Peaceful Lakefront House in the Heart of Prince Edward County

The Lake House features almost 400 feet of private waterfront, perfect for a serene country getaway year round. The house is nestled on an acre of land surrounded by beautiful trees and includes a dock, sandy waterfront, a large deck and open areas perfect for lawn sports. This newly renovated bungalow has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (including en suite) and features an open concept great room, wood burning fireplace, chefs kitchen, radiant heated floors, large deck and beautiful lake views. Located on the Prince Edward County Taste Trail, the Lake House also offers easy access to over 30 wineries and restaurants as well as Prince Edward County’s many other attractions, including: bicycle trails, hiking trails, galleries, shopping at local markets and vibrant art studios, golf courses, fishing on the Bay of Quinte, horseback riding, birdwatching, Sandbanks Provincial Park and beaches (30 km), snowmobiling, cross country skiing, skating and snowshoeing.

Relax in the hammock under the trees or enjoy the lake which is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboating and more. Amenities include: fully equipped kitchen with all cooking and eating utensils, bedding, bath towels, washer & dryer, internet access, satellite TV, stereo, Blu-ray player, board games, and books. The house is partially air conditioned with a ductless AC unit in the Primary bedroom. It cools that room and if all bedroom doors are open can provide some cooling to the other rooms. There are ceiling fans in the great room and floor fans in the bedrooms. Please bring your own beach towels. The house comes complete with use of a gas BBQ, patio table and chairs, lawn chairs, firepit, canoe, and paddle boat for all your outdoor needs! We are also very family friendly offering access to a pack ‘n play crib for infant sleeping, high chair, and sandbox.

We are located approximately 160 Kilometers east of Toronto and 350 Kilometers west of Montreal in beautiful Prince Edward County.

Amazing home in a beautiful area with beautiful access and views of the water. The home is welcoming with a wood fireplace and 4 well appointed bedrooms. The kitchen, great room and dining room are lovrly and very comfortable for a large party. We truly enjoyed the beautiful fall views and warmth of the fire. We would highly recommend this wonderful home for a getaway or longer stay. The host was a pleasure to deal with and very accessible for any questions. Thank you

Serenity by the Water's Edge - A Perfect Wine Country Retreat!

This haven was the ultimate escape for our group of 7 ladies! The tranquil atmosphere, spotless space, and stunning water views created the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. We enjoyed wine tastings and vineyard tours during the day, and returned to this spacious layout in the evening which allowed us to spread out and unwind, making it an ideal spot for our girls' getaway. We loved every moment!

Lovely holiday

Lovely quiet secluded property, loons, beautiful cottage/house, lots of room for 6 adults & 2 busy kids, great kayaking, Ameliasburg museum fabulous to paddle to or drive (5 min.), Wellington bakery wonderful, nice restaurants within 16 kms., Slickers ice cream in Bloomfield, many wineries within 20 minute drive but coffee on dock in a.m. with loons best of all!! Didn't want to leave, would be wonderful holiday any time of year!

Nice, quiet location

A group of ladies stayed for the weekend and it was lovely and enjoyed by all. Maybe updated cushions for outside, they were stained and dirty, we didn’t get to enjoy outside as much as we wanted but overall great stay. Thanks again.

Great house on quiet lake. Extremely comfortable and well-equipped. Private, picturesque location. Lovely, generous hosts. Stayed twice this year - summer and winter. Most enjoyable both times. I doubt you'll find anything better in the County.

Very nice

Everything is very nice but inside needs some work and a bit musty in the bedrooms. Could use a dehumidifier. We had lots of fun with the paddle boat and a nice dock to sit.

Great friends' getaway

My friend and I rented this lovely lakeside cottage in November 2021 for a relaxing girls' weekend. Although we live hundreds of kms apart, PEC is the perfect place, away from the crush of our respective cities and allowed us a venue to forget COVID for a few days. Susan is a wonderfully communicative innkeeper and her husband's valuable handyman skills were put to good use on our second day. A minor fix for him, but they responded quickly, he got to work and did the fix in the utility room within minutes without disrupting us at all. It's the first time we've travelled to PEC for a getaway, but our lovely experience at The Lake House will keep us coming back. Thank you to the hosts!

Great value stay in PEC

This was a great place to stay with family and to use as a launch point for some winery touring. We looked forward to coming back to the cottage after a day out to enjoy what it had to offer. The dock and fire pit were wonderful to spend time at and the open concept inside made it great for everyone to hangout, cook, eat, and drink at the same time. Despite appearing recently updated, the cottage is showing some issues and could use some TLC: peeling paint and drywall on the walls/ceiling; a really soft spot in the laminate floor near the entrance that feels like you might go right through; linens, mattresses and pillows are very worn and rough; issues operating the bath fan; and an old TV/media center. Granted, the rental price is pretty competitive compared to other places, so it’s understandable. Overall we had a fantastic stay and despite any negatives mentioned I would recommend others stay here as well.

Perfect Hidden Gem

This property was so tranquil and peaceful, sitting out on the dock (fully secluded from the neighbours) was just perfect! The bedrooms are spacious, with comfy beds. The family room and open kitchen are perfect for being altogether.

Two days in the County

The property was as represented, in a nice location on a small lake. Not hard to find if you have Navigation or Google Maps. House was well equipped however no bar soap or shampoo was provided. Large, thick comforters were on the beds and were too warm for us. No blankets to be found. We used a duvet cover and a couple a thinner duvet off one of the other beds and got by ok. We had problems getting to TVbSatellite system to work, but internet was pretty good and we were able to stream Netflix on to an iPad. The place is nice and quiet, about 20 minutes or more by car from anything. The road in was full of potholes and very bumpy, but the fillings stayed in my teeth! Overall, a nice place though.
