Villa delle Zagare is a refined residence surrounded by a wide and curated garden where it is possible to walk between a small olive grove and an orange one or staying for an enjoyable reading under the shade of centuries-old pine trees.

In the summer season (June 18-September 30) a private swimming pool with hydromassage is available.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are comfortably self-catered under a wide Italian pergola. An orchard, a Zen garden and a small botanical backyard enrich the rear side of the Villa, where summer evenings dinners are cooked on barbecue.

High ceilings, big windows in each room and a wide surrounding green space let you enjoy a pleasant coolness at all times of the day.

Each bedroom has its own air conditioning.

In perfect Italian style, Villa delle Zagare offers to its guests two double bedrooms with high and vaulted ceilings, both served by private bathrooms and decorated with Italian antique furniture. Each room has windows facing the garden and it's shaded by imposing Italian pines and Mediterranean plants.

There are also additional rooms available to the guests: a living room, a sitting room and a wide kitchen equipped with stove, oven, sink, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.

Breakfast is not included and it is self arranged independently by guests.

Two rooms, with independent access, are reserved to the owner who loves to stay and to take care of the Villa in easter and summer time.

Villa delle Zagare also offers the possibility to privately park two cars.

At its side Villa delle Zagare benefits of an excellent bakery for delicious breakfasts; at walking distance, there are different stores: a mini-market, a chemist's, a bank / ATM, tobacco and newspaper shops are also accessible.

The Villa is strategically located 40 km from Brindisi Airport and only 5 minutes by car from Lecce, a beautiful baroque city and junction to reach the Adriatic and the Ionian beaches such as Otranto, Castro Marina, Santa Cesarea Terme, Gallipoli and Leuca nonché i suggestivi comuni della Grecìa salentina. Enchanting one-day excursions are easily accessible, for discovering Ostuni, Matera, Valle d'Itria and Trani.

Villa delle Zagare is also the ideal stay for those who love cycling holidays. In the area, there are two paths of remarkable interest surrounded by olive trees and farms:
_ Cerrate e le Masserie Fortificate (15 Km.) - Path;
_ D'Aurio and Rauccio (8 Km.) - Cycle path.

Bikes can be safely stored in the private garage inside Villa delle Zagare.

Excellent property with beautiful well kept grounds and pool

Pamela the house manager was very helpful in promptly fixing any technical issues with the wifi. The house is a fine example of an Italian Villa very spacious and well appointed. We loved the pool a great relief after a days touring.

Beautiful Villa close to Lecce

My husband and I stayed here for a week in June and it was our base for discovering Apuglia. The villa is charming and traditional and being antique lovers we felt right at home. It is a large space that would suit 2 or 3 couples. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable, as were the beds and the kitchen and whole home is well equipped. The owner is great to deal with and we would definitely stay here again! We hope to return again soon!

Visiting the "heel" of Italy........

We felt almost royal entering Villa delle Zagare..with the gates opening to a large home and its surrounding area filled with fruit trees and assorted plants. The interior was spacious...more than enough room for our party of three. Even though there was no a/c, the home was amazingly cool. It was well outfitted and had a trove of literature for the surrounding area. It was so pleasant to sit outside and have our meals in the various spots available. A highly recommended choice if traveling to this locale

Luxury villa in large orchard

Villa delle Zagare was luxury for us: So many large rooms! Everything was well-ordered and all utensils were in sufficient numbers and working condition. In the mornings and evenings we enjoyed taking our meals in the spacious orchard garden, peacefully sealed off from the outside world. We felt very well looked after by Pamala, Alessandra's very sensitive and helpful co-worker.! One little drawback was the position of the house close to a busy road.

A Special Place

This is a stunning property combining excellent accommodations; a convenient location; an inspiring and relaxing garden and most important; an engaged, hospitable and helpful owner. The two bedrooms have large, comfortable beds and there are two well-appointed bathrooms. The whole house exudes historic charm with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings. The kitchen is large and has a dining table should weather warrant indoor eating. However, the garden, with its comfortable nooks, sunny pool and numerous fruit trees and other plantings is a spot that just begs guests to spend as much outdoor time as possible. Nearby Lecce can keep a tourist well-entertained for several days and fed for many more. It is also a good base for exploring the Salento, Val d'Itria and the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. Surbo is a short drive to Lecce. The neighborhood near the villa is not scenic but hosts a good variety of shops and casual dining. Nearby are several "masseria", and other historic sites worth visiting. We shall always fondly remember this visit and highly recommend Villa della Zagere to anyone seeking a memorable visit to the area.

Schönes Haus mit tollem Garten mitten in Surbo

Schönes Haus mit allem was man braucht. Der Garten ist ein absolutes Highlight und lädt zum draußen sitzen ein. Die Kommunikation war schnell und unkompliziert; bei Fragen und Problemen wurde sofort geholfen. Für Remote-Arbeiten mit vielen Video-Konferenzen ist das Internet grenzwertig, da öfters Schwankungen in der Geschwindigkeit auftreten.

