Wir haven uns wohl gefühlt.

Wir waren mit 3 Personen Ende Oktober zu Gast bei Helena. Check in und check out ist unproblematisch über einen Schlüsselsafe an der Eingangstür möglich. Den Witterungsverhältnissen entsprechend war drinnen und draußen die Luftfeuchtigkeit recht hoch - das ist normal für die Häuser in der Gegend aber vielleicht nicht so toll für Menschen mit Atemwegsproblemen. Es gibt 3 Zimmer - ein sehr großes mit doppelbett, ein kleines zimmer zur straße raus, ein sehr kleines Zimmer ohne fenster und noch ein bett im wohnbereich unter der Treppe. An einrichtung gab es alles was wir brauchten. Die Terasse ist sehr groß. Kommunikation mit Helena war freundlich und zuverlässig. Die Hunde in der Nachbarschaft: sind wirklich laut aber haben uns nicht weiter gestört. Nachts war meistens Ruhe. Auch auf der Straße vor dem Haus war es sehr ruhig. Die Nachbarn sind sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank und gerne wieder

Ideale Lage um Land und Leute kennen zu lernen.

Typisch portugiesisches Haus in Ortsrandlage. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Allerdings nur begrenzt beheizbar mit Elektroradiatoren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Schön renoviertes Landhaus...aber

Leider nicht wirklich gemütlich, vor allem das Terrassenmobiliar ist völlig ungeeignet. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön restauriert und groß aber nicht zu Ende gedacht. So hängt z.B. eine große Hängematte im sonnen- und windgeschützten Bereich, so daß man sie abhängen muß um selbst mit nur 2 Personen am Tisch sitzen zu können. Es ist definitiv eine Unterkunft für Hundeliebhaber, denn in direkter Nachbarsch zur Terrasse erfreuen sie rund um die Uhr Schäferhund & Co. mit ihrem Gekläffe. Was wirklich schade für das authentische Dorf Barao de Sao Miguel ist, weil es einem die Chance auf einen ruhigen Abend unter Sternen auf der Terrasse und eine ruhige Nacht bei offenem Fenster nimmt. Schade, aber für den Preis ok.

I appreciate your remarks since I am always improving and implementing my guest suggestion in what I consider truly adequate. Therefore I am going to put an aluminium seal. With this measure I will solve these problem. And I guarantee the dogs safety because most of my guest love animals and since they are so friendly, people have the temptation to feed them. About the terrace chairs, I find it hard to believe since nobody has to complain about it. The terrace is quite big so in general, my guests move the table and chairs for a place they consider suitable for them

Weit weg vom Massentourismus... mit viel Gebell.

Die Wohnung ist sehr groß. Wir waren zu Zweit und haben zwei Zimmer überhaupt nicht betreten. Alles ist sauber. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die An und Abreise war einfach und angenehm. Wichtig ist ein Mietauto... bis zum bsp. Zum Meer ist es zu Fuß mit Gepäck sehr weit. Leider ist es in der gesamten Wohnung sehr dunkel. Wir hatten in der Beschreibung von den Hunden gelesen dachten aber das es nicht so schlimm ist... war es aber. Sie waren unglaublich laut und wir haben uns nicht getraut den Grill zu benutzen, da wir Angst hatten, dass die Hunde über die niedrige Mauer kommen. Cap Sagres und Lagos sind mit dem Mietauto gut zu erreichen. Wir würden die Wohnung nur absoluten Hundeliebhabern empfehlen...

Hi Laura, Yes like any village in algarve peolpe have dogs and love them.... My neighbor has two Max and Sacha....two very friendly dogs...the wall surrounding the terrace is quite high so it is impossible for them to jump. I am renting the house for the last 3 years mainly to couples with babies and no one has manifest their fear regarding my neighbor dogs. Anyway thanks for your remarks.

Bonita casa en un entorno rural tranquilo

Hemos pasado una semana súper agusto en la casa de Helena, en Barão Sao Miguel. Las fotos no le hacen justicia, es más bonita de lo que se ve. El entorno es bonito y muy tranquilo. La comunicación con la propietaria y con Manuela, la persona encargada de entregarnos y recogernos las llaves, ha sido perfecta. Helena está pendiente por si surge cualquier incidencia. Los vecinos son amables. La casa está cerca de todo: Lagos, Burgau, Salema, Sagres, costa Vicentina... Es el punto de partida perfecto para hacer rutas. Hemos pasado casi todo el día fuera, pero los desayunos y las cenas los hemos disfrutado mucho en ese patio tan hermoso que tiene, que incluso nos ha permitido hacer yoga por las mañanas (todo un placer mientras veíamos amanecer). Un alojamiento muy recomendable.

