Vacation with family and friends

We felt very much at home in this beautiful and very spacious house. There were toys for my 2 year old grandchild and an almost antique highchair that he loved. We also loved taking care of the two tortoises that belong to the property. We enjoyed the interior, the artwork and that there are bycicles at disposal.

We were a group of six (three couples) and the house was perfect for us. Three comfortable bedrooms with their own bathrooms, total quiet despite the busy street out front, a comfortable dining/kitchen room, and a lovely garden. It was cool in late October, but we had a few warm late afternoons to sit out by the pool or have an aperitif around the outdoor table. Valérie and Jean-Claude were away on vacation, but they stayed in touch and had a very nice local friend check us in and out, and their cat and turtles came to visit often. We went to the boulangerie around the corner every morning, and enjoyed long walks into Uzès and exploring the region (Arles, Pont du Gard, St. Rémy, Nîmes) by car. We kept meaning to use the nice bikes but never did. Nine days wasn't enough-- next time, two weeks! Uzès is a wonderful town, lesser-known than many others in the south but very much deserving of a long stay.

Tolle Küche, super Pool,… Sehr nette, humorvolle und diskrete Gastgeber, die immer bemüht sind, einem einen schönen Urlaub zu ermöglichen. Und das hat geklappt! Tolle Tips für Unternehmungen, Einkäufe, usw. Die Kommunikation vor und während des Aufenthalts ist perfekt. Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit. Monsieur et madame LOISEL ont été au petit soin pour nous et d'une gentillesse remarquable Nous avons passé un excellent sejour dans leur maison tres confortable et aux multiples recoins pour passer des vacances agreables avec la piscine et le auvent avec la plancha en extérieur autour du jardin clos que nous avons particulièrement apprécié A 100 m a pied, il y a une boulangerie et une petite épicerie, ce qui est appreciable pour eviter de prendre la voiture trop souvent, et un intermarche tres bien achalandé est a 5 mns en voiture UZES est à seulement 10 mns en voiture pour goûter les charmes de cette belle ville historique avec le duché, l'évêché et la place aux herbes À moins de 45 mns en voiture, on est proche de sites tres intéressants à découvrir Nimes avec ses arènes, les gorges du Gardon, Saint Quentin la poterie pour ses ceramiques et la vallée de l'Eure Bref nous avons passé de tres bonnes vacances , nous vous conseillons la maison et la region sans modération

Magnifique séjour familial dans la superbe maison de Valérie qui est une hôte attentive et très agréable. La maison est centrale pour visiter Uzès et sa région, qui regorge d activités (canoe, grottes, cascades, randonnées, pont du Gard à proximité) et de paysages à couper le souffle ! La grande piscine est un vrai plus pour se rafraîchir et profiter en famille. Le lieu est calme et les commerces à proximité sont très appréciables. Une maison de rêve

Cette maison est simplement sublime, malgré sa taille, les propriétaires on pris le soin de personnaliser chaque espace avec énormément de goût. Les volumes sont superbes, les chambres très confortables et les salles de bain magnifiques. Le jardin muré de vieilles pierres avec sa magnifique piscine et son couvert complète de petit coin de paradis pour y passer de longue soirée dans la douceur de l'été. Il n'y a pas assez d'étoiles pour noter cette maison!

Des vacances formidables

Nous étions 2 couples d'amis avec 4 enfants, et nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette propriété. La maison est parfaitement conforme au descriptif de l'annonce. La décoration soignée et originale, et son agencement font que chacun trouve son espace et que l'on s'y sent très bien. Tous les équipements sont de grande qualité. Une mention spéciale pour la piscine, très grande et au sel, ce qui est très appréciable. Tous les commerces sont à proximité et Uzès à moins de 5 mn en voiture. Wunderbare Herbstwoche in Uzés

