Amazing

The place was amazing, we went with 2 other families 6 adults 6 kids under 5. Loads of games, toys, trampoline and climbing frame to keep the kids entertained. Lovely spaces for adults and the pool was brilliant. Looking to book again next year. Thank you for a great week.

Wonderful week

We visited as 3 families of 4 with 6 children age 7 and under between us. The pictures don’t do the house or grounds justice. It was absolutely wonderful with everything we could have needed for adults and children. Plenty of space, inside and out and the pool that kept everyone happy for hours every day. We would highly recommend to others.

Beautiful holiday house

Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge, and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!

We had a wonderful week at Isabelle's beautiful villa/house in the middle of Bordeaux / Bergerac countryside and vineyards The property is beautiful and extremely well equipped with so much space inside and out to relax and for kids to play, including BBQ area, terraces, play areas and trampoline - not to mention the amazing swimming pool where we spent most of our time! Both host and housekeeper nearby were really helpful and gave us lots of information on places to visit nearby including St Etienne which we highly recommend. We would definitely love to come back! Perfect for a large group of family/friends. Thanks so much.

Ruby anniversary

This mansion offers everything anyone could wish for. Spacious, large bedrooms, comfortable bathrooms and outdoors like a park. Lovely swimming pool with sun beds and a lunching area (at least, that’s how we used it. Every one of our group (including the kids) had a wonderful week, no exceptions. Contact with the owner was swift and pleasant, and the property manager Caroline is a gem. We hope to be back some other time, but meanwhile we recommend this property to anyone who wants to have an excellent French experience. Many thanks.

Amazing property, absolutely perfect for family holidays

We came to stay for a wedding nearby and we’re a group of 6 adults and our 18 month old twins. It was absolutely perfect for us! There’s so much for littles ones, loads of toys inside and a trampoline, swing set, huge garden and of course the pool outside! All very safe as well. Isabelle was excellent at answering all our questions and arranged for travel cots and high chairs for our little ones. She also helped us find local amenities etc, and provided a fantastic info pack with lots to do in the local area. We visited a lovely local lake with a beach, St Emilion and a local vineyard/restaurant all around 15 mins drive away. The bakery she recommended 5 minutes down the road was also delightful! Can’t recommend this enough if you’re looking for a beautiful chateau in the countryside.

A wonderful family get together

We had 10 days at this beautiful house, the rest of our family joined us for a week. With two families and 3 children the selection of bedrooms gave us the perfect space. The master bedroom suite is stunning and a spacious dressing room off one of the double rooms was the perfect space for a cot, all the beds are really comfortable. My only observation is that the bath is in need of a new plug and shower unit, there are some super noisy floor boards by the master bedroom… it is an old house! Neither of those minor issues remotely impacted our wonderful time at this beautiful house. Even though the weather was unsettled we spent hours down in the fantastic pool area, a beautiful warm pool in a gated safe space away from the house. The children also loved the huge selection of toys and games, also so much for the garden. Isabelle was the perfect host and Caroline could not have been more kind and helpful in making sure we had a perfect stay. A great place which we hope to re visit.

Great house for families and groups, lots for kids and parents to enjoy and well located to explore.

Isabelle’s house provides the perfect place for families and groups. We consistent of six parents and six kids of ages 1-5 years old. The bedrooms provided the perfect split and were also very comfortable with a bunk bed which was every kids choice. Downstairs has plenty of space for all to enjoy and breakout to do their own thing or sit together for a meal. The provision of toys and games for all ages was great to keep our kids entertained plus the table football, climbing frame and trampoline all helped to keep the kids busy. The pool area is sizeable and secure with comfy loungers and shaded area with table. Around the house there’s different spots to enjoy lunch or have an evening drink. The kitchen is fully setup and provides all you’d need to prepare meals for large groups, this is so often not the case when you stay at a holiday rental. All in all our weeks stay was perfect and the house and provisions did everything we needed and wanted. The house is easy to find and well located for day trips. Isabelle and Caroline are quick communicators and offer really helpful advice at all times. Thanks again for letting us stay and hopefully we’ll be back again soon

La Palaisienne is a wonderful, large and fully-equipped home in a fantastic location. The private grounds and the pool make it a perfect place for holidays with family and friends. It caters for everybody. Communication with Isabelle was super fast and friendly and the local house manager Caroline was charming and helpful on arrival. And despite its quiet rural location, there is so much to see and explore nearby. We enjoyed easy days trips to Bordeaux, Bergerac, Libourne, St Emilion and Brantome...and all the wonderful markets, bakeries and restaurants.

Stunning property - highly recommended.

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this house is, with its warm inviting rooms, its wonderful outside spaces and fabulous heated pool. It is decorated in a comfortable style that makes you feel as if you are at home and not in holiday accommodation. It is extremely clean; the kitchen and bathrooms, spotless, The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of clean sheets and towels. The house is fairly large and my husband I and stayed on our own, but we felt safe and secure. Obviously, with all the space, it is ideal for families, but equally as inviting for groups of friends. Situated in a small village, it is quiet - you can hear the church bells ringing in the local church. We loved to walk around the village and through the fields behind the house. We did think about going on a bike ride but decided just to sit by the pool most afternoons. It is an easy drive to St. Emilion (and other local vineyards) - my husband managed to find it without getting us lost! The drive from the airport probably took us about 40 minutes. Isabelle gave us wonderful direction - she speaks perfect English. In a word - wonderful!