Kleine Enttäuschung in Italien

Ich kann die ganzen positiven Kommentare nicht ganz nachvollziehen und das ist auch der Grund aus dem ich mich hier melde. Das Haus ist grundsätzlich recht schön,hat allerdings den Nachteil,daß es recht feucht ist(wir waren im April dort,im Sommer evtl kein Problem)und dadurch ein unangenehmer muffiger Geruch herrscht. Ferner sind die Räume zwar beeindruckend hoch und groß,aber auch total ungemütlich. Das liegt sicher auch an den Möbeln die noch aus dem Erstbezug stammen. Alle Stühle waren durchgesessen und wackelig,es gab keinen wirklich gemütlichen Platz,alles wirkt wie ein Museum. Die Matratzen sind auch grenzwertig,Rückenschmerzen habe ich aber keine bekommen. Am schlimmsten ist allerdings die Straße/Gegend in der das Haus liegt. Wie wir erfahren mussten ist es natürlich süditalientypisch,aber gegen die Gegend(Surbo)ist der Ruhrgebietsnorden ein Erholungsgebiet,daher auch keine Umgebungsfotos auf den Bildern. Was gut ist,die Bäder sind modern,die Vermieter sehr freundlich und man hat immer einen perfekten Parkplatz für das Auto. Evtl spielt in diese negative Erfahrung aber auch unsere Gesamtenttäuschung von Ampulien mit rein. Die Altstädte sind ein Traum,das Essen fantastisch und die Leute sehr freundlich,was aber hängenbleibt sind die grauenhaften Vorstädte/Neubauten und der Müll der überall rumliegt. Alles was neu errichtet ist wirkt einfach nur schäbig. So sehr ich die Toskana und Umbrien liebe,so sehr hat mich der Süden enttäuscht.

Ich bin wirklich überrascht von der im Vergleich zu den anderen so dissonanten Kritik: Die negative Meinung zu meiner Villa ist sicherlich das unbewusste Spiegelbild des enttäuschenden subjektiven Eindrucks in Süditalien. Ich bin überrascht von den Überlegungen zu den Zimmern und der Einrichtung des Hauses, die, wie auf den zahlreichen Fotos perfekt hervorgehoben, durchaus einer alten Villa entsprechen, obwohl sie vielleicht nicht dem Geschmack derjenigen entsprechen, die den modernen Stil lieben. . Ich bin sicher, dass das Urteil über die großartigen Realitäten des Salento bei einer anderen Gelegenheit spannend sein wird. wie alle anderen Reisenden. Bis zum nächsten mal!

Trés belle maison arboré proche du centre de Lecce

Nous avons passé de très bonne vacance dans la maison d'Alexandra qui nous a accueillie avec une bonne bouteille de proseco et donner toute les bonne informations des visites à faire ,restaurants et magasin.la maison de type vénitien est très spacieuse et meuble d'époque avec 2 salle de bain appréciable, très grande chambre et bonne literie .Et que dire du terrain qui entoure la maison ,orangerais olivier terrasse avec barbecue tout pour faire oublier que nous sommes en pleine ville magnifique ! Le centre de Lecce n'est qu'a 15 mn. Une location que nous recommandons avec plaisir et encore merci à Alessandra pour son belle accueil.

Voldoet aan presentatie op foto’s en website

Erg mooi en karakteristiek huis met rondom prachtige tuin/boomgaard met diverse zitjes. Huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en heeft ruime kamers met modern en luxe sanitair. De eigenaresse is zeer attent en behulpzaam. Gastvrijheid staat voorop. Ideale locatie voor zowel rust als het maken van uitstapjes (op steenworp afstand van Lecce) Huis is schoon en netjes, goede bedden en volledige keuken met ruime aanwezigheid van spullen om zelf te koken. Op 50 meter winkeltje met lekker brood en de buurman is een Italiaanse ijswinkel. Kortom de locatie en ambiance is meer dan mooi en niets staat een fijne vakantie in de weg!!!

Wunderschöne Villa

Wir - zwei Erwachsene mit zwei Mädchen - waren vom 05.08. bis zum 19.08.2017 in der wundervollen Villa in Surbo nahe Lecce und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alessandra begrüßte uns – obwohl wir spät ankamen – mit Prosecco und Caprese und zeigte uns alles. Sie wohnte in der rechten Hälfte des Hauses, was uns zunächst überrascht hatte, aber kein Problem war. Wir waren gleichwohl ungestört und sie half uns, wenn wir Fragen oder Probleme hatten. Unsere Räume, Schlafzimmer und Bäder, waren in der linken Hälfte. Das Anwesen, Haus und Garten – sind sehr schön und sehr gepflegt. Alles ist sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche stammt aus den siebziger Jahren; in ihr findet man aber alles, was man braucht. Von dem Ort ist man überall ganz schnell – an wundervollen Stränden, Lecce, Otranto oder auch die ionische Küste. In der Straße, in der die Villa gelegen ist, gibt es eine wundervolle Pasticceria und einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen mit sehr gutem Brot.

Große Villa

Wer wie ein italienischer Großbürger leben will, der freut sich bestimmt über die Villa delle Zagare. 6m hohe Decken, edle Möbel und viel, viel Platz. Wir waren nur zu zweit auf den 200m². Draußen ist es heiß, das Haus angenehm kühl. Große Küche, alles da, was man braucht. Schöner Garten, den wir jeden Abend nutzten. Surbo liegt günstig, man ist gleich am Meer und in Lecce. Otranto ist sehr schön, es gibt aber auch kleine Schätze wie Santa Maria Cerrate. Nette Vermieter, die alle Wünsche erfüllen.
