So delighted to return for a second stay, seven years after our first visit. Lovely property, well equipped, superb peaceful location with stunning views over towards Beynac and much more. Great communication with the friendly owner Catherine. Hope to visit yet again sometime in the future.

Lovely property in an amazing location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and made great use of the outdoor space as the weather was very hot. Fabulous views and clear night skies and such a peaceful location in a small hamlet. We were a party of 5 adults and had plenty of indoor space, the house being clean, modern and comfortable.

We will be very happy to welcome you again in our beautiful area of the "Périgord Noir"
We do everything in the house to make the stay of our tenants unforgettable;
Incredible 7 days in this gorgeous villa. Like others had said the stairs would not be good for people with mobility issues as spiral and steep but we were fine with our 8 year old children
Lovely stay, so peaceful and the pool was fantastic during hot hot weather.
Lovely property with 2 outside terraces so shade always possible. Swimming pool to cool off if it’s hot and very pretty interior. Spiral stairs might be a problem for those with walking difficulties.
The views from the terrace across to Beynac Castle are amazing and location is very quiet.

The house has the charm of old houses but with all the modern comforts and with this incredible view of the valley and the castles below. The photos on the website highlight the spiral stairs so it is not a surprise for our guests who rent. We know that people with disabilities, who are too old or obese cannot rent our house.
Excellent property for our party of 2 couples. Nicely presented and maintained. Wonderful experience watching the hot air balloons rise from the morning mist. The steps to the bedrooms could be a negative for some as they are very narrow but the property description gives you a good idea of what to expect before you book. The setting is extremely rural and you'd need a car. We wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend.

This is a lovely characterful property in an amazing setting.
The views of the valley from the terrace and balcony are unbelievable. We really enjoyed having our breakfast watching the hot air balloons rise above Beynac. The property has been renovated with care and has lots of character. It is very clean and everything was in good working order. Catherine was very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. We had a lovely holiday and this is a great house if you are looking for peace and tranquillity. Worth noting that there are 2 sets of spiral stairs so not ideal for those with mobility challenges. Overall, highly recommended and we plan to return!

We appreciated these tenants who took care of our house.
We regularly maintain the house so that it is always impeccable both in terms of cleanliness and the house itself.
Regular work is done to maintain general comfort.
We passed a perfect stay in that lovely and charming house. The interior chosen very carefully with lovely details. Interior and exterior with a lot of nice places to relax, the only deficultiy ist to find out, which is the best of..
Perfect location with a unforgettable view on the landscape. Absolutly quiet up there perfect to get back after an impressive day, discovering the spots around, which are easy to reach in short distance. The hosts Cathy and Manu are that kind sympathic, that we got the feeling, beeing there among friends. Shure will come back : Not more to tell yo than : Paradise found.
This was our 2nd stay in the property (albeit 16 years between visits) and it didn’t disappoint. The property is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The views are amazing, and the sight of the hot air balloons rising through the mist in the mornings is spectacular. The local village is very quiet but it is only a few minutes drive to Beynac-et-Cazenac and into the Dordogne valley with all its sights and attractions.
Catherine, the host, is very communicative and obviously very house proud.
The only observations would be that the spiral staircases to the bedrooms would be difficult for someone who is not very mobile and the WiFi is pretty poor, but overall it is a fabulous place.
We are a family with grown up children in their 20’s and 30’s. We holiday in the Dordogne every summer, and always find a different location to stay in. This year I can honestly say has been an absolute gem of a holiday. The cottage is perfect- so clean and homely with everything you could possibly need. The owners are warm and kind, attentive to any need and extremely discreet. The location is just beautiful- overlooking the Dordogne valley with stunning views. Watching the hot air balloons morning and evening is a joy to behold.
We felt so relaxed and chilled during our stay, and loved the wildlife around us. The swifts and sparrows were very entertaining, we saw deer, badgers, bats and frogs all within a mile of the property. The Hoopoe Bird was often present singing away- he was stunning, and the owner brought his pony and donkey to graze a few times in the garden below the house. It was just bliss.
The stairs to the bedrooms are spiral, and you get used to them quickly- they add to the character of the house. Definitely the cleanest and best presented property we have stayed in.
The bbq is brilliant and very easy to clean.
I am sure we will return. I can honestly say that everything was perfect!

A l'année prochaine :)

Claire

A fabulous house with incredible views across the valley from all of the outside areas. Having breakfast, or dinner in the evening, watching the balloons fly over the castle and river is probably worth the rental cost alone..
The pool is perfectly sized, very clean and a pleasure to come back to after a day's sightseeing. There is a lovely shaded dining and BBQ area under the pergola next to the pool which we used most evenings.
The house has been beautifully decorated and furnished whilst retaining it's old-world charm and character, and has all the amenities that could possibly need.
Situated in a lovely little hamlet just outside Beynac we found the house provided the perfect compromise between being ideally situated for day trips out to all the attractions but also an oasis to escape to after a busy day.
As other reviews have described, the spiral stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep and that's something you may wish to consider if you have mobility difficulties.
The owner Catherine was absolutely charming and very helpful during our stay, on hand to meet us on arrival and answer any questions but also very discreet.
I'd thoroughly recommend a stay at this lovely house.
