This flat itself is shared with the host and 2 other guests who live on the 3rd floor in loft-like bedrooms.

1 full bath 2nd Floor and 1/2 bathroom 3rd Floor - tiny toilet closet so be careful not to bump your head. :)

The Convention Centre and the Scotia Bank Centre are only 15 min walk.

Museum of Natural History and the Public (Victorian) Garden are found by foot in 10 minutes.

The Universities i.e., Saint Mary’s, Dalhousie, and Nascad, English as a Alternate Language Schools and Business Colleges are close.

In 2025 the property description has changed - we offer a downsize version from the entire place to 1 calendar listing a queen bedroom on the 2nd floor. It is being promoted for June, July and August for 1 guest on a long-term basis 30 + nights.

This property location continues to be supreme as the soul of city central - it has it all, and is easily accessible to historic or green space venues. The ocean air is at your doorstep . . . on a misty summer night you can hear the fog horn . . .

5 Star Location - on Pepperell St - 2 doors down from Robie St.

This property is in the heart of the city! We have a bike and skate oval, a shopping and food district, The Halifax Common, Museums, Play Parks and Pools. Everything is here!

The property itself is on a side street and it seems like a small town with a mixture of century and midcentury homes, brick and mortar buildings - and trees that line the street.

This property has been family-owned and occupied as a set of flats since 1994. We are exclusively a "shared long-term stay - 30 day" accommodation.

Description of property:

Starting with the sunny kitchen - it has century charm - accent red stools and chairs are around the dining table and open cupboards so everything like dishes, cutlery, glassware and pots and pans are visible at a glance.

The dishwasher is a portable hook-up, so if you want a video "on how-to hook up" let me know. There is a basin in the sink if you prefer to hand-wash.

There is a stove, microwave, 2 fridges and numerous small appliances. Queen Bedroom guest and the host share 1 fridge while the 3rd guests share another.

Kitchen cupboard has dry goods - flour, salt and pepper, spices, oil, sugar etc.

The queen bedroom is on the main floor of the flat - ground floor entrance to 2nd floor. Reviews connected to this room over the last 8 months show 5 star ratings.

Why they chose this property

I am a retired teacher and many years ago I bought this century house - a set of flats in downtown Halifax Nova Scotia. This turned out to be the greatest neighbourhood in Halifax - everything was at my fingertips and for my 3 young children.

We joined VRBO for short-term stays during the spring and summer months in 2015 but since the Covid shut down and unforeseen life events, we have since moved to reserve 3 furnished bedrooms long-term - 30 + nights. This the first time - June 9, 2025, I will be advertising "open for business" with VRB0 for a long time. My calendars are synced with Airbnb,

Featured Queen Bedroom is on the 2nd floor - workspace - closets - nice lighting - double windows.

2 loft-like bedrooms, each with their own booking calendar, have double beds and are on the 3rd floor and reserved for 1 person per bedroom.

This property is in the heart of the city - downtown residential and amenities galore.

What makes this property unique

This property is unique in that the century old woodwork and doors are the original throughout the house. The old cast iron radiators add charm with the mix of antique and comtempory furnishings in this queen bedroom.

This flat has been host to people attending graduations, conferences, weddings, family reunions, sport and business events and festivals in the performing and visual arts.

As your Host, I am very reachable and happy to respond to you quickly. I am available by text or in person always. I will sometimes live on the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs and occasionally share the kitchen and main bath. Otherwise I tend to keep to myself and respect your privacy. :)

Guests have used this flat as a jumping off point to explore Halifax and real countryside with unique history and diverse landscape in other parts of Nova Scotia:

The Annapolis Valley - 1 hour's drive - amazing countryside - cows in pastures;
The South Shore - white sandy beaches;
Cape Breton - fabulous mountain and coastal scenery and home to international music-makers.
