margaritas, Dos Cervezas. Centrally located only a block and half from the beach where you will view those gorgeous sunsets and be less than a 5 minute walk to groceries, restaurants and shopping. Las Margaritas & Dos Cervezas are both two bedroom apartment.
The apartments share a gated courtyard with sitting areas, beautiful backyard garden with a heated pool, second floor deck with 2 bbq’s. Both apartments have Starlink wifi, smart tv, fully stocked kitchens, linens, towels and maid service.

The place was wonderful! Marisol answered all our inquiries promptly. Rosa kept it clean, the beds are comfortable, and having potable water connected to the fridge and sink was a bonus (we had ice). The location was excellent. Easy walking distance to shopping, the beach, the malecon...everything we needed. On our last day, when we were about to leave, Marisol came to the house to let us know about the "insurrection". She could not have been kinder or more supportive. She checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything. We're sad that the place is not availble next year.....we would come back without hesitation.

Comfortable, Clean & Convenient

Location of the home was within short walking distance to several good restaurants and not far from the centre of Barra, its beach and malecon. Home was secure, clean, beds were comfortable and small pool very welcome on warmer days. Some minor street noise at times was only a minor annoyance. Would stay again.

Four of us enjoyed our 2 week stay on ground floor apartment. It is close to everything and has many extra touches like books and even a crib board! The kitchen area is large and open, good for a group. Some home renos next door were unlucky timing for us ...but only loud for 3 mornings. The street is generally quiet with friendly neighbors. We would definitely consider booking again. The dipping pool was a bonus on hot afternoons.

Absolutely the cleanest and most comfortable rental we have ever stayed in. Four adults....9 days...perfectly comfortable for all. Thinking about a month stay for next year.

Lovely Barra Home Base

Marisol's Casa in Barra de Navidad offers a lovely home base from which to explore this part of the Mexican coast. The Casa is an easy walk from town and only a couple of blocks to the beach, where we went for beach time or sunsets. The Casa was spotlessly clean, and the front and back garden areas were kept in perfect order as well. We didn't have a single bug in the Casa over our entire week stay, which is very atypical for tropical homes - Thank you Rosa for meticulous housecleaning! The back garden oasis with the pool was a real treat to come back to each day. The whole house, both the upstairs and lower units would make a great place for a family holiday gathering.

Very nice casa. Rosa (housekeeper) and Jesus (husband) are exceptionally nice people and do virtually anything you want around the property. Very clean and secure property, and location cannot be beat - you can walk anywhere in Barra from there - very central and quiet location. All the neighbors know the owners so there are always people around to keep eyes on things. Overall, our rating is excellent.

Amazing retreat, lovely clean pool, close to chicken take-out, walk to town or use the bikes provided. Five minutes walk to watch the sunrise. Nothing is lacking, thank you Marisol. Minutes to bus and taxi stand.

Cute, Quaint and Good Location

Our famold of four, with 1 toddler, enjoyed our stau. The rooms are on the small side but we only needed good beds and a place to keep.our clothes, so they were perfect for crashing after out adventuees: ceilimg fans, nice wardrobes, tile floors, good windows. Two nice bathrooms with cool showers. The shared spaces in front and back are amazing. Little oasis with shaded aeating, tiny dipping pool, nice landscaping, a big gas grill, bikes and more. You're a couple blocks from the canals and the heart of Barra, but this was no problem. The walk is quick and it was a little quieter. We felt very safe parking our car on the street at the flat. We never used it in Barra, just to get to La Manzanilla, Tenacatita and other exploring spots. The kitchen functions fine, but needs a little more storage space and organization in the undercounter areas and utility drawers. Rose and Chuy, the housekeepers, are amazing and we love Marisols recommend taxi driver, too.

Close to downtown, quiet and the housekeepers are the best. We would definetly stay again. Not on the beach but within 2 blocks, easy walk. Small pool for cooling off, 5 bikes and a barbeque.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to escape this would definitely be it!

I wish I had known ahead of time that this place was going to be so inviting because I would have gladly extended our stay here to allow more time to enjoy what all it has to offer. Clean, clean, clean and VERY secure. Accommodations are comfortable and lively decor just like I saw on the website. We found it central to everything just a 5 minute walk to anywhere in town. This place is enchanting with it’s stunning sunsets by the beach. The assortment of restaurants for any meal, the lively music that can be heard as you walk from place to place….. what a secret treasure for those of us escaping the long cold eastern winters. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to escape this would definitely be it! Rachael McDougall
