Holiday Cottage with Scandinavian Hot Tub located in Bussiere Poitevine

La Belle Grange is a 200 year old farm workers' cottage that has been completely renovated to retain the original character with all exposed stonework and oak beams restored.

The garden and patio overlook fields and farmland. Birds and wildlife are plentiful and it is a delight to hear birds singing in the garden.
The garden is enclosed for the safety of your pets to enjoy the lawn and garden and run freely. There are many country lanes to wander with your pets, or take advantage of the two complimentary bikes to explore the surrounding area.

We have an amazing Estonian, wood fired hot tub for your exclusive use. Fabulous for enjoying a glass of wine whilst star gazing at night or to use a cool plunge pool during the day

The ground floor consists of a spacious fully fitted kitchen with all appliances, a bathroom with bathtub and separate WC.

A comfortable lounge / dining room with an original stone fireplace, log fire and French windows leading

to a patio, B.B.Q. area and garden with extensive views.

On the first floor there are two good sized bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room and the other with en ensuite WC/ basin/vanity unit

To the front of the cottage there is an attractive courtyard again with lovely views, the

perfect area to enjoy a glass of the local wine.

WIFI is available as well as UK and French TV



Bussière Poitevine is a charming market town that lies near the River Gartempe. With its picturesque setting, authentic atmosphere and attractive local shops, this little Haute-Vienne town makes a lovely, peaceful base for anyone wanting to escape to the simple pleasures of rural France.

Bussière Poitevine has a good collection of local shops which include tha, a first class boulangerie where you can treat yourself to freshly baked baguettes, croissants and delicious pastries and cakes. Most of your everyday needs are available within the town, as apart from its many small shops, it has bars and some charming restaurants. There is a weekly traditional market too, as well as a larger market held on the 5th of each month.















The Limousin region

The Limousin is a beautiful rural region known for lakes and rivers. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, sailing, horseriding, walking are just some of the activities available.

There are many delightful villages and towns to discover with amazing history and stunning scenery.

Rochechouart and Brantome make a wonderful day trip or follow the Route of Richard the Lionhart. Perhaps discover the tapestries of Aubusson or the porcelain centres of Limoges.

Lac de Saint-Pardoux is 40kms away and has a wide choice of activities including sailing, water sports, canoeing and swimming beaches.

Nearby, families can also enjoy horseriding, bike riding and discover adventure parks of Bussiere Galant and the popular Futuroscope theme park.

Relaxing getaway

The Croft was situated in a gorgeous spot tucked away in the beautiful French countryside. Thomas & Chris were fantastic hosts & had thought of everything to make us feel welcome. It was extremely hot during our stay, so we were all very grateful to have the Estonian hot tub to cool off in during the day. We came away from our week feeling extremely relaxed & would recommend it as a base to explore the area or just chill out & enjoy the beautiful views!

We had a wonderful stay at La Belle Grange. The property was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing break, and everything worked as it should. Such a beautiful setting with views across the pastures and wonderful sunsets best enjoyed from the hot tub! Christina and Tom are great hosts; close enough to be on hand if needed but never intrusive. The local village is very well appointed, and the people were very friendly. We got some fantastic local steak from the butcher to barbecue which I highly recommend, and the grocery store has everything you're likely to need if you don't fancy going to the supermarket.The hot tub really is a dream come true as it's cold fill and can be heated with a wood burning boiler (wood was provided whenever we needed it), so during the day it was great to use to cool down from the sun, then on an evening with a fire lit it would warm up so it can be enjoyed watching the stars, perfection! If you're looking for somewhere to truly relax and switch off then look no further than this oasis.

Gute Atmosphäre bei absoluter Ruhe. Kontakt mit den Gastgebern sehr freundlich, die für den Ankunftsabend mit lebenserhaltender Nahrung und Getränken vorgesorgt hatten. Leider taten sich einige Mankos auf: sehr kleine Waschbecken in den Badezimmern, bei denen die Türen nur halb zu öffnen waren. Küchenausstattung sehr bescheiden. Überleben war aber gesichert. Terasse und Garten sehr schön und abgeschlossen für den Hund.

