La Maison Bordeaux and pool, this is the exotic and calm in the city.

Charming house in a typical Bordeaux stone, on 2 floors, for 6 persons.
It has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms upstairs including a master suite with a view overlooking the garden and pool, opening onto a large balcony complete with a south west couch.
Sleeping for 6 adults and the possibility of an extra bed for a child can accommodate a family or group of friends. The addition of a baby bed is possible.

In D garden, living room and kitchen, very bright, open onto the garden with a shaded terrace in summer.
You take all your meals outside, around a large table, feet in the water ...
The garden and the covered terrace inspired nap and usability.
Musicians can enjoy the baby grand piano KAWAI K and a guitar.

The proximity of the town center 2 km and the Garonne is a major asset for a pleasant stay. VCub a bicycle station is 5 minutes from the house. Tram and bus nearby.

An ideal place for exploring Arcachon, Cap Ferret, Lacanau, the wine route is only 50 minutes.
A charming place on the road to re island, Biarritz, Spain, the Dordogne, the Pyrenees ...

Fantastic Vacation

The house and owner were the perfect complement to make a visit to Bordeaux outstanding. This was the first time in Bordeaux for all five us. The house was both the perfect "base camp" and stay-in oasis. Getting to the center of Bordeaux was easy by car, tram, or walking (recommend the latter because you go through the public garden). Setting off for the vineyards was equally easy. And for those days where we didn't want to go anywhere, the house was a great destination into itself. It is setup and decorated with a charm that makes it inviting, relaxing, and special. More so, Nathalie was lovely. What few requests that popped up during the week were handled very promptly, thoroughly, and sweetly. Highly recommend.

A comfortable French home with a pool convenient to transport and shops

Nathalie and Philip were lovely hosts. They greeted us on arrival to their lovely home. The living area was spacious and pleasant temperature. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space was lovely with lots of green foliage. The pool was very refreshing on a warm day. It is deep enough to dive into at the deep end and long enough to have a decent swim. There is a washing machine and rack to dry clothes on the balcony. No need for a car, it’s about 10 mins walk to the tram but there are buses closer, so getting around was easy. The shopping area of le Bouscat is near the tram stop and had a good Monoprix and nice restaurants and cafes. We also enjoyed visiting Plage du Lac which is 30 mins by bus, a nice little beach by a lake with plenty of shade provided by tall pine trees.

Fantastic Townhouse

We have just had two great (Very Hot) weeks in this lovely townhouse. The pool was a major assesst for a house so close to Bordeaux centre and surprisingly quiet. Nathalie & Phillipe were very accommodating and provided any help when required. We would love to return one day. Thank you Nathalie & Phillipe.

Wonderful, relaxing holiday

Just returned from 2 glorious weeks in Bordeaux. Nathalie and Phillippe were very friendly and helpful hosts and did everything to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The house has a lot of character and the master bedroom is particularly nice with its impressive en-suite bathroom and a lovely verandah overlooking the pool. The kitchen is very well equipped with modern appliances (and a fancy corkscrew that got a lot of use!), the wi-fi coverage is great and the teenagers particularly liked the English Netflix on the TV. The crowning glory is the pool area. It is beautifully laid out with shaded decking area, lovely plants and trees and a sail feature along the adjoining wall to ensure you are not overllooked. The gas barbeque was easy to use and the outside table meant that all meals were al-fresco. The house is situated 15mins drive from the centre of Bordeaux and importantly has a well stocked Auchon supermarket just around the corner. Overall we had a great holiday and I'd thoroughly recommend this house.

We had a great time here. The house is beautifully laid out and tastefully furnished. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. There is a place to eat outside which is shady. The best bit of all is the pool. It was hot while we were there and so was very refreshing to dip in and out of the pool. Nathalie provided lots of towels for us. The back bedroom has a beautiful veranda with a sofa where you can relax. There is lots to do in Bordeaux. We did not have a car but the house is well connected by buses. We will come again.

Lovely house with pool in the city of Bordeaux

We had a lovely week in Bordeaux in August. The house was as described and is elegant, well equipped, spacious and clean. Nathalie and Philippe were very friendly and on hand to provide advice and help. Bordeaux is a very handsome city and we particularly liked the 'Miroir d'eau' at the Place del la Bourse, especially worth a visit in the evening when it's dark and the crowds are out. For restaurants try the pretty Place du Marche des Chartrons, about a 15 minute walk from the house. The 'Dune de Pilat' west of Arcachon is also worth a visit and the climb to the top very much worth the effort for what our children (for once correctly) described as the 'awesome' views from the top. The temperature was in the 30s and we used the pool every day (very much enjoyed by our son and daughter aged 11 and 13) and each day we ate breakfast and dinner on the terrace under the awning. It is well worth considering for a family wishing to explore Bordeaux and the region. Graham, Jo, Ruby and Jacob.

SEJOUR AGREABLE

Nous avons passé 2 semaines agréables dans cette maison très bien placée. Le paysage extérieur interpelle à l'arrivée mais la maison ne donne pas sur la rue du côté jardin ce qui permet de faire abstraction totale des immeubles aux alentours. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute en cas de problèmes. L'intérieur de la maison est magnifique et idéal en famille. N'hésitez pas si vous séjournez à Bordeaux.

La piscine agréable et apprécié des enfants, Le bémol : le lave-vaisselle malheureusement en panne les 2 semaines Bordeaux est une ville agréable et attractive. J'ai été ravie d'accueillir cette famille, très sympathique Effectivement le lave vaisselle est tombé en panne, nous avons mis tout en oeuvre pour y remédier, nous sommes venus le réparer, sur les conseils du plombier. Il a fonctionné à nouveau puis nouvelle panne. J'ai contacté l'installateur qui a mis du temps à comprendre que la pompe devait être changée. Nous avons commandé la pièce défectueuse, malheureusement ceci a pris du temps. Je comprends le désagrément et j'en suis désolée. Bien cordialement, Nathalie

Séjour très agréable.

Nous avons apprécié le calme et le confort de la maison, la piscine bien sûr, et la proximité du centre ville qui permet de profiter de Bordeaux facilement mais également du pays de vignoble comme de la cote océane.Maison bien équipée. Quelques difficultés d'utilisation sur la douche de la suite parentale. Un sèche cheveu serait le bienvenu! Sinon, tout était parfait !!! A recommander sans aucun doute!!

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison est encore mieux que sur les photos. Elle est propre, spacieuse et bien équipée. Le seul petit bémol est que la piscine est un peu fraîche mais cela n''a pas eu d''impact sur la qualité de nos vacances. Proriétaires très sympa et accueilants. "