Gute Erholung in typischer Wohnung

Wir hatten uns im Vorfeld extra eine Unterkunft abseits vom Massentourismus gewünscht und genau das haben wir bekommen. Das kleine typisch portugiesisch eingerichtete Haus war größer als gedacht und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Bei Problemen konnten wir uns jederzeit per Mail bei der Vermieterin melden und es wurde alles gelöst. Schade das die Tante kein Englisch spricht, sie hätte bestimmt interessante Dinge erzählen können. Das Haus ist genauso wie es auf den Fotos dargestellt wird und wenn man einen Ort zum abschalten sucht ist man hier genau richtig. Wer Katzen mag hat Glück die Nachbarskatze kam häufig zu Besuch, also sollte man keine Abneigung dagegen haben. We had wished us in advance a place away from the mass tourism and that's exactly what we got. The small typical Portuguese house was larger than expected and equipped with everything you need. In case of problems, we could always contact the landlady by mail and everything was solved. Too bad that the aunt does not speak English, she could have told interesting things. The house is exactly as it is shown in the photos and if you are looking for a place to relax it is just right. If you like cats you're lucky the neighbor cat came to visit frequently, so you should not be averse to it. At first, the garbage disposal has given us a little riddle. Here is our tip that the landlord includes this point in your pre-information. Many thanks to Helena for this great holiday. We will gladly come again. Matthias & Justina Die Müllentsorgung hat uns zunächst vor ein kleines Rätsel gestellt. Da wäre unser Tipp, das die Vermieterin diesen Punkt mit in Ihre Vorabinformationen aufnimmt. Geräumiges Ferienhaus in einem netten Dorf

Sehr geräumiges und nett eingerichtetes Ferienhaus im Landesinneren. Barao de Sao Miguel ist ein authentisches Dorf. Sehr ruhig - außer dezentem Hahnenkrähen am Morgen und abendlichen Hundekonzerten - ist kaum etwas zu hören. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin klappt bestens. Internet muss dazu gebucht werden und ist relativ teuer. Als Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge bestens geeignet. Auch viele schöne Strände in kurzer Entfernung. Ein Mietwagen ist allerdings wichtig.

gemütliches Haus in charmantem Dorf

Das Haus ist einfach aber gut ausgestattet. Wir (4 Personen) haben uns in Helenas Haus sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt! Das Haus war sehr sauber. Die Kommunikation mit Helena lief reibungslos. Es liegt in einem wirklich sehr charmantem und gastfreundlichem Dorf. Idealer Ausgangspunkt um die Strände und Buchten in beide Richtungen zu erkunden. Allerdings braucht man einen Mietwagen! Sofern man einen Kleinwagen besitzt, gibt es auch eine Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus. In der Straße ist ein kleines nettes Cafe, mit angrenzendem Lebensmittelgeschäft. Dort kann man sehr gut Espresso trinken oder Abends mal ein Bier. Wer ruhe und eine nette Atmosphäre zwischen freundlichen Menschen sucht, ist hier richtig. Vielen Dank an Helena und ihre liebe Tante.

Prima Ferienhaus!

Schönes, vor kurzem renoviertes Haus mitten in einem kleinen Dorf gelegen. Trotz der Lage im Dorf sehr ruhige Umgebung. Idealer Ausgangspunkt, um den westlichen Teil der der Algarve zu erkunden. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, die Vermieterin war jederzeit zu erreichen und kleinere Probleme wurden sofort gelöst.

Unterkunft war wundervoll und sehr gemütlich. Das Haus liegt super zentral, allerdings benötigt man ein Auto. Helena war telefonisch immer erreichbar und super nett und hilfsbereit. Werden nächstes Jahr wenn möglich wieder hinfahren.

Great!

We loved our stay at the house! It's situated in a very calm village. When you have a car, it is perfect to discover the region. The ocean is nearby, with some very nice beaches. You'll find everything you need in the house and it is very clean. When you contact Helena, she always responds almost immediately.

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus liegt nur wenige Km entfernt der N125 im Ort Barao de Sao Miguel. Ein kleiner und ruhiger Ort, aber eine tolle Lage um die Westseite der Algarve zu erkunden. Sowohl Lagos ist gut und schnell erreichbar, als auch die traumhaften Strände zwischen Vila do Bispo und Aljezur. Ebenso viele tolle Strände gibt es zwischen Lagos und Vila do Bispo. Das Haus entsprach den Angaben im Inserat und es entprach unseren Vorstellungen, wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir wurden vor Ort empfangen, uns das Haus gezeigt und die Schlüssel übergeben. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr gut und wir fühlten uns gut betreut und vorbereitet. Die Terasse ist wirklich schön mit der Steinwand. Leider fehlt hier ein Sonnenschirm um sich vor der Sonne zu schützen. Die Küche ist groß und man hat nahezu alles was man benötigt. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten aus der heimischen Küche vermisste man dann hin und wieder. Außerdem ist die Parkplatzsituation nicht wirkich gut, da das Haus in einer schmalen Straße liegt und es keinen richtigen Parkplatz gibt. Mit einem Kleinstwagen kann man allerdings direkt vor dem Haus parken, mit einem größeren Auto versperrt man ansonsten die Durchfahrt. Alles in allem eine gelungene Buchung und zu empfehlen, wenn man keinen großen Luxus benötigt und in ruhiger Lage wohnen möchte um von dort den Westen der Algarve bereisen möchte.

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage

Barao de Sao Miguel ist ein sehr kleiner Ort und somit sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Haus liegt in einer schmalen Straße, wobei alle Straßen dort sehr schmal sind. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt dort. Tolles kleines Haus inmitten eines Dörfchens, wo der portugiesische Alltag spielt. Dazu eine schöne Terasse. Die Abwicklung mit dem Schlüssel hat ebenso problemlos geklappt, wie die vorherige Kommunikation mit der freundlichen Vermieterin. Letztlich hat das Haus unseren Anforderungen und Wünschen entsprochen. Was noch wünschenswert gewesen wäre für die volle Punktzahl, wäre eine bisschen bessere Ausstattung der Küche sowie ein Sonnenschirm für die Terasse, da man sonst teilweise keinen Schutz vor der Sonne gibt.
