Private 17th Century Country Villa Podere Croci

Villa of 1600 has been transformed from a former monastery to a modern holiday house on 3 floors with a total area of 1000 square meters nestled in the picturesque Volterra hills and surrounded by five hectares of pure nature.

Ideal location to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside with a large group of relatives and/or friends just a few kilometers from the most interesting sites of Tuscany, as well as the beach.

The villa welcomes 16+ guests with 3 kitchens, 4 terraces, a traditional pizza oven, a swimming pool with sun loungers and a table tennis table.

The villa (Podere) lies in the suggestive hilly area between Pisa and Volterra, only 1 km from a little village with restaurants, cafes and grocery shops. From the house one can admire a vast and wonderful panorama of fields and rolling hills. The view stretches out past Volterra (30 km) and almost into the Chianti area.

The origin dates back to the 17th century: at that time it was inhabited by monks and used for religious purposes; it later served as a farm. Following very careful restoration in full respect of the original structures and the interesting addition of comfortable elements of modern architecture. Furnished and well-equipped.

Guests can use the whole garden around the villa. The house is surrounded by five hectares of wild nature, for your private use with fields, olive groves and woods that invite for leisurely walks in beautiful surroundings.

The Pool is in the garden and not heated, so it will only be open from May 15 to September 15, if the temperatures allow it.

On request we help organizing traditional Tuscan cuisine dinners, cooking classes, wine tastings, horseback riding and many other services.

Our gardeners also produce Extra Virgin Olive Oil with the olive trees that are on the property. It is natural oil without any chemical contamination, for interested guests we sell it for the desired amount.