Pretty country cottage

A beautiful country cottage exactly as described, we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the garden which gets the sun all day, Tom & Chris were very welcoming and on hand if needed but gave us our privacy . All in all we would highly recommend.

Peaceful stay with amazing views

The Croft is a lovely escape from busy life. We've had a very relaxing time here, with beautiful views over the hilly fields - filled with nothing but trees, cows and sheep. The patio and hot-tub are smartly organized, so you get the most privacy and best views from everywhere, both sun-rise and sun-set. The cottage itself had everything you need and has thick walls, so it stays cool on hot days. Thomas and Christina are wonderful hosts. They knew what we needed before we even knew it ourselves. They're also very discrete and allow their guests all the space and privacy in the garden. We can very much recommend the Croft!

Séjour agréable et très calme et reposant

Le séjour avec nos petits enfants fut très agréable au calme et très reposant. l’Accueil acceptable, les propriétaires sympathiques. Nous regrettons que les propriétaires ne parlait pas Français alors que nous sommes en France. Le manuel du gite ainsi que les chaînes TV était en Anglais, pas de chaines Françaises et aucune traduction. Pour nous la convivialité n'était pas là. Dommage car le gite est très agréable. Partager la langue est une très bonne chose mais le faire dans les 2 sens serait plus conviviale surtout quand on est en France.

We really enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was wonderful - set in beautiful countryside. And to complete everything, Christina and Tom were super: friendly, welcoming and extraordinarily helpful. If we could give more than five stars, then we would. Absolutely lovely!

Nous avons passé 7 jours dans "The Croft", ce fut des vacances très agréables en pleines campagne (pas loin des commerces!!). Christina et Thomas sont très accueillants et toujours présents (en toute discrétion) en cas de besoin. Le bain scandinave est un petit bijoux! Bref je vous le recommande! PS: Pour les gens aillant mal au dos, la literie est excellente.

A relaxing week

The cottage was spacious and well-equipped with bathrooms. Tom & Chris were very accommodating: there to greet us; a supply of eggs, bread, milk and wine to set us up. The property information was comprehensive and useful. The shopper bikes available were good for a morning pedal to the great local boulangerie. Tom kept us supplied with wood for firing up the lovely hot tub which was much appreciated. The oven failed while we were there but Tom was quick to get that sorted before the next visitors arrived. In the meantime we were happy to use the BBQ facilities. A lovely, quiet spot to relax.

Beautiful gite, perfect getaway in peaceful location

We stayed here for 5 days in October, and had a fantastic time, it is set in a beautiful location, the gite was very homely, it was a lovely place to stay and not too far from local amenities, we were made to feel very welcome by Kay and Rob who were only a call away if we needed anything, I would definitely recommend to anybody who is looking for a peaceful location in a lovely house, we were very sad to leave!!

We stayed at this property in August and really enjoyed ourselves. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. The surroundings are quiet and relaxing, there is plenty of wildlife to watch out for, especially buzzards and a bird called a hoopoe. There is also a beach about 30 mins drive away, well worth a visit. The hot tub is a real bonus esp in the evening under the stars. The owners are incredibly friendly helpful and informative.... Well worth the money paid all in all, excellent.

Les propriétaires chaleureux nous ont accueillis dans cette jolie maison rénovée avec beaucoup de goût, très confortable, d'une propreté parfaite. Nous avons apprécié leur attention de bienvenue (bouteille de vin, du pain frais, des oeufs...). Le jardin est très bien entretenu, reposant, la petite terrasse agréable pour les repas. Quant au bain scandinavien chauffé au feu de bois, quel plaisir pour un moment de détente exceptionnel au milieu de la nature. Nous avons trouvé tout ce dont nous avions besoin dans les petits commerces de Bussières-Poitevine. Nombreuses visites et promenades à faire dans cette région du Limousin. Ce gîte est à recommander pour sa qualité et pour son environnement
