Wonderful Stay

Wonderful people and property very well maintained. Even though we were there only 4 nights, wish could have stayed longer. Easy access and grounds are immaculate For those thinking of a close to town and quite villa this is amazing About the owners, exceptional is one word to describe their hospitality

A perfect place nearby Fatima

The hosts, Maria and Victor were awesome! At our request, Maria had the kindness to cook for us 3 of the 4 days we stayed at their beautiful place. She’s an amazing cook! We enjoyed the best meals at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a countryside experience in Portugal. They also have a beautiful pool and pool area. .everything was amazing!

Great House - great stay!

This house/property fully lived up to our expectations. Various parts of my family arrived in the Ourem area for a wedding just over a week ago. Ten of us, six adults and four children, stayed in this house for four nights - and it was great. We had plenty of space for sleeping, eating, cooking, relaxing, etc. The house has lots of space, and could have easily hosted more people. In addition to the space, the swimming pool was also great - and we used it everyday. The surrounding landscape and gardens are also very nice - and well kept. We had no problems, and the owners were very nice and welcoming. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in this part of Portugal again. We all have very fond memories of our stay......

Authentic Portuguese Vacation

Our hosts welcomed us to their beautiful home and property. We arrived to an authentic Portuguese dinner care of Maria and it was delicious. The cost was very reasonable and the portions were very generous. So much so we had her prepare us a second meal of rabbit and pork. Again, delicious! The home worked well for our large family of 12 adults with six rooms. The online pictures do not do this place justice. It is a very beautiful home and has all the amenities from home. The kitchen is well stocked for large groups. The hosts are readily available for any questions and live very close by. The beds are all firm mattresses and very clean. The garage with bbq and stove and oven and fridge is an awesome extension of this property. We had so much fun here. Would definitely recommend this home and will hopefully get to return in the future.

Absolutely beautiful property, built over 30 years, with love put into every single detail by the owners and improved by the hospitality of the owners.We stayed with 7 of us, and it was still too big for us! The kids 3-9 loved it, and the property is very child safe (Fireplace blocked off, pool secured with gates, the entire property is walled off with electric gates)From the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, to the locally produced port and the amazing Jams provided by the owners (Amazing on some croissants)The photos do not do the property justice, 6 bedrooms, an orangery (Which has lemon trees in which we made fresh lemonade from), the large pool, beautiful outdoor toilet and changing room next to the pool.The beds were comfy, and the furniture all simply beautiful all created by Victor, not to mention the traditional pizza oven and BBQ.The owners couldn't have made our stay better, and after traveling to every continent, I can confidently say that this is one of my favourite places I have stayed, they even got the internet upgraded for me which allowed me to work without issues!It's within a 5 minute driving distance of several supermarkets and everything you could need.I would suggest visiting the Dinosaur Footsteps, the caves, and a walk around Fatima.Thank you again, it was a truly special holiday.

Perfect place for a family holiday!

Victor and Maria Penela have built this place up over 30 years, and it had everything we could possibly want. We knew the swimming pooling looked good, but the little chill-out hut with water-cooler was icing on the cake. We were grandparents, two sets of children and three grandchildren. Victor and Maria could not have been more accommodating, from letting us arrive early and providing a slap-up lunch to get us started, to letting the grandchildren feed the chickens and hold the baby rabbits (!) and being very relaxed about when we left on the final day. The rooms were all spacious and clean and well fitted out; there were piles of glasses, plates, etc., and basically two kitchens. And we hadn't realised there was a large trampoline and petanque court. Something for everybody, and totally safe and enclosed. The area too is full of interest, from the charming hill of old Ourem with its castle, to the magnificent Convento do Christo at Tomar, and the monastery of Batalha not far away, plus the popular but relaxed river beach at Agroal. So much better than being stuck at the seaside in high season. And by our second week we had respectable local restaurants to ourselves. I'd say it was our best family holiday ever. Obrigado, Victor and Maria!

Superbe villa

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette magnifique villa. Plus jolie à l’intérieur que ce que montrent les photos. Il y avait de la place pour tout le monde (nous étions 13) pour dormir mais aussi pour manger dans une énorme salle à manger. Les propriétaires, très accueillants et disponibles pour toute demande. Ils étaient sur place mais très discrets. Nous les apercevions qu’au besoin. Nous pouvions cueillir différents fruits directement des arbres tous les jours. Et il y avait une dame qui proposait des repas traditionnels à des petits prix pas loin de la maison. Nous n’avons presque pas fait à manger de la semaine. Un luxe pouvoir lui commander à l’avance ce que nous désirions, partir en promenade la journée, et rentrer le soir avec le repas déjà fait. Très bons, copieux et vraiment pas cher. Nous le conseillons vivement! Bref, villa/ château très jolie avec des extérieurs soignés. Une piscine à une température idéale. Chambres spacieuses et 4 salles de bains. Hâte de revenir!

Magnifique sejour

Une superbe maison dans un environnement tres calme, à proximité de nombreux sites culturels et touristiques. Des propriétaires genereux et pleins d'attentions . Une grande piscine et un terrain de pétanque pour accueillir toute la famille, la detente et l'apero... Tout ce que nous sommes venus chercher etait là. Merci à Maria et Victor !!

Mooi riant huis met heerlijk zwembad

Mooi groot huis met bijna alle slaapkamers voorzien van een eigen badkamer. Keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Alles was netjes en zeer schoon. Zoutwater zwembad was echt heerlijk met genoeg zitplaatsen eromheen. Zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije eigenaren. Wij waren hier met een groep van 13 volwassenen en 3 kinderen, maar omdat het zo groot is, had je toch alle ruimte. Echt fantastisch. Wij komen hier zeker terug!!!

Très belle villa. Nous avons apprécié ses espaces intérieurs et extérieurs. Notamment la praticité d'avoir des salles de bains dans chaque chambre ou attenantes à celles-ci. L'espace piscine est très agréable et très bien aménagé. Les accessoires présents rendent le lieux très décontractant (salon de jardin et transats) et idéal pour les enfants (jouets gonflables) comme pour les grands pour passer de bons moments d'amusement. La cuisine extérieure nous a également séduite et permis de faire de bons petits repas avec le four à pain. Quelques petits soucis techniques (climatisation et store bloqués) qui ont été pris en charge avec réactivité par les propriétaires. En conclusion nous avons passé tous d'excellente vacances au sein de cette villa qui offre des prestations variées et complètes pour le plaisir de chacun.

"Nous sommes arrivés à 11 personnes avec 2 bébés et la maison a été plus qu'adaptée. Maison qui est très sympa avec des chambres très agréables. Les prestations sont vraiment appréciables: piscine, pétanque, petit jardin potager, barbecue... bref des vacances comme on aimerait en avoir tout le temps ! D'autre part, Mme P., la propriétaire, a été très disponible et serviable à notre égard pour nous faire découvrir les alentours et nous faire découvrir les mets de la région :-)"