Wir sind recht spontan in der ersten Oktoberwoche 2019 nach Uzés gereist und hatten großes Glück, dass dieses wunderbare Haus von Valérie und Jean Claude zufällig noch frei war. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr geräumig, hat innen alles, was man braucht und der Garten ist ein Traum. Die 3 Highlights für uns waren: der Pool, das Piano und die Freundlichkeit der beiden Gastgeber. Die Lage in Montaren ist aus unserer Sicht perfekt: nah bei Uzés, und nebenan ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant (Table 2 Julien), mit den vorhandenen Rädern kann man auch schnell mal Ausflüge in die Weinberge unternehmen. Unser Fazit: Wir kommen wieder, jederzeit gerne! Anja und Christian

Sonnige Tage zum Genießen

Wir - 4 Erwachsene - haben eine erholsame und interessante Woche im September in Montaren verbracht. Das Baguette und die Croissants gab es gleich um die Ecke, sowie weitere regionale Produkt. Der Pool bot am Morgen Motivation für den Tag und am Abend Entspannung. Tagsüber haben wir Ausflüge nach Pont du Gard, Nimes, in die Carmargue und an das Meer unternommen. Den einzigen Regentag nutzten wir für einen Besuch einer Grotte im Gorges d'Ardeche. Einen wunderschönen Blick hatten wir vom Sommet de Finiels und eine Nostalgiefahrt mit der Bahn in Anduze. Eine tolle Wanderung bot auch der Besuch von Les Concluses. Vielen Dank an die Vermieter für dieses Ferienhaus zum Wohlfühlen.

A beautiful, relaxing, comfortable stay

A beautiful house, very comfortable. We were a family of five and our only aim for the holiday was to relax, swim, read, eat and sleep! and this was the perfect spacious house for all of it. The beds were very comfortable and the air-conditioning provided a good night's sleep. Outside space perfect. The pool is lovely and a joy to be in, but also essential in the heat. Didn't feel the need to venture out too much as a week just isn't long enough! However can recommend wandering around Uzes and having a coffee in the main square, Wednesday food market was good. Kayaking from Collias to Pont du Gard was good fun, you can buy (pricey) sandwiches and drinks from a shop in Collias for a picnic, and then pull up whenever you feel like it along the river. An hour wandering around the small potteries in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie was also very enjoyable. The hosts were lovely, thank you, and we would love to go back.

Alles Perfekt

Geräumig und sehr geschmackvolles Haus mit Liebe zum Detail. Insgesamt 5 Schlafzimmer alle mit Klimaanlage, davon eins mit mindestens 1,60 breiter Matratze, begehbaren Kleiderschrank und Bad en suite, 3 Schlafzimmer mit 1,40 breiter Matratze und ein (Kinder-) Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten. Weitere 2 Badezimmer, ein großes mit Badewanne und Dusche, zwei Waschbecken, WC sowie Waschmaschine und Trockner und ein kleines Badezimmer mit Dusche, Waschbecken und WC. Obwohl direkt an Durchgangsstraße gelegen hört man den Straßenlärm kaum. Nur das große Schlafzimmer und das Kinderschlafzimmer haben ein Fenster zur Straße. Alle anderen Schlafzimmer liegen zum Garten hin. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet, der Gasherd mit Elektrobackofen ist extra groß und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es bieten sich genügend leere Schränke um Vorräte unterzubringen. Das WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Garten bietet einen wunderbaren, großen Tisch mit genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten mit großen schattenspendenden Bäumen. Ebenso gibt es einen regengeschützten überdachten Sitzplatz im Garten. Der Pool ist ein Salzwasserpool und sehr angenehm. Besonders komfortabel ist die Tiefgarage mit direktem Zugang zum Garten, die für zwei Autos Platz bietet. Da wir mit unseren Fahrrädern unterwegs waren, war dieser sichere Abstellplatz sehr angenehm. Für Fahrradtouren ist der Standort perfekt, direkt vom Haus beginnen mehrere Touren. Uzes als nächster Ort ist in angenehmer Fahrradentfernung. Der Ort ist wunderschön und auf jeden Fall sehenswert. Alles in allem ein rundum perfektes Haus. Gerne kommen wir nochmal hierher.

