This rural house was built on the ruins of a typical Andalusian 'cortijo' or farmhouse, jealously respecting its harmony with the environment and at the same time thinking of everything required to ensure you stay is as comfortable as possible. Perhaps for this reason, and for many others that we invite you to discover here, the Tourism, Trade and Sports Council of the government of Andalusia recently recognised the Casa de la Higuera as a Superior Rural House, the top category awarded by the government for rural houses.
Located on a traditional olive estate (9 hectares), from its terraces the Casa de la Higuera offers magnificent views of the Nature Reserve and the village of Zagrilla, from where the accommodation can be reached via an asphalt road. One of house's characteristics that is often mentioned by our clients is its location, located on a hill and on a private estate, which means you can enjoy a peaceful, intimate setting. Just 300 metres from the village, it nonetheless seems to be set apart from the rest of the world.
We offer our guests five double rooms, two with a double bed and three with twin beds. We have three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, central heating, living room with a fireplace, terrace, garage and garden with a large pool, surrounded by extensive open areas with fabulous views.
We guarantee your stay will be unforgettable. You will discover for yourself that comfort and quality can go hand in hand with tranquillity, calm and peace and quiet.

Property was as described, clean comfortable and spacious. Fernando visited twice a week to clean pool at an arranged time. A peaceful location with great views and privacy. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Very good country home for exploring Andalusia

This house was ideally located for our day trips to Cordoba and Granada and for exploring the local Andalusian region. It was well represented on the website and fully and well equipped. The owner was hospitable, punctual and, despite language difficulties, thorough with the check in process. The house is very clean and comfortable. The pool and grounds are well maintained and the terrace is a perfect location for a meal or a glass of wine and enjoying the view. One constructive comment - the house would be more comfortable with queen size beds rather than double beds. That said, it did not prevent us from booking it for 5 nights, nor did it adversely affect our stay.

Magnífica propiedad y entorno. Comentarios en lineas con los emitidos. Solo destacar la perfecta simbiosis entre el propietario y su proyecto que se reflejan en la solidez, buen hacer, innovación, integración con el entorno y amor por la tierra de ambos. Nuestras sinceras felicitaciones. P..S. Un aviso menor: el acceso a la vivienda dentro de la finca se hace a traves de un camino con pavimentacion adecuada pero con pendientes del 20%. Nada insalvable pero para lo que es mejor estar sobre aviso.

Es, sin duda, una de las mejores casas que se pueden alquilar en la provincia de Cordoba. Está completa y perfectamente equipada. La calefacción en todas las habitaciones es una maravilla. Todo limpio, buena comunicación con Fernando, que además fue muy amable y tuvo varios detalles con nosotros. Un 10 sobre 10.

Excellent property and location. The villa was exactly as shown in the pictures. Located in an area where you can enjoy good walking around Carcabury or the nearby Via Verde if you want something easier. Fernando was an excellent host showing a great respect for our privacy. Just a short walk along a well lit road is a bar and restaurant offering a good mix of food.

Unvergessliches Urlaubserlebnis!

Wir haben traumhafte zwei Wochen verbracht. Das Haus, der Garten und der Pool sind einfach nur großartig! Das Objekt liegt wunderbar abgelegen, so dass wir nur für uns sein konnten. Der Text der Annonce sagt alles: Wenn sie hier waren, wollen sie wiederkommen. Auf jeden Fall! Höchst empfehlenswert! Auch in der Umgebung gibt es viel zu sehen. Innerhalb einer guten Stunde sind bspw. Malaga, Granada, Cordoba und Jaén erreichbar.

Schönes Anwesen mit toller Aussicht

Wir haben zwei Wochen die herrliche Aussicht auf Olivenhaine und Berge genossen. Ausflugsziele sind ausreichend vorhanden. Ganz besonders haben uns der große Pool und die vielen Sitzplätze (mal sonnig, mal schattig) auf dem schönen Gartengelände gefallen. Fernando ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, spricht überwiegend spanisch, das ist aber dank Internet-Übersetzer und Verständigung mit "Händen und Füßen" kein Problem.

Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt an einem wunderbaren Ort.

