Looking to get away from the noisy tourist hotels and attractions and see Jamaica as a local? Relaxing days and nights awaits you at the Harpers House. We invite you to experience the Caribbean Sea’s natural beauty with a short walk to the beach. Come, relax and enjoy this homely decorated house with a bedroom and a stylish kitchen & bathroom. There are two bedrooms available with queen beds and AC unit in each room along with a ceiling fans. This is the rental rate for two bedrooms. If you need just one bedroom, please contact me. We also offer free wireless internet modem. Additionally, we can take care of many of your requests including, housekeeping, meals, taxi service, airport pickup and drop-off along with tours of the island.

Our time in Prospect

We had a lovely stay in the lower level unit which was just as it looked in the pictures...spacious, clean & comfortable. The Caribbean Sea was right In the backyard with a lovely view. There were a few issues but Eleanor & Steadman addressed them promptly. It's very remote & quiet. Steadman, the Property Manager, was amazing. He's so kind, helpful & an excellent cook. We paid separately for an authentic Jamaican breakfast & dinner - YUMMY! He really made our time in Prospect great! We especially enjoyed our morning swims at Prospect Beach. Can't wait to visit again. Jamaica was AMAZING! Thanks Eleanor & Steadman!

Lovely Ocean Breezes!

We stayed here in the beginning of January and had a great stay. The home is very spacious and comfortable. It was wonderful to have the ocean breeze and to hear the waves at night was very soothing. We had plenty of privacy. The access to the beach was super easy with many locations in close proximity. Thank you Eleanor for accommodating our family we were very comfortable throughout our stay. Jamaika, Haus am Meer

Im Februar 2017 hatten wir das Haus in der Nähe von Morant Bay direkt am Meer für unseren Urlaub gebucht.Abseits vom Touristenrummel verbrachten wir 4 wunderschöne Wochen wie im Paradies.Eine leichte Brise machte die Hitze erträglich und das Tosen der Wellen wiegte uns in den Schlaf.Wir hatten die Möglichkeit das Leben der Jamaikaner kennenzu- lernen und konnten die urwüchsige Natur bewundern. Henry unser Ansprechpartner kümmerte sich liebevoll um uns.Tag und Nacht stand er uns zur Verfügung und wir hatten gemeinsam viel Spaß. Das Haus ist sauber und modern eingerichtet.Ein riesengroßer Kühlschrank und ein toller Gasherd halfen uns bei der Verpflegung.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich in Morant Bay und in den Restaurants kann man Chicken und Fisch bekommen. Wir können dieses Haus jederzeit weiter empfehlen .

Nice location

Location on a peninsula. You could watch the sunset over the water. It had good security. The house was clean and well supplied with essentials for cooking. The property manager Henry was very helpful. Morant Bay was our close shopping area and banking. We bought fresh fish and lobster from the fishermen. We went to Bath, hot springs. Next time I would go and sit in the hot spring water in the spa, if you go upstream with lots of people offering to help you, beware that you know how much they are going to charge you for their massage before you arrive up stream. We enjoyed our stay and would like to stay here again on my next return to Jamaica. Thank you. Laila, Gustav and Johan. Canada

The perfect winter getaway!

If you are looking for a place to enjoy the sun, sea & warmth, this is likely the place you are looking for. My wife & I spent January at this property. With the Caribbean Sea in the back yard and the warm Jamaican sun shining almost every day, we had a prefect January get away. The house is perfectly located to enjoy the sea, but also enjoy peaceful quiet and privacy. The home is very comfortable, spacious and located in a great neighborhood. It is a great place to make some Jamaican friendships that may last the rest of your life. If you are looking for a chance to get to know some of the people of Jamaica, watch and enjoy the ocean from your backyard, have the beach nearby and enjoy sunshine almost everyday, I would highly recommend you consider this property. I believe it is the best value in all of Jamaica!

I was born in St. Andrew Jamaica, but currently living in Palm Beach, Florida. I migrated to the States when I just out of high school (St. Andrews High School for Girls) at 15. Lived in Florida where i lived in Broward County for close to 20 years. I attended Florida Atlantic University and University of Miami. Although my job allows me to travel, my best trip was done in 2007 when I visited several cities in Europe with my three children. My husband enjoys cruising, so I have done most of the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
I was first attracted to location in St. Thomas Jamaica due to the proximity to the sea and I enjoy the peace and calm in the area. Its a great place to meditate and relax.

Why they chose this property

East Prospect is considered an undiscovered jewel. You will enjoy renting this modest home vs. staying at a hotel or resort. It is very private and relaxing. The area is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The beach is mere steps away. We can arrange car transportation to and from the airport, along with grocery shopping and tours of the island. If you don’t want to cook, you can take advantage of fresh fish and lobster and local Jamaican cuisine all done to perfection.
