A great holiday in this most beautiful of locations. The house, a converted sheepfold, is cosy and well-equipped, the host Vincent was super-helpful with great communication, and on-site the caretaker, lovely Paulette from the neighbouring farm, was there to greet us and offer advice and any help we needed. The house is very private, just the sound of birdsong and distant cow bells. The view from the terrace was the absolute highlight, to be able to eat our meals or sit with an evening drink watching the spectacular hills change colour, little clouds float around the hilltops, and birds of prey hover over the trees. Lots of walks from the house and beyond in the Pyrenees, there is some stunning scenery. Groceries and restaurants by car nearby in Bagneres de Bigorre. So much more to explore, we didn’t have enough time! But would choose this lovely retreat for a return visit in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
