This is a character house located at the top of a hill, with a 360 view on the hilly countryside and Charolais bocage, and can host up to 10 people.
Nicely balanced between authenticity and contemporary comfort, large open spaces inside and outside. Fully private heated swimming pool.
The village of Martigny is situated at 1km with a grocery/bakery. Charolles is located at 12km and is beautiful little city of charming and historical scenery, with all amenities.

The house has 3 "parental" bedrooms, 2 rooms for children, a large bathroom with shower and bath, 2 living rooms, a large kitchen and a dining room.

Lovely old house set on the top of a hill allowing beautiful views all around, our 2nd year holidaying here, could see the improvements as soon as we arrived, new drive and new windows then inside a new fridge/freezer. Weather was a bit disappointing this year but we still had a great time

Absolutely outstanding

Group aged between 8 and 70 and everyone had a fantastic holiday, pool was fantastic only slight negative was that for a property sleeping up to 10 people and being rural was the lack of fridge space, could do with a second one. And remember to bring your own towels.

Beautiful stay, highly recommend

We loved our holiday here so much - the house is quaint and well loved and had a welcoming homely feel. The perfect spot for complete peace and relaxation. Minor points but: *The listing didn't make clear that the pool maintenance was down to us, we were having to test the pool daily and add chemicals accordingly. It was an unexpected responsibility. *We felt that the welcome book had plenty of information regarding pool maintenance (see above) but that it would have been useful to include information about bins and recycling - we needed to take the recycling to the bins in the local village ourselves. Not an issue, but we had to work that out ourselves and take responsibility for it. *Additionally, some information about local areas of interest would have been helpful/interesting *Some of the outdoor equipment was broken e.g. sun lounger and parasol. There were plenty more for us to use so not a problem, but maybe only have properly working ones out? We do appreciate though that we were staying at the end of the summer season, so perhaps the equipment had had a lot of use.

Es war sehr schön, dass Haus ist riesig und die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Swimmingpool ist sehr schön und sauber. Der Garten ist riesig. Wir sind morgens mit dem Fahrrad zum Bäcker gefahren, insgesamt 12 Minuten. Unsere direkten Nachbarn war eine kleine Kuhherde Wir haben uns 14 Tage sehr wohl gefühlt.

Ideaal voor een familievakantie

Gezellig huis. We hebben er met 10 overnacht, 6 volwassenen en 4 kinderen, het huis is groot genoeg. De kinderen hebben heel erg van het zwembad genoten. Zeer mooie omgeving.

Eine kleine Oase

Wir sind von diesem wunderschönen Anwesen begeistert. Es ist ein Traum im Grünen. Wer Ruhe sucht und abschalten möchte, wird hier fündig. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz für jedliche Aktivitäten, sowohl innen als auch draußen. Es gibt zwei Aufenthaltsräume im Erdgeschoss, einen Kicker, eine Tischtennisplatte, DVD's, Brettspiele etc. Die sanitären Anlagen waren top und neu und die Schlafbereiche waren ebenfall sehr ansprechend. Ansonsten gibt es einen wunderschönen Pool-Bereich, sonnig und windgeschützt und schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten auf dem ganzen Gelände. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß und können es nur weiterempfehlen!

Sehr angenehme kleine Auszeit

Wunderbare Lage mitten in der Natur. Das Haus bietet wunderbare Möglichkeiten zum Spielen, Relaxen, Startpunkt für kleine Ausflüge. Dijon/Lyon sind etwas mehr als eine Stunde entfernt, Cluny, Macon 30-45 Min. Wer größere Wanderungen mag, ist auch in 1,5 Std. im Morvan-Nationalpark. Bäcker ist 20 min fußläufig erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ca. 15 Min. mit dem Auto nach Charolles.

Maison idéale pour une grande groupe de 10

La maison est très agreable avec ses 6 chambres à coucher. Le jardin est merveilleux et la table de ping-pong était super. Extra: petite cabane pour les petits enfants - faire la cuisine etc.

Une semaine parfaite.

Magnifique maison comme je les aime, avec tout le materiel necessaire. Il ne manquait que les raquettes de ping-pong... les enfants se sont rattrape sur le baby foot, la piscine etc. Christophe TRES reactif, et TRES sympathique. Une suggestion : planquer la console et les jeux videos dans un placard avant l'arrivee des vacanciers, afin que les parents gerent cet aspect sans provoquer d emblee une frustration.

Great place to stay, needs a bit of refurb

Lovely old building in great grounds, we had a really nice stay. Just a few negatives. After heavy rain, no electric power downstairs for 12 hours. Bedrooms have little cupboard space or drawers available for clothing. For the number of bedrooms, ideally there should be more bathrooms and toilets. More comfortable seating outside would be good. But I'd happily stay there again and recommend it to others.

Une très jolie demeure pour un séjour au calme

Avec ses 6 chambres, et ses grands espaces de vie, la maison est parfaite pour un séjour entre amis ou en famille. Nichée au dessus d’un Coline, la maison offre une vue superbe à 360 degrés sur la région. La piscine est très agréable et la maison bien équipée. Le calme a forcément un prix puisqu’il faut prendre sa voiture (ou des vélos) pour les visites et les commodités…mais c’est avant tout très reposant. Merci au propriétaire pour ses appels et au gestionnaire qui fait tout pour vous offrir un séjour sans encombre…

Wonderfully peaceful and relaxing holiday house amid beautiful countryside

Staying in Les Chazeaux for a week with our extended family was sheer delight. Each morning we would wake up with a dip in the pool, meander to the local boulangerie, then return to brew the morning coffee. Days were spent playing badminton on the vast lawn, splashing in the pool, cooking on the barbecue and dining under the trees. Each night we would play pétanque until dark. The house is well-loved, perfect for two families, and stuffed with everything anyone could wish for on holiday. A truly magical family experience in a landscape full of chateaux.

Nous avons passé un week end entre amis : pétanque et molkki relaxation et bullage, barbecue et salades.... bref un vrai moment de bonheur dans un espace propice : une maison de famille avec une belle énergie : je recommande vraiment d'y faire un tour!

Very relaxed and comfortable stay

This is a wonderful and comfortable large house with a great swimming pool. We fell in love with it in 2012 and plan to come back every year! The house is historic, the large garden very privat, for the children more than enough to play around. A small shop and backery is nearby, at 10 minutes drive is a small town with, and Lyon is at 1,5 hour drive a very nice city trip.

The house is in the family from 3 generations. We bought it 10 years ago, as the house was uninhabited for several years. We like to gather there with our children and friends.
The house is designed for friendliness and conviviality , with large living areas, a wide garden and the pool.
We enjoy travelling around the world, renting the house keeps it alive when we are abroad and contributes to renovate it step by step.
