We also provide 24 hour security, air conditioning and WiFi. The beach in front of the property is big and quiet. Walk 10 minutes down the beach if you want populated. The property has 4 guest houses. Boat house sleeps 4, Lower and upper poolside houses sleep 2, cottage sleeps 2 with a Queen bed. The property has an outdoor kitchen and BBQ. Breakfast is served daily and included in the price. Each house is rented and priced separately.

Wonderful spot to enjoy the coast

We rented all four of these apartments to house our family for a week. The property is lovely -- as you can see from the photos -- and you reach the beach by walking through the gate in their fence. The owner lives on the property and is extremely helpful. She provides a breakfast every morning -- a wonderful feature if you don't have a car, because the nearest restaurants are a few kilometers south, in Curia and Olon. The owner can help you get local transportation to visit sites in the area and go shopping and to restaurants. We were only there a week and were busy all day, so we didn't do any cooking, relying on the local restaurants -- at least one of which will even deliver to the house. Wifi works fine. Water can sometimes be an issue, but only very briefly. In the middle of the night, the community turns its water off, but it is always back on in the morning. You won't even notice this unless you wake up at all hours like I do. You are safe within a walled property in a very nice area called Las Nunez. We enjoyed this property immensely and if I ever go back to this coast, it will be my first choice for a place to stay.

Beautiful, luxurious stay

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful location. The rooms, the pool, and the grounds were exquisitely maintained. The beach is lovely and dramatic - with the tide changes bringing it far in and far out - creating a great place to walk, collect shells and play frisbee. Karina was a fantastic hostess, making sure that all was well cared for, and helping to arrange meals and tours. It was a great place for a family, but would also have been a romantic getaway, or a fun place for young people to hang out.

Sunset Gardens is Spectacular !

We recently spent a thoroughly enjoyable month and a half at Sunset Gardens , a spectacular B&B just North of Olon , along a section of the Ecuadorian Coast with fabulous beaches . The property itself is best described as a private estate with WiFi, beautiful landscaping , new pools ( a regular pool, a lap pool and a hot tub) and well appointed and very comfortable guest facilities . Guests enjoy a communal kitchen/bar/ BBQ area as well as a communal rooftop terrace where they gather to celebrate glorious sunsets each evening . Breakfasts including delicious fresh fruits and juices , coffee, fresh rolls and pastries and eggs prepared to guests' requests are served each morning between 8:30 and 10 am in the wonderful communal area. We stayed in the Beach casita which also has it's own private kitchen area . The units are appropriately spaced for optimal privacy yet social opportunities abound for those who enjoy interacting with other guests. The hosts are very hospitable and will happily make recommendations to their guests about things to do and places to see . They also provide guests with bicycles, boogie boards , surf boards , a bean bag game and a beach canopy tent . They will contact taxis or arrange for food delivery for guests upon request . Sunset Gardens is without doubt the most beautiful vacation venue that we have ever experienced .With absolutely no hesitation , we can very confidently vouch for your selection of Sunset Gardens as your next vacation experience . We would happily return tomorrow if we were able to but reality in the Great White North beckons !

Sunset Garden on the Coast of Ecuador

We were truly overwhelmed with the experience we had at this property. They only thing equal to the pristine, lush, and peaceful setting was the hospitality and sincerity of the hosts. Their guidance and participation in our stay made it memorable and fun beyond any of our expectations. The property itself would rival any of the best places we have ever stayed anywhere in the world. This is no small feat in a country that is still developing its tourism infrastructure. Well appointed, clean, cheerful and very practical with everything you need on site. Bicycles, surf boards, boogie boards, Wi-Fi, large containers of water, wine and beer for a modest charge, etc. An exquisite new salt water pool with a section for laps was one of the highlights. Then the incredible stretch of beach just outside the gate. We do not speak Spanish, but with help from our hosts, were able to navigate locally on buses for just 50 cents or inexpensive taxis to nearby towns. What's also unique is the camaraderie with the other guests. Even though there is plenty of privacy between the various units on the property, the setting encourages healthy social interaction with the other guests. Breakfast is fresh fruit and breads with yogurt & eggs - all very delicious. It makes going out to meals much more fun. This is a destination, however. One should plan to stay at least a week since it does take about 3 hours to reach here from Manta. Having seen the full stretch of coast along the way, this certainly is the most undisturbed, natural, and accessible. It's also very secure. I recommend this for healthy, active, social people, to take full advantage of the activities available. Among our favorite were the local village of Olon and spectacular beachside massage! Also Puerto Lopez, nearby Jimmy's Restaurant, Isla de la Plata, and Machalilla National Park It's ideal for couples as the environment is contusive to mature adults who are able to respect the house rules. This was our first trip to Ecuador and we would love to return to stay at this lovely venue. In my world, our hosts have "raised the bar" in terms of the standards for staying in a private residence. I appreciate all they have done for their guests, but also to make sure that the coast of Ecuador gets its due place among seaside jewels.

Stellar Property. Book with Confidence!!

This beautiful property on the Ecuadorian coast just north of the town of Olon was home to us for two weeks and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. The hosts were very hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They made us feel like part of their family. They provided great recommendations as to where to go and what to do....Olon, L'Entrada, Montanita, Manglaralto, Puerto Lopez, just to mention a few....and, as expected, superb seafood is just a way of life there. The wonderful breakfasts, the spectacular pool, the hammocks under the swaying palms, the endless beach, the magnificent sunsets viewed from the communal boathouse deck all contributed to this idyllic spot and made our vacation one to remember. Thank you for everything, we shall return. Viv and Martin.

I absolutely love the area. This property was not listed for sale when I bought it. When I first saw it, I believed it was the most beautiful property on the coast of Ecuador. I still think it is.

Very large secure property. Spectacular property with well maintained gardens, two very nice pools, Jacuzzi, direct access to the beach. The guest houses are situated in a manner where guest can be as social or as private as they want.