Truly Wonderful!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay in Valerie's and Jean Claude's amazing home in Montaren in June. After traveling in several different countries we settled in for a longer stay and created life-time memories thanks to our generous and thoughtful guests. The pictures accurately demonstrate the layout of the home but do not do justice to the its all-encompassing style and comfort. A couple things to note: We took our coffee and wine (mornings and evenings, respectively) on the veranda overlooking the pool in the backyard. Lovely. Bicycles are supplied and the family rode into Uzes several times to enjoy this bustling village -- we highly recommend the Uzes market on Saturday and Wednesday. We ventured further out and enjoyed a hike and kayaking at Pont du Gard -- great example of 1st Century Roman Aqueduct. Our hosts were available and quick to respond to any questions or issues we had -- they were perfectly responsive and considerate at the same time. As a family, we've stayed at many, many VRBO's and Air BnB's but our five nights in Montaren will always hold special memories for us. We happily and highly recommend it!

A cycling base near Uzès

We were a group of 4 seniors that a spent 6 days road bike riding near Uzès. This was a perfect base, well equipped and spacious with 4 bedrooms so we each had our own and 3 showers! One of the bedrooms has smaller children's size beds so not suitable for a taller person. The house is about 3 km from the centre of Uzès in Montaren and for us ideal as we didn't have to navigate through town to start and finish a ride. The house fronts on a fairly busy road during the day but it is focused on the beautiful back courtyard with a pool and shaded eating area. There is a boulangerie and a small épicerie a short 100 m away in Montaren. A very good pizzeria is about 20 m away and an excellent French restaurant right next door. Valérie and Jean Claude were excellent hosts. Highly recommended.

Wir haben in diesem schönen Ferienhaus zwei Sommerwochen genossen. Das Haus ist genau wie beschrieben, die klimatisierten Schlafräume sind komfortabel und der Garten mit den Schatten spendenden Bäumen, der großen Terrasse und dem wirklich schönen Pool ist ein echter Lebensraum - wir haben alles genossen. Unsere Vermieter, Jean-Claude und Valérie, waren nicht nur freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit, sondern haben uns auch gute Tipps zu Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, Märkten und Weingütern der Region gegeben. Uzès ist etwas weiter weg, als wir gedacht hatten (gut 10 min per Auto), aber Montaren mit seiner kleinen Bäckerei und dem Gemüsehändler in unmittelbarer Nähe, außerdem mit einem auch zu Fuß erreichbaren Intermarché hat uns sehr gefallen und alles für den Alltag Nötige geboten. Das Ferienhaus ist auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen, auch zwei Familien können dort prima Urlaub machen - wir haben diesen schönen Ort ungern verlassen und die beneidet, die nach uns dorthin gekommen sind! Vielen Dank für zwei wunderbare Wochen!

Maison restaurée avec beaucoup de goût et très bien agencée pour des vacances. Superbe jardin avec sa TRES grande piscine, propreté irréprochable, grandes chambres… éléments de cuisine et ustensiles de qualité, ce que nous avons particulièrement apprécié car nous aimons cuisiner en vacances. Un seul regret nous aurions aimé resté plus longtemps car il y a beaucoup de sites à visiter dans la région. Entre la randonnées dans les Concluses, au pont du Gard, le marché sur la célèbre place aux herbes à Uzès, les baignades dans la rivière et faire la sieste sur les transats au bord de la piscine, difficile de choisir ! Nous avons aussi déguster un certain nombre de vin, le Bourdic offert par les propriétaires à notre arrivée, le "Rouge Garance", « l’ Agarrus » pour n’en citer que quelques uns… Un lieu à découvrir !
