Closest Condo to the Gulf; Right on the Ocean 510
Well maintained two bedroom, two bath condominium is located off Thomas Drive right on the beach. The Condo is located on the top floor (5th) and overlooks the Gulf. There are no large developments on either side of Gulfgate. You can leave the condo and be on the beach in 60 seconds. The pool is heated and lounge chairs and tables for your use are located in the pool areas. You must be 25 years or older to rent at Gulfgate. Our condo has Tile floors and king size beds in both bedrooms. Master bedroom also opens to the spacious balcony . Both bedrooms and living area have TV's. We also have wireless internet. We just purchased the condo next door with identical floor plan and have just finished the renovation with same paint scheme and beautiful new tile floors. Gulfgate is close to all major attractions and shopping. Gulfgate is the perfect place to bring your family and have a wonderful vacation. We are never crowded !

Overall great experience, building is under construction and pool isn’t open. Location and condo was fantastic. Super quiet and had the beach basically to ourselves hardly anyone there! We will definitely be back.
Great place to stay. So close to the beach with a great view. The layout of the condo is perfect and good size.Ben was great to work with! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
You won’t beat this beach. If that is your priority you will love this place. Very nice beach and great location. Not the newest property, but they had everything we needed, and we loved our stay. Would stay here again.
Location is the best! Close to attractions and state park. Just steps from beach! Easy access to condo from parking. Clean and just as described! Host was very accommodating. We will be back!

We loved this place !! We will for sure stay here again! Clean , everything you need. Just make sure you bring a firestick or Roku because we couldn't get the cable to work. Which your at the beach so there is not a lot of need for TV. We did bring our firestick for the kids to watch at night so it wasn't an issue for us. I would recommend this place to anyone.

ON THE BEACH
Being right on the beach was what drew us to your facility. Price made a difference also, but they do say you get what you paid for. It really needs some "minor" repairs, updating, etc. But it was beautiful being right on the beach, exactly what we wanted.

The mattresses need replacing. Furniture is worn out. Bathroom floors need good scrubbing. Front door and trim needs painting.

I am so sorry to hear about your stay. I wish that you would have called me because we just bought and remodeled the unit next door. We just went live on VRBO today 7/22/20 and I could have moved you next door or given you a refund so you could go somewhere else. Eighty percent of my guest are repeats and I always ask for any recommendations from them. The last nine reviews going back to last September have been 5 stars. I know that because of covid and the new elevator installation this spring that painting was pushed back until the fall. We just installed all new stainless appliances (dishwasher,oven,microwave and double door refrigerator) in early March and will be going down in late September to replace all necessary items. Also the bathroom floors have dark grey grout and are "chloroxed" every cleaning.

What I liked: considerate communication from the owner, views of beach & ocean from living room, balcony and master; having 2 bdrms and 2 baths, the small size of the bldg. What could’ve been better: it had been cleaned before arrival but it needs a deep, thorough cleaning. It’s old and kind of dingy and the kitchen really needs updating. But I also know that owners don’t always put a lot into a pet-friendly unit.

This condo is a cozy home away from home. The view of the Gulf is awesome from the master bedroom and the living room. My mother-in-law who cannot go to the beach enjoyed the balcony overlooking the Gulf. I could take my dog, and there was a nice pet area that I could take her to.
We arrived late and had a minor problem with a toilet, and I called the owners and left a message They texted me back early the next morning, and the toilet was repaired before noon on Sunday. You cannot ask for better communication with the owners and service from the condo maintenance.
We will stay at this condo again.

PROS: Not crowded, beautiful view, stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, easy check-in, nice size condo, pretty décor., clean (except for bathroom floors), pet friendly, plenty of convenient parking, nice bathrooms and showers at pool area, plenty of tables & deck chairs. Building is older but well maintained (except for the elevator).
CONS: Bathroom floors were pretty nasty, mold in bathroom vents, TV in 2nd bedroom had no signal, small & overcrowded pool (not heated), master bedroom stayed rather warm (I bought a fan), elevator was awful (out of order for 2 days, and was slow, hot, and stinky).

Close to beach but unit needs tlc
We arrived to find that one bath was completely missing shower curtain and rod which we bought a new one and installed. We filtered through Atleast 6 remotes that had no batteries to find the correct ones and had to share remotes for living room and one bedroom. My mother got stuck in bathroom because door handle would not retract the latch so we changed out internal components w a handle set we found in a closet. My dog found a dead mouse. Upon packing to leave we found another mouse had gotten into the bread and dog food left on counter. Apparently New patio furniture is coming but if you plan to sit on the balcony in the rusted furniture besure you’re up to date on your tetanus. The positives are the unit is close to the beach and the owners did reimburse as promised for the shower curtain. The unit desperately needs some tlc.

Broken Promises
We looked forward to our vacation for many months. We were informed a couple days before check in that the water would be turned off for maintenance from 10-2 one day during our stay. This was ok as we planned on being on the beach. With double red flags we weren’t allowed in the water. We went to several places looking for a restroom and they did not have public restrooms. Then, we were informed that some workers would need to come to our condo to replace the railing on the balcony. This was told to us the day of the repair. We stayed at the condo while they did the repair because of our small dog. All of the furniture from outside was brought inside and we waited for a few hours because the workers removed the railing and then took a lunch break before completing the job. When the work was complete we moved furniture back out and cleaned the huge mess that it made being brought inside. Ben told me that if we allowed them to do the work he would send us a check for our dinner if we sent him the receipt. We agreed that was fair. We did not send him the receipt for that particular night since we went to the buffet and it was well over $300. I sent him the receipt from the following night because the bill was much less. I have yet to receive a response from him. I tried to send a message today and it seems he has my number blocked. It was truly an inconvenience for us during our vacation. Beware of any promises made as they may be broken.
This was a very spacious two bedroom condo with, what I would call two master suites, with two king beds. Just what we were looking for. The condo hosts were easy to contact and communicate with.
