Surfside Beacon - Studio apt. upstairs

Upstairs Studio Apartment - Sleeps 2** - No elevator/ramp (approx 10-12 stairs). King bed, queen sleeper sofa, Wet bar type kitchen (microwave, 1 mini refrigerator, coffee maker, bar sink, dishes, etc.); 1 bathroom with stand-up shower (no tub). Lots of windows for fresh air and views! This is one of our most popular rooms!

*Can be combined with Surfside Shipwatch (if available) to make a 3 bedroom & 3 bath! Max 6**.

Must be at least 25 to rent. Absolutely no smoking or pets.

**Best suited for 2 guests. It is possible that we may allow 4 (2 adults & 2 smaller children) for an additional fee. Please contact us for a quote.



We are on the quiet northeast bend of Tybee Island, just 200 ft across the road to the beach boardwalk. Beautiful beach with good fishing & swimming. Tybee is a great bike riding community. The whole Island is only 3 miles by 1 mile. However, the Island has affordable golf cart rentals & car taxi service for $5pp anywhere on the Island.

We are a locally owned & family operated company. Our rental property is right past the 2nd traffic light; a couple houses behind the Sugar Shack on the left. We are also walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Other restaurants, ATM, gas station, liquor store, shops, laundry mat, hair salon & Tybee Post Theater just 1/2 to 1 1/2 blocks away! The Lighthouse & Museum are also just a short few blocks away.

Come stay with us & enjoy our outdoor patios, grills, corn hole & Tiki lounge area. We also have an outside shower for after a fun day at the beach!

The space is great for two people. We were very comfortable and the location was great for our needs. I really can’t come up with any complaints. The property is older but having grown up in a seasonal tourism based beach area I expected to see how the salt affects the buildings etc so for us it was perfect and not fake. Would definitely stay again.

The property has very good access to the beach. The section of the beach is in a more quiet area, which is right up our alley. The waves the first couple of days were strong from winds and the last days were more calm. The first picture was our first day and the sunrise our last day. Both pictures close to high tide.The beach was beautiful both in the day and night. The house was very clean and quiet.

Lovely one room by the beach

Excellent little room on an enchanted island. Right off the beach and adjacent to one of the most magnificent foot paths that I’ve ever seen. Highly recommended.

Location couldn't be closer to the beach, and the outdoor shower meant no sand once we got back home!! Huge plus! Clean property. Sugar shack literally a 1 min walk. Def will be back!

SCAD Graduation & Beach Day

Was in from TX for my daughters graduation from SCAD. This apartment was very nice, quiet, well kept and managed. I was able to work comfortably Thursday with decent WiFi and amenities. After graduation, my 17 yr old son came to stay with me and go to the beach. The fold out couch was perfect for him. Beach was easy access (1 block). I would highly recommend this apartment for 2, maybe 3 occupants.

Great location close to beach

Excellent overall. Close to the beach and shops. Quiet street. House is well represented in the photos. Only 2 minor quips: 1) wifi was in and out intermittently, and 2) the separation between the bathroom and sleeping area is not a real wall, so sound travels :). Not a big deal, but you better know and like the people you're traveling with!

We enjoyed our rental with a few buts; the bed wasn’t comfortable, the bathroom sink doesn’t drain, there are more than 10 stairs and the toilet doesn’t flush properly. It’s a more dated property but was clean and the owners very pleasant.

Splendid Summer Surfside!

I'll start this off with, I am not a "beach person", but this trip was to introduce my twins to the beach for the first time to see how they liked it. We had a BLAST! A big part of that great time was due to the great accommodations at Surfside Beacon, especially its distance from the beach. Pat was great to communicate with, and the studio itself is super cozy. They even let me add my younger brother to the reservation pretty last minute with no hassle, so I'm really hoping we can go back next year to stay again.
