La Gigotterie is a charming farmhouse, completely restored and located in
the village of Parpeçay in the Indre region, just next to the Berry and
Sologne. It has a superb view of the Nahon Valley and can accommodate up to
10 people. It has 2 bedrooms with double-beds, 1 large room able to sleep 4 children, 1 mezzanine with a double sofa-bed and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped, it has a big dining room where you can host dinner for a good crowd and the living room has a great fireplace that makes for a very cosy
atmosphere.

The house is ideally situated for those wanting to holiday close to
exceptional tourist sites such as the Chateau de Valençay, and other
well-know Loire Valley chateaux such as Chambord, Chenonceau and Cheverny.
You also have the Cher Valley and Sologne very close by, the Beauval zoo at
Saint-Aignan, three 18-hole golf courses less than an hour away.

For the sporty, at the very doorstep you have several great paths for
walkers or cyclists and you

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay at La Gigotterie. A spacious converted barn with lovely views across the valley. Incredibly peaceful and great for wildlife watchers/star gazers. The kitchen is well equipped and the pool was perfect for cooling off. Super U in Chablis is close. Although a pretty place, the market in Valencay (Tuesdays) is small but we did enjoy the market and walk around Selles-sur-Cher (Thursdays). We were lucky enough to catch the annual Art market in Parpecay which was a great community event.

Sologne; een verborgen parel

prachtige rustige streek (bossen, rivieren, kastelen, velden en wijngaarden) waard om te ontdekken. De informatiemap in het huisje was zeer nuttig en uitgebreid om je gading te vinden. Op ongeveer een uur rijden ben je aan de Loire (Tours, Vouvray) en nog korterbij de Cher (Saint Aignan is mooi en gaan eten bij Le Salamandre maakt het nog beter). Het huisje is volledig uitgerust en pittoresk. Heerlijk ook om buiten te zitten en te genieten van de wijdse natuur. Het contact met de gastvrouw verliep ook optimaal. Zeker een aanrader om tot rust te komen

Le calme et le charme d'une grange réhabilitée

Nous avons passé 4 jours tres agréables au calme intégral au milieu de la nature. Le lieu est au milieu des champs et la grange charmante. La présence de la piscine hors sol est tout à fait suffisante pour se rafraichir dans un décor naturel idéal. Location idéale pour se ressourcer. Bourges et sa cathédrale sont à 1h de route.

Un séjour agréable à la campagne

Merci à Caroline pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse. Le gîte est agréable et bien équipé pour une famille. Une partie d'entre nous a bien profité de la piscine. Le jardin bien entretenu est un atout pour passer de bons moments ensemble.

Calme, tranquillité et ressource

Tout collait exactement avec l'annonce. Le calme et la tranquillité que nous recherchions avec des amis a été rencontré dans ce lieu paisible coupé de tout (pas de tv, faible réseau, voisins éloignés...). Tout ce que l'on espérait. Quelques petits détails permettrai à la maison d'être parfaite (piscine creusée, terrasse couverte, wifi...) mais franchement pour le prix pas grand chose à redire.

Prachtige omgeving, rust en ruimte.

Prachtig huis op het platteland van Frankrijk. Voor wie op zoek is naar rust en ruimte, is dit het juiste adres. 's avonds de herten in de achtertuin en een waanzinnig uitzicht over de landerijen. Het huis is mooi gerenoveerd, maar er moeten nog wel wat puntjes op de i worden gezet (de afwerking is niet optimaal). Bij aankomst was het huis redelijk schoon. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, die het je graag naar de zin maakt.

Gîte difficile d'accès par temps de pluie, il faut garer la voiture en haut du chemin et mettre les bottes pour atteindre le gite. Propreté à revoir. On a dû faire le ménage à notre arrivée, notamment au niveau de la cuisine. Porte de l'armoire d'une des chambres cassée et posée contre le mur. Pas de porte à la salle de bain du bas, que des rideaux, pas de radiateur. Impossibilité de se tenir debout dans la baignoire de la salle de bain du haut. Accès dans la chambre à l'étage dangereux pour les enfants : un simple parpaing en tant que marche !

Très bon séjour à la Gigotterie !

Très bon séjour en famille à la Gigotterie! Nous étions 2 familles avec 3 enfants et l'aménagement et la situation de la maison étaient parfaits! La maison est charmante et agréable à vivre, les balades alentours ne manquent pas et il n'est pas rare d'y croiser de nombreux animaux! Merci à Caroline pour son accueil! Nous ne manquerons pas de revenir.

Séjour parfait

Excellent séjour à la Gigotterie. Très bon accueil de la propriétaire. Le cadre est magnifique: campagne à perte de vue, on a vu des biches passer au fond du jardin ainsi que des faisans... Magiques. La maison est très agréable, lumineuse et bien agencée. Le jardin a beaucoup plu à nos 3 enfants qui ont pu courir à leur guise dans tout cet espace. (à noter, il y a un petit terrain de jeux pour enfants dans le village avec terrain de basket et structure de jeux.) Lieu de vacances idéal pour visiter les châteaux (nous avons visité Valençay, Cheverny, Blois, Chambord). Nous sommes enchantés!

Nous venons de passer un délicieux we à la gigotterie. Etions 2 familles dans cette maison pleine de charme et très fonctionnelle. Accueil très chaleureux de la propriétaire. On se sent très vite comme à la maison. La campagne alentours est très agréable. Sans doute reviendrons-nous... Un grand merci.

Parfait !

Week-end entre mamans et enfants : tout le monde à très rapidement trouvé ses marques à la Gigotterie. Les 4 enfants se sont appropriés le haut et les 3 mamans le bas (surtout les canapés devant une bonne flambée dans la cheminée). Car la seule chose qui a manqué à un week-end qui aurait pu être vraiment parfait, était une météo moins.... humide ! Nous ne manquerons de revenir séjourner dans ce havre de tranquillité. Merci encore.

Séjour très réussi

Encore un séjour très agréable à La Gigotterie. La maison était impeccable comme la première fois. La campagne est aussi belle à l'automne qu'au printemps ! Les grands ont bien profité des apéros au coin du feu et les petits du lecteur DVD dans la mezzanine ! Saison idéale pour la visite des châteaux, nous avons apprécié Valençay et Cheverny.
