The rental was as described in the ad. Everything had been tastefully prepared by July and we lacked nothing.We had a great stay in ANOPOLI, a small mountain village very charming, away from the bustle of the seaside and yet close enough to the sea. Our mornings were punctuated by the sound of crickets and olive groves as far as the eye could see.Fortunately, we had rented a car on site in order to be totally autonomous and to be able to discover the best places of Crete.July is really charming and attentive to her hosts. She had listed all the places to visit and listed the good restaurants nearby. She also kindly brought us homemade cakes during our stay and always inquired about our comfort in his home. We recommend this location and we are delighted with our stay in Crete.

Just what we were looking for.

Felt so lucky to find Valley View Lodge! If you’re looking for a place away from the tourist areas with quaint small village charm, this is it. Not much happening in the village but a walk around gives a feel for the quiet life away from the coast. Eat at the Golden Cage for dinner, the only restaurant in the old part of town. Good food and eclectically decorated. The lodge was comfortable, with a lovey balcony for lounging. It is just as pictured. The stairs are a little tricky but easily managed. Julie and Manthos were so welcoming and helpful! Even met us so we could follow them through the village to a parking area. Loved our stay, wished we had booked it for longer.

"Cet appartement, dans un...

"Cet appartement, dans un village très préservé, est tout simplement magnifique. Prendre son café sur la terrasse, avec le seul bruit des moutons et des oiseaux, et profiter du paysage extraordinaire des champs d''oliviers à l''infini...Quel régal!!! Le propriétaire est incroyablement serviable et sympathique. Nous n''en avons connu rarement de meilleur ( nous allons en Grèce chaque année depuis 13 ans ). Si vous voulez découvrir autre chose que la plage ( le village en est assez éloigné ), alors n''hésitez pas. Encore un grand merci à Manthos et Julie "
