Great cabin in great location
The cabin was as advertised. It was comfortable and 5-10 minutes walking to the ski slopes! The only downside was the kitchen seemed pretty under-equipped with some basic items (spoons, knives etc.) We contacted the owner and he said he would fix that asap.
We will be looking at this cabin next time we go skiing to Big Bear for sure.

Thank you Jaroslav. You were a wonderful guest. I added some more Kitchenware once you informed me. Thank you for letting me know.
We were at Snow Summit for the Strait Acre’s Invitational. The house was minutes from the venue so we did not have to drive up to park! BBQ’d every night and saved $110’s on food during the day as well! If you know …then you know! So convenient. We will book again for sure!

Old and uncomfortable
This was the worst Vrbo I ever stayed in. And I have stayed in many I have plenty of photos to back up my stay . Has to be fake reviews as this place had horrible old uncomfortable furnishins. Mildew in the shower. Advertised as a 2 bathroom and q toilet didn't flush . Mgmt brought a plunger . Old cabinets with missing handles . Discusting cookware. Dirty carpet busted drawers. Never again

please read the other 25 great reviews. the cabin is advertised as an old style cabin. all items mentioned above have been fixed and or repaired. thanks
We booked this place on a whim, so we didn't have any expectations. The location was absolutely one of the best in BB. We were close to everything, from north shore beach to the ski/bike lifts, to several very cool trails. The unit has a back porch, that is somewhat private. Surprisingly, a gas powered BBQ was available for grilling. The unit included lots of board games that our kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The second story patio was cool for relaxing and watching the stars. James was a great host and answered our questions quickly. This was our first summer stay in BB, normally we come in the winder. Surprisingly, there is a lot to do in the summer. Within a week, we went jet skying, kayaking, fishing, hiking, north shore beach, and biking on some amazing trails.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Property was clean and location is perfect. Very close to pretty much everything. We had some questions during check in and owner answered very fast. Definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful stay
The cabin is literally down the street from Snow Summit, where my friends and I were snowboarding for the day. There was nothing disappointing about this cabin! It's more than spacious enough for three, and it managed to retain a cozy feel to it.

Great location, great roomy cabin!
We decided to come up here last minute when we saw a snowstorm coming in and were lucky to find this cabin. The location is perfect, very close to Snow Summit, very easy to get in and out of (since it is on the main road) so running to the store or to the slopes is very convenient.
The cabin itself is great, it has a balcony upstairs and a deck outback, huge TVs, your own garage parking space, and my favorite part: a fire place with two open sides rather than the traditional inset fireplace. The kitchen has a nice gas stove, microwave, dishes and cookware, and even a toaster oven. Everything you need!
The owner gave excellent instructions and was very responsive, and I would stay here again in the future.

It was exactly as described and perfect for our stay.
The location could not have been better, especially if you are skiing and the house itself has everything you could need or want for a great trip to Big Bear. Its rustic, roomy and while not fancy inside--perfect for a family trip or a ski get away.

Nice location, walk to slopes and restaurants
Very clean, housekeeper does a very cute job decorating things. It does need some pots and pans, and some furniture is broken. The big TV in master bd was nice but it was very snowy.

Cozy and Quiet Getaway
We really liked staying at James' place in Big Bear. The beds and the tvs and the shower are excellent, and because it's an end unit it is blessedly quiet at night so we all slept well. The kitchen could be better stocked, however: it needs new pots and pans and cooking utensils. There aren't many spices, either (no black pepper!). But the bag of ice in the freezer was a nice touch. We'll be back!

Cozy and Affordable Cabin!
We came to Big Bear for a short summer trip and this cabin only made it better! It was very cozy and welcoming and was a perfect fit for two families with teens. To put icing on the cake, James was extremely friendly and professional. We encountered a problem during our last night and it just took a quick phone call to have it taken care of. The cabin itself was very clean and located in an ideal location (close to everything). We had a splendid time up there and will definitely stay here again next time!

Great location and cozy place to hang out
The location of this property is perfect for hanging out in Big Bear or running up to Snow Summit right up the road. The price and comfortable feel of this property is exactly what my family wanted. We only stayed 1 night but we very happy and will look at again when we drive up to the mountains.
