Charming house - fisherman's house by the sea

Charming house combining sea and countryside. Close to sandy beaches.
A large granite fireplace for cooking grills in a friendly atmosphere with pleasant salontres in autumn and winter. A recent seaside-style cottage kitchen was installed in 2015. It is fully equipped: oven, fridge, integrated freezer (new in 2017), raclette machine.
There is a bathroom on the 1st floor as well as a second on the ground floor installed since June 2016, with walk-in shower of 1.10m designer materials.
The rooms are spacious and south facing.

The house is located in a very quiet and picturesque area, close to the sea and the customs road for hikers with two places to park your car. Very close to the magnificent site of the Pointe du Grouin (breathtaking view of the sea) for fishermen, possibility of shore fishing or angling.
A seaside style shed at the bottom of the garden has just been installed with a double bed: Marine atmosphere for a siesta a wrought iron garden furniture from Fermob, a barbecue and a few sun loungers.
Peaceful and picturesque place bathed by the sound of the waves.

Great location and peaceful neighborhood

This place is a renovated 1710 period stone building with a big cozy stone fireplace, fisherman's cottage and newly decorated. There are stone walls by the fireplace with original wooden beams throughout the cottage. Kitchen area has table for 6 and 2 barstools by the bar with adequate kitchen supplies. There are two bathrooms; one downstairs and one upstairs separate from the bath/shower. Unfortunately, there are no plug outlets in the bathrooms; hence no 5 star review. You would have to use the bedroom outlets for blowdrying hair, electric shaving, etc. which is inconvenient. Loved staying in a historical stone cottage and felt very safe!

A Disappointment

Upon arrival we were to meet our hostess between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM at the house. We were there, parking in a questionable spot, and the hostess never showed up. The key was there to let us in, but we were unable to lock the doors, turn on the heat, run the washing machine and confirm the correct parking place. At 5:30 PM we realized we must find a place to stay for the night, as we did not feel comfortable to stay in an unlocked apartment. As this was our first visit to the area, we were challenged to find a place before dark. We stayed at a hotel in St. Malo that cost about $150. Who will reimburse that?? Our hostess met us the morning of the second day we were to stay at the house. She explained the locks, the washing machine and answered other questions, although she was not happy with us having these questions. But, as we had paid in full prior to our arrival, we stayed the week. The house was dark, cold and the backyard was overgrown and unkempt. The outdoor grill was filthy. On the last day our hostess met us at the house, and calculated a bill for us to pay for utilities. We did not expect any additional costs, especially considering our hotel and dinner expenses for our first night. She waived the 17 euro charged when my husband asked about reimbursement for our hotel stay. All in all, a big disappointment.

Tranquilité et proche des plages

Très bon accueil dans cette maison à la déco local où rien ne manque.Petit désagrément pour le lit avec un matelas de 140 sur un sommier de 120 ; pas confortable. Surtout que la troisième chambre n'est pas facile d'accès.De notre point de vue la maison à beaucoup de potentiel et mérite un bon rafraîchissement.Notre séjour c'est très bien passé et nous en garderons un très bon souvenir.

séjour cosy dans région de charme

Lors d'un week-end prolongé en famille fin avril , nous avons savouré la quiétude du lieu comme la beauté de la région. Le logement était très agréablement aménagé, rien ne manquait, et la décoration sur le thème marin nous a permis de nous ressourcer pleinement. Le logement était conforme au descriptif, l'accueil a été chaleureux tout comme l'échange de mails et messages. La maison est idéalement située entre St Malo/ Dinard et Cancale/ le Mont St Michel, et se trouve tout près d'une jolie plage accessible à pieds . La région toute proche est magnifique , de la pointe de Meinga à la pointe du Grouin et permet de magnifiques randonnées, vivifiantes à souhait. Il ne faut pas manquer la très chic ville de Dinard, les beaux remparts de St Malo, les savoureuses huîtres de Cancale, à déguster à même la plage, les superbes balades en front de mer , comme la traversée à pieds de la baie du Mont St Michel . Cette région nous a ravis, nous reviendrons c'est sûr, peut-être même dans cette même charmante maison. Donc merci beaucoup pour votre accueil, chère propriétaire et chère correspondante locale !!

Escapade à Cancale très sympathique

Nous avons passé 3 jours en famille, à 5, dans cette charmante maison très typique. Bien équipée et confortable, une superbe cheminée fonctionnelle, et à deux pas de la plage du Guesclin. Et pour finir une communication très fluide avec la propriétaire, et Karine qui au quotidien est la répondre à vos besoins.

Maison Cancale

Idéalement placé, cette maison est tout prêt des plages du Verger et Duguesclin. Des chemins de randonnées sont disponibles pour partir une journée entière à fleur de la mer . Un salon et sa cheminée propice à de bon moment en famille en fin de journée .

Week-end à Cancale

Réunion de famille répartie sur 2 lieux. Nous avons plutôt utilisé l’autre lieu pour les repas car plus grand. Nous avons trouvé la maison très chaleureuse, accueillante, très bien équipée (l’installation des prises électriques peut-être pas tout à fait réglementaire). Nous avons apprécié les petits cadeaux de bienvenue. Très bien située. Je n’avais pas vu, dans le descriptif de la maison, que l’accès à la chambre du 2ème étage est difficile. Si ce n’est pas précisé, ce serait peut-être bien de le faire. Merci. Nous avons passé un excellent week-end Hélène Lamy Chauvigné

Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, la maison est spacieuse et nous avons pu faire un feu de cheminée le soir ce qui était tres sympathique. La mer est à quelques pas et nous avons fait de très belles balades. La personne qui nous a accueilli est charmante . Juste les escaliers de la mezzanine sont vraiment raides.
