Great house and location! Very clean, comfy beds, and had everything we needed. Living room has a great sectional for watching a movie. We were close to family we were visiting, and the location was also great for going into Clinton and Langly.
Very clean, just about anything you needed was provided, relaxing, peaceful, large yard for kids to play on ,trails to explore, close to a beach, beds comfortable and sitting area was comfy.
My wife and 16-month old and I had a wonderful time at Birdsong. Quiet, well-stocked kitchen, gas grill, plenty of space, and comfy beds were the highlights for us. Easy access to Freeland and the south Whidbey beaches.
Super clean and secluded property. Wonderful hosts that helped facilitate the return of an important left behind item. Would definitely return when back in the area.
This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this lovely retreat on Whidbey Island. Everything is clean, organized, and so homey! The owners are very friendly and communicative. We hope to make this our go-to place to stay when we make our trips to visit our family. Thank you so much!
We were on the island for two nights and this house was convenient to the family activities. This was one of the nicest homes that I have rented and I do a couple rentals every year. I would recommend this house and hope to be back in the area to rent it again. Clean, well stocked, lots of games in the closet, good internet, and just super nice.
We enjoyed everything about our stay. The house was beautiful. Everything we needed was provided. The icing on the cake as the owl who visited right outside the back.
Diane made renting and checking in easy. My family stayed there during a reunion because we didn't have enough bedrooms at our house. They found it well appointed and comfortable. We'd happily rent again.
We had a very relaxing stay at this home. Enjoyed that it was at the end of the dirt road so there were no traffic noises and we were able to enjoy the sounds of nature. House really had all of the gadgets you would need and was extremely clean. We were very impressed.
Thank you for a great trip!
I've been to Birdsong Retreat twice, and have just booked a third stay there. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. We saw a mama deer and her fawn right next to the house in the morning, and at night we heard the hooting of owls. The house itself is quite comfortable and furnished with everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Everything was as described. Comfortable, clean, well-equipped, but most of all private. So beautiful and calming to be surrounded by nature. We didn't see the owls this year but I am sure they were there. Thank you Diane
This was our third or fourth time staying here. We keep coming back because of the peace and quiet and the comfort of the home. The kitchen is well stocked, including coffee, tea, some canned goods, and all the kitchen appliances you need. The beds are super comfortable. Our host Diane was responsive when we had a small issue with the TV (resolved quickly.) Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The setting is private and beautiful. If you like to be surrounded by nature, this is the place for you. The home is clean and has everything you need. I would highly suggest you bring drinking water. The water has an odd smell and taste that is hard to ignore. Other than that, we had a wonderful time!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the house and surroundings. I do everything I can to make guests comfortable. We are in a mineral rich area, which is reflected in the water. It is very healthy. We put in a filter system when we began sharing our home with guests, as not everyone appreciates the minerals in the water. Prior to that we used the water as it is, as it is very healthy. Unfortunately, just before your stay the filter system broke down, which has never happened before, and we are working on getting it fixed. This was totally unforseen, apologies.
