The property was as advertised. Great place if you're not planning on staying in your room - which who would with fall in Telluride? It was clean, close walk to Colorado Ave, quiet and really reasonable. I would stay there again!
This is an older but well maintained property. Not fancy but very clean, comfortable and functional. It's close to everything and makes for a great affordable stay in Telluride where places to stay can be very pricey. I would absolutely stay here again.
We enjoyed our one night stay on a road trip through Colorado, would recommend this place and stay again. I thought there was a hot tub at the hotel, but there is not. Otherwise, this place is a perfect place to rest after exploring Telluride. The trail to all the restaurants nearby was an awesome bonus.
The room was clean and the location is excellent, but for the price it should be nicer. Lots of places in Telluride get away with high prices and low quality in many instances. The bed was springy and rather uncomfortable. For a 250-500 per night room (depending on the season) they should absolutely upgrade the bed and give the place a nicer look inside so it feels better than an average hotel room, respectfully. Not a bad place to stay, but there are better ones out there.
Location is great! Just a quick walk across a bridge, turn right and you're on the river trail into town (about .5 miles to city center). A little tricky to get to by car. Parking lot is off site (it is free!)
This room was perfect for our stay in Telluride! It wasn’t right amid the Main Street of telluride which made it peaceful but it was such a quick walk to the center of the town too. I recommend the path along the river which takes you right out to the FREE gondola ride! If I’m ever back in telluride I will be staying here again.

Room was small and spartan. The place wasn't full but we got a ground floor room with window opening to the drive/walk not two feet away. No privacy, unless blackout curtains down. I would not stay here again.

Perfect place to stay for a short trip in Telluride. My only complaint is other guests were up very early (5am) in there cars right outside the window of our room every morning packing. One morning 2 people hung out chatting on their motorcycles with the engines going inches away from where we were sleeping. Our windows were open due the the warm weather and no a/c so it was very disturbing.

Pretty much a basic outdated hotel room. More outdated than the budget hotel chains. Doesn’t even have key cards, so more on par with an expensive motel. The internet was spotty and unstable. Basically unusable so don’t stay if you rely on that. The location is pretty great; walk across a parking lot or down a short river trail to the lifts. Would be the only reason I’ll stay here again.
Telluride overall was slightly disappointing due to the fact that the town boasts their dog-friendliness. Most restaurants and bars with patios have signs posted stating “no pets”. Mountainside Inn, however, was extremely accommodating! It’s dated, but affordable unlike most of the billionaire-ridden town. We were only in town for one night, but the location was great; we walked everywhere. We did have to park in a neighboring parking lot but it was a short walk down the trail beside the Inn. Not a walk I would want to take in the dark, though, with the wildlife.

The Telluride Experience
The place was in a great location. We walked everywhere, and didn’t need our car the entire time. My only complaint is that we brought our dog, and were unaware of a pet fee until the day before we were headed to Telluride. The Manager happened to call me asking if I was aware of the fee, and could he run my card. It wasn’t so much the fee, but the lack of it being mentioned when we were booking the place. VRBO should have made it clear in the information given that there was a per day pet fee. Otherwise, the place was great.
Only there 2 days due to injury. Parking iffy-limited parking on site, could be improved with better snow clearage/layout of spaces/ reservations, several minutes walk to outside parking lot, 5 minute walk across parking lot to lift. Room somewhat small, but bathroom large. Exceptionally quiet at night.
