Luxurious vacation home in perfect location

The house is very nicely situated in a residential area, a two minute walk from a small lake and a 30-minute drive to downtown Stockholm. The house is super well equipped, we didn’t miss anything (towels, sheets, fully staffed kitchen, etc). Also, the hosts left us a bottle of wine as a welcome present along with tons of information on what to do in the area. Highly recommended!

Lovely house in perfect location

We stayed in this house for 18 days in August 2017. As the other reviews state, the house is very nice and has everything that you could want. It is located in a very pleasant and quiet neighbourhood, a few minutes walk from shops, bus stops and a lovely lake (where we swam most days). The bus into Stockholm is quick and the city transport network (buses, trams, trains and ferries) is very efficient and easy to navigate (the SL web site can be used to check routes and times). We drove very little the whole holiday (mainly to/from the airport and once to Uppsala) because it is so much easier to use the public transport. The owner (Maria) was very helpful and quick to respond to emails. I would certain recommend this as a place to stay because of the house, the location and the large number of things to do, both in and outside of Stockholm. There are some excellent museums in the city (the Vasa, Historiska Museet, Tekniskamuseet, Medeltidsmuseet, and Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, were just a few of the highlights) and plenty of other things to do (Drottningholm, boat trips to the archipelago, the changing of the guard at the palace, at which the mounted band were very impressive). Added to that, it is an easy drive from the house to several nature reserves and a national park. The Nacka nature reserve is particularly nice and only c. 15 minutes away by car. It has a great café (search for Hellasgarden) where you can play tennis, rent canoes or just walk (or orienteer) in the woods, which were lovely. Overall, the perfect holiday location.

Wir haben ganz tolle und schöne Sommerferien verbracht. Das Haus ist perfekt und die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war sehr gut. Bei unserer Ankunft hat alles geklappt und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert! C. + B. aus der Schweiz

Tolle Lage nur ca. 15 Autominuten von Stockholm entfernt. Toller kleiner Badesee in unmittelbarer füssläufiger Nähe. Im Ferienhaus fühlten wir uns sofort wohl! Nette Wohngegend und Parkplatz vor der Tür.

Fantastisk hus med alt hvad man kan ønske sig og mere til. Eminent beliggenhed tæt på badesø

Der var extrem hedebølge hele ugen hvorfor vore ambitioner om at besøge mange seværdigheder i Stockholm kun beløb sig til Vasamuseet. Vi nød derimod 3 gange daglig at svømme og bade i den nærliggende Bagarsjön kun 5 minutter fra huset. Ideel for børnefamilier også. Huset overgik alle vore forventninger både angående størrelse, flot indretning, udstyr og fin smag! Ingenting manglede. Ud over air condition denne sommer. Dejlig skyggefuld have som vi også nød. Omgivelserne imponerede med hyggelige snoede stier i kuperet skovterræn med omkringstrejfende rådyr. Kan stærkt anbefales til to familier.

Excellent Quiet House for Access to Stockholm and Archipelago

We rented this house in June 2017. It is a modern, clean, house with a large kitchen and dining area, multiple bedrooms, and large master bathroom and bedroom. This house is located in the forested suburbs of Stockholm which is pleasant and quiet. The benefits of this house are numerous; you have easy access to Stockholm, the house has its own parking, a food market is only a short drive (or modest walk), it is a comfortable and fairly large house, and provides WiFi and washer/dryer. The house is a 10min walk to a bus stop where bus 442 or 414 stop, and which both terminate at the Slussen terminal where you can then walk up stairs to catch the subway. While we drove to the house, it was far easier using Stockholm's modern easy-to-use transit system to access the city, vs. fighting traffic and paying for expensive parking inside the city. Would we rent the house again? Absolutely. We liked to relax after visiting Stockholm, so this house was perfect given its size, outdoor eating area, and quiet surroundings. The house also provides easy access to the Stockholm archipelago via highway 222.

High end property in a great location.