Das Haus mit Pool ist traumhaft schön. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und praktikabel angeordnet. Es fehlte nichts. Die Aussicht und Lage sind phänomenal. Wir haben uns 10 Tage mit unseren Kindern sehr wohl gefühlt. Herzlichen Dank an Fernando für alles, auch für sein nettes Begrüßungsgeschenk, für seine Hilfsbereitschaft und für die guten Olivenöl-Einkaufstipps. Einzig etwas störend war das ständige Gebell der Nachbarshunde, die an die Kette gelegt waren. Das aber kann auch Fernando natürlich nicht ändern. Fazit: Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Hasta pronto!

Une oasis au milieu des oliviers...

Cette maison est spacieuse, très propre, très bien équipée et les literies sont confortables. Mais ce qui nous a le plus enchantés, ce sont tous ses extérieurs: extrêmement bien entretenus et arborés, ils offrent de nombreuses possibilités pour s’installer selon l’heure de la journée et l’envie d’ombre ou de soleil. Et à chaque fois une vue splendide sur la campagne environnante, sans aucun vis à vis. Mention spéciale pour la terrasse du premier étage qui nous a accueillis tous les matins dans la douceur du soleil levant et tous les soirs pour admirer les étoiles. Fernando, le propriétaire, est d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité sans faille. Merci encore pour tout!

Magnifica casa

La casa es fantástica la mires por donde la mires: habitaciones amplias y luminosas, camas y almohadas comodisimas, cocina equipada con mas cosas de las que necesitas y la piscina, sin duda, el rincón por el que merece la pena pasar cada minuto de tu estancia. El propietario atentisimo (esas bebidas frescas después del calor del viaje no tienen precio). Repetiría, sin dudarlo.

Bonjour, Superbe maison très propre bien équipée climatisée grande piscine le jardin est bien entretenu entouré d’oliviers aucun vis à vis tranquillité assurée! le propriétaire est super sympa très discret y’a une ville à 15 minutes en voiture ou vous pouvez faire vos courses achats pas mal de boutique d’huile D’olive....y’a même un parc pour se balader, il a fait beau tout les jours j’y retournerai avec grand plaisir !

Traumhafte Finca

Um die Finca zu erreichen ist der Weg von Priego de Córdoba nach Zagrilla Baja zu empfehlen. Kurz vor Zagrilla Baja zweigt die Strasse links in einen Weg ab. Bald steht man dann vor dem Tor mit einer etwas steilen Auffahrt zu dem Haus. Nach der Auffahrt, dann die Überraschung, Casa de la Higuera! Eine wunderschöne Finca mit einem genialen Ausblick und einem überwältigendem Pool. Dieser ist ca 12 x 6 m groß (ohne Einstieg, der kommt noch hinzu). Die tiefste Stelle misst mehr als 2 m. Man fühlt sich wie im Freibad. Das Video läßt es schon vermuten, aber in der Realität ist das Haus und der Pool noch beeindruckender. Die Finca selbst, ist wie auf den Bildern zu erkennen, einfach perfekt. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet was man für den Urlaub benötigt. Einzig ein Bügeleisen konnten wir nicht entdecken ;-). Wir hatten eine sehr freundliche Begrüßung durch den Vermieter. Fernando war jederzeit hilfsbereit. Es gab sogar deutsches Fernsehen und wir konnten dabei den WM Start verfolgen. Die Finca liegt sehr ruhig und ist für einen Relaxurlaub, auch für große Familien, wie gemacht. Die nächst größere Einkaufsmöglichkeit liegt in Priego de Córdoba in ca. 7 km Entfernung. Wir hatten von hier aus Ausflüge nach Ronda, Córdoba, Malaga, Nerja und Granada gemacht was jeweils eine Fahrzeit von ein bis zwei Stunden bedeutete. Wir würden die Finca wieder mieten und können sie auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Muchas gracias und saludos an Fernando.

Beautiful Villa in a beautful locatiion.

Perfect location for a holiday away from the busy tourist areas. Villa is well provisioned with everything you could need - including a ping-pong table! Pool is large - and very refreshing. Fernando was very helpful throughout our stay - including the time I couldn't figure out how the front gate worked! Zagrilla is a very small village - and you will need a car to get around beyond that. Javier (https://www.facebook.com/taxipriego/) runs a really good taxi service though - and he's a lovely chap too. The view from the terrace is breathtakng - I'll try to post a picture.

Wunderschöner Urlaub!

