Perfect for getting to know Cochise County & Chiricahua's

We're avid hikers and the location of Hummingbird Ranch was ideal for driving to the Chiricahua National Monument, the Coronado National Forest and the Cochise Stronghold. We love the Sandcrane Reserve and Willcox, as well. Renee and Steve are generous hosts and their house and garden are great for relaxing after a day on the trail. Perfect for stargazing!

We enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Ranch. The place was super clean, comfortable, and very well decorated. Renee and Steve were easy to communicate with. The property is perfect for stargazers and/or astrophotographers. Think of it as your own private oasis in the desert, surrounded by mountains off in the distance. We were delighted with the clear skies and the resulting photos. There are numerous hiking trails and historical sights as close as a half hour drive. We can’t wait to return.

Jan & Kris were 5-Star guests. Steve and I enjoyed working with them to plan their stargazing adventure. They left our home in perfect condition. We thought that our cleaning girl had already been at the house. We could only wish to have more excellent guests like Jan & Kris :). Please hurry back again soon. Thank you for staying at Hummingbird Ranch. Renee & Stephen

Fabulous stay for visiting historic SW Arizona

This is the ideal property for visiting historic SW Arizona. The ranch is centrally and ideally located to branch out and visit some of the best and little known sites in the area. Tombstone, Copper Queen at Bisbee, Cochise Stronghold, Kartchner Caverns. None of these should be missed and you need a great base. The Hummingbird Ranch is the place. Well equipped with the feel of being home. Renee is super attentive. We would highly recommend that you stay here.

Thank you for this great review. We are so glad that your family enjoyed the Ranch. There is so much to see and do around the Ranch, in 11 years of coming out, we still haven't seen everything! If you have a great photo of you racing at the Willcox Indy Race Track, we would love to add it to the photos on the website. Hurry back soon, the Ranch misses you. My husband and I had a great time at the Hummingbird Ranch because it was a comfortable clean house, quiet area, everything is there you need in the kitchen or entertainment like interesting books to read or 100's of DVD's to watch. There is also plenty of entertainment outside watching the hummingbirds, cactus wrens, thrashers, orioles, hawks and even a Great Horned Owl. The night skies are also a show that can entertain you for hours and a chance to see the International Space Station if the timing is right. Going off the ranch is also fun to hike at Cochise Stronghold or the amazing rock formations at Chiracahua National Monument. Wine tasting at Willcox or visiting the western town of Tombstone plus much more. Our hosts, Renee and Steve are very proactive in making sure your needs are met and provide lots of notes and directions around the house on how things work in case you need the help. We would definitely rent this place again.

Big sky beauty

We had a very nice time at this home! It was a good location to get to the Chirichuas and Cochise Strong hold and Tombstone. It was very well appointed and we had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be for some kind of water purifier for drinking water. The sulfur smell was significant and I would prefer not to have to buy bottled water. Thank you for opening up your place to visitors!

Thank you Michele for taking the time to review the Ranch. I like that name "Big Sky Beauty", thank you for staying at the Ranch for your holiday, and thank you for the great 5 Stars review :). We are so delighted that you and your friends had a great vacation and had time to go hiking in our 3 National Parks. We work extra hard keeping her beautiful for our guests. We are in the Sulphur Springs Valley and surrounded by mountains. The great thing is, your hair gets extra shiny and beautiful from the minerals in the water! The more that the water is used, the mountain sulfur goes away. Please hurry back soon for another exciting SE Arizona Vacation stay......

Hummingbird ranch

Overall very nice, but we didn’t get our checkin paperwork with address or entry code, but we did get call from owner and she gave us what we needed. Perhaps sending info a week in advance would have been better

Cool little ranch

Very clean, lots of stars in an inky black sky, quiet, relaxing… except for the pages upon pages of rules! Understand the need for some of them but felt inundated with pictures on the cabinet doors re how to put things away… Get it but maybe have the housecleaning folks take care of reorganizing. I am an org freak but it was even over the top for me That said, very comfortable, cool chill spot to hang tor a few days. Renee was very communicative and kind