The photos for this house do not do it justice, it is much roomier than they depict. My family and I (2 adults and 3 teens) rented this house for 1 week in August 2016. It is in a quiet residential area near to a fabulous lake that is suitable to swim in (we did). The house is modern, light , clean and cosy with every conceivable gadget you could wish for to make your stay more comfortable. There is ample parking. It is suitable for adults, teens and children. And to be honest, we didn't want to leave. Communication with the owners up to and beyond checking in was superb. Lots of brochures and maps were left out for us to discover the local area. The owners left there mobile number for us to contact them for questions and concerns. There are 3 supermarkets nearby. One within easy walking distance, 2 others that are either a 10 minute bus or car ride away (Lidl and Coop). If you have a car you can easily drive into Stockholm from here - it takes around 20mins. Parking can be expensive. You can also take the bus from the main road near the house. It goes to Slussel which is in the heart of Stockholm. Cash is not accepted on the bus and you need SL travel card. These aren't as easy to get nearby as you'd think so best research how to get one before heading to the house on your day of arrival. There is a Pressbyran newsagent in nearby Orminge centrum that sells the SL travel cards but you either need a car to get there, or the bus which of course you can't do if you don't have the SL travel card. I would most definitely recommend this house to stay in for a wonderful holiday.

Perfect location

We had a wonderful time at Maria's house. We are 2 adults and 2 children. The house is perfectly located 20 minutes from Stockholm city and yet is in a rural location close to a nice lake and a beach. I would definitely recommend this as a holiday location. Peter Harbach - UK.

Very nice house, good neighbourhood

We enjoyed our stay in this very nice house with just a just a few steps to the next supermarket, which is open from 8-22. The drive to Stockholm center is easy and takes only 12 minutes. The house is pretty new and has nice furniture.

Perfekt om man ønsker både strand og by

Vi var to familier (2 voksne og 2 små barn) som var her en uke. Vi var veldig fornøyde. Huset var rent, framstår som nytt og eksklusivt, og er velutstyrt med alt enn måtte trenge til matlaging, vasking av klær osv. Eneste minus for oss var at huset bare har et soverom med sengeplass til to voksne. Koselig boligområde med kort avstand til flere ulike strender og matbutikk og bare en liten kjøretur til Stockholm sentrum. Fint når man ønsker ferie med både strand og by. Vi kan absolutt anbefale dette huset til andre.

Belle maison très confortable

La maison était parfaite et nous nous y sommes sentis comme chez nous !!!! Tout était fait pour faciliter notre séjour, l'endroit est calme et apaisant et la proximité du lac très pratique. Nos enfants ont beaucoup aimé ! Le jardin est magnifique et adapté aux enfants qui y ont passé de long moments !!! De plus, Stockholm est à côté (10 minutes de la maison), ce qui était très bien. Bref, nous sommes ravis de ce voyage, et comptons revenir l'année prochaine....

We are a family of four, ...

We are a family of four, and we and our child loved this house. First, we were pleasantly surprised by the location of the house - a very quiet place, clean air, plenty of trees and greenery, and there is a wonderful lake where we swam in five minutes walk. Second, we did not expect to find there more houses, but it turned out that the neighbors are very nice people and generally it is a district of the same houses. As for the house, then it is very cozy and nice. All the furniture is new and clean. Rooms are spacious and very bright. Most of the time we spent on the huge kitchen, which has all the necessary equipment for cooking. However, our son mostly enjoyed to play on the lawn near the house and swim. In general, I highly recommend this home to all families who want to visit Stockholm. Because in the city there is an incredible amount of museums, where you will spend all the time and get tired and exosted of the crowds. So it is very convenient to drive ten minutes to a quiet place to relax. Also on the way there is a large shopping center with interesting departments and lower prices, which is very good to shopping. Not far from the house there is also a grocery store LIDL and a few others. We would like to stay there for some time, so the next time we'll only rent this house. And recommend you so.