Die Anfahrt war dank unseres Navis sehr kurvenreich und langwierig, doch das Ferienhaus hat uns sofort entschädigt. Der Ausblick war traumhaft und es fehlte an nichts. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr umkompliziert. Leider sprechen wir kein Spanisch, doch per Mail und ("Online-Übersetzer") hat er sofort auf unsere Anliegen reagiert. Für Ausflüge im Osten von Andalusien liegt das Haus ideal. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder Urlaub machen und nun wissen wir auch, dass es eine ganz normale Anfahrt ohne bemerkenswerte Steigungen und Kurven bis zum Hausgrundstück gibt.

Muchas gracias por su comentario y estaré encantado de atenderles en otra ocasión. A veces el navegador indica la dirección por carreteras secundarias. Para evitar esto, aconsejamos a nuestros clientes que siempre busquen Priego de Córdoba en vez de Zagrilla. La carretera de Priego de Córdoba a Zagrilla es muy buena. (7km). De nuevo muchas gracias y un cordial saludo.

Beautiful house in a splendid environment.

We stayed 10 days in Casa de la Hiquera. Beautiful house, in the middle of an olive orchard and just 20 minutes from Priego de Cordoba (by car). Nice and quiet. The house is well equipped, clean and well-maintained with a big swimming-pool in the yard. And above all, mr. Fernando Rico Osuna is a friendly, caring and hospitable host. We, a family of 6 adults en 4 children, had a wonderful time there.

A RECOMMANDER SANS HESITER - CASA HIGUERA

Superbe résidence ... avec tout ce qui était promis ... et plus encore ! En vacances avec 8 amis fin octobre ... Vue extraordinaire sur toute la vallée ... Dommage que le climat n'était plus optimal pour profiter plus de la piscine .... Attention : n'accrochez pas de vêtements au porte manteau près de l'entrée juste au dessus du diffuseur de "parfum" (Harpic n°5 je crois) et conseil : débranchez le dès l'arrivée ! Autre conseil : prendre un répulsif anti-moustiques , ils sont voraces ... Merci pour la serviabilité de Fernando Restos proches : la Fuente à Zagrilla Alta - ne paye pas de mine mais extra, portions XXL / Los Alamos à Zagrilla Baja - (en prévenant) idem que Fuente mais choix moins large (hors saison peut être) Dans les environs hors des sentiers battus : Alcala La Real et sa citadelle, Zuheros (!!!), Lucena ... On y retournera ...

Maison exceptionnelle

Maison parfaite dans un cadre exeptionnel et très bien située Je conseille vraiment cette location, nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable avec nos enfants.La piscine est grande, propre, sécurisée (c'est plutôt rare en espagne) dans un très joli cadre.La maison est très bien équipée, le jardin très agréable avec des vues grandioses.Le propriétaire est charmant, c'est une location exceptionnelle.Nous souhaitons y retourner un jour ! Nous avons passé une sema...

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve dans cette superbe maison,tout est calme et beauté. La maison est joliment décorée, rien n'y manque. La piscine est grande et très propre, dans la journée elle rafraîchit et le soir elle réconforte les frileux. Le propriétaire Fernando Rico est disponible et très gentil. Enfin le coin est magnifique, nous avons pu visiter Córdoba, en août il y fait très chaud mais c'est ce que l'on vient chercher en Andalousie. Comme une semaine n'était pas suffisante, nous avons réservé 15 jours pour l'été prochain ainsi nous pourrons profiter pleinement de ce petit coin de paradis. Recuerdos de Francia

Nous avons passer 15 jour...

Nous avons passer 15 jours dans un environnement MAGNIFIQUE, le panorama depuis la maison est Sublime car située sur une colline. La piscine est superbe,la maison est parfaite, de plus elle est située à distance raisonnable pour visiter les plus belles villes d'Andalousie. Le propriétaire Mr Fernando est d'une extrême gentillesse. Vacances parfaites, allez y sans crainte !

Séjour parfait dans cette...

Séjour parfait dans cette maison qui répond tout à fait a sa description. La propreté des lieux était impeccable. Les couleurs du paysage changent selon les heures de la journée. La grande piscine était très propre et le jardin très agréable bien clôture (pour les petits chiens). Excellent accueil du propriétaire.
