The apartment is located in the historic center of Lisbon, in the neighborhood of Sao Cristovao and São Lourenço. The apartment is on the 1st floor of an eighteenth century building which was built after the earthquake of Lisbon in 1755 and was renovated in 2011. These works were carried out as part of an architecture.
The apartment has a good light and comfort. It has wireless Internet available, and even cable TV. Here you can take a Nespresso coffee or enjoy a good bottle of Portuguese wine.
This area is very close to the São Jorge Castle (10 minutes walk) and the same distance the river and the Bairro Alto. It's very central as it is in the heart of the city. It is very near Rossio Square and Figueira Square. It is 1 minute from Rossio subway station and a car park. It has many means of transport available right next door (metro, bus, tram and taxi) and the different trade, including a mini-market.
The building is situated in a typical pedestrian stairway to the castle of San Jorge.

The apartment is centrally located with easy access to restaurants & food stores. As with most of Lisbon there are steps leading to the apartment & steps to the upper floor. The apartment is clean with a well stocked kitchen. Host has a variety of guide books and maps. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The reviews for this property are accurate— an excellent host, lovely well outfitted apartment, and close to many attractions. While the apartment building itself is quiet there can be noise outside off/on into the wee hours and cigarette smoke drifting in, plus there is a huge street light outside the bedroom. Bring a sleep mask and earplugs and enjoy or come at a less hot time of the year so you can use the very nice shutters.

Andre is a marvellous host who spends a great deal of time and energy to make sure his guests are cared for. This is so helpful, especially if it’s your first time in Lisbon. The apartment is small, but Andre has made sure that his guests have everything they need. The location is so convenient — just down the hill from the castle , 10 minutes’ walk from the riverfront, a block from a market, 2 blocks from all public transportation. It was just what we needed. But do remember to bring earplugs! Obrigada, Andre!

A Wonderful Base for Exploring LisbonAndré was a standout host — communicative, warm, and genuinely attentive from the moment we booked through the day we checked out. He answered questions promptly and made sure we had everything we needed before we arrived. That kind of thoughtfulness sets the tone for a whole trip, and it made a real difference.The location near Martim Moniz put us right in the heart of a real Lisbon neighborhood. Zé dos Cornos was practically on our doorstep — unpretentious, delicious, and exactly the kind of local spot that makes you feel like a resident rather than a visitor passing through. Beyond that, trams, viewpoints, bakeries, and the waterfront were all easily walkable, and we loved the energy of the area throughout the day.The apartment itself was comfortable and well thought out. I was born in Lisbon. This is where I grew up, studied, worked, dated and married. Working in shifts, I decided to leave the city center of Lisbon, be established in a quiet place to rest. I love to travel and see the world around me. I like being with friends, organize dinners with wine tasting. I love photography, music and a good movie for me stir feelings. I am a friend of my friend and I appreciate sincerity.

Why they chose this property

The apartment was bought for my daughter to have a place to stay in admission to the University. I am preparing her future but she is only 13 years old and until it is available shouldnt be used because the closed building, unused for several years, it will be more easily degraded.

What makes this property unique

The building where it is located, has only two tenants (one upstairs and one downstairs), which helps no noise and be friendly. The location is good because it is within the city center. And while you are at the beginning of the hill, a staircase where there are no cars and giving access to the Castle of San Jorge. Magnificent.
