The "lamia" (typical dwelling) is located in the renowned Valle d'Itria, at 350 m asl, in the north of Salento, in Puglia. The Valley is well known all over the world for the presence of the trulli, recognized as UNESCO heritage. The house is located in a dominating position, immersed in the beautiful and relaxing countryside full of olive trees, fruit trees and prickly pears. We are in Cisternino, just minutes from Alberobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Locorotondo, Lecce, places rich in historical monuments, with breathtaking views. Nearby are also the Zoosafari di Fasano and the Castellana Caves. At 15 minutes there are the endless beaches of the Adriatic Sea, among which the natural reserve of Torre Guaceto stands out for its particular beauty. In 50 minutes you reach the Ionian Sea, with crystal clear water and Caribbean beaches. The food and wine aspect is one of the best known features of the area and you can enjoy the many delights of land and sea in very nice restaurants. Taking a holiday in Lamia Stellata means being able to relax in a bucolic and refined atmosphere, with fine finishes, both in summer and in winter, and enjoy the magic of the villages of Valle d'Itria and their food and wine specialties.

Itria Valley Retreat

My husband and I enjoyed our 11 day stay at Lamia Stellata. It's a lovely, well-maintained villa with a beautiful outdoor space overlooking the vallley. It was a perfect base to explore the charming hill-top towns, all within a 30 minute drive. Thank you, Chiara, for your gracious hospitality, the delicious welcome basket and recommendations on restaurants. Our favorite restaurant is Osteria Sant'Anna, great food, service and outdoor garden setting, only a 10 minute drive.

Fantastic in every way

We loved our stay at this house. The house and the views were outstanding. This was a particularly lucky since we had a few days of rainy weather and spent more time than we might have at the house. It is even more beautiful than the photos. There were many seating areas for relaxing and dining and all of the furniture was comfortable. The location was perfect for touring the area. A very enthusiastic thumbs up recommendaiton!!!

Amazing home and veranda!

We had a great stay and both Chiara and Pino were welcoming and available for us. The house is well equipped and sparkling clean, and the view from the veranda is just amazing! We would love to go back when we visit the Puglia region again.

Un rifugio dell'anima

Ci sono case comode e confortevoli, ma un po' anonime, altre che invece hanno un fascino quasi magnetico e un'identità tutta loro. Lamia stellata appartiene di certo a questa seconda categoria e appena arrivi te ne rendi immediatamente conto. Bellissima dimora in pietra, lontana dal caos agostano, con un patio superbo che affaccia su una distesa di olivi estesa a perdita d'occhio. Grande cura in tutti i dettagli: dai raffinati arredi interni, alle luci esterne del giardino che sono disposte con sapienza per creare un'atmosfera poetica e suggestiva. Non perdetevi il tramonto nel patio e, di notte, prima di andare a letto, spegnete le luci del giardino per godervi qualche magica stellata. Difficile separarsi da tanta pace e bellezza. Grazie alla padrona di casa Chiara per la sua cortesia e disponibilità e al signor Pino che si è prestato a farci più di un piccolo/grande favore. Torneremo senza dubbio!

Beautiful House in a Wonderful Landscape

We spent a week in a beautiful very well equipped house. All the pictures show how it and the garden and the deck really look like. The nearness to lovely Cisternino makes it easy to do the shopping, having dinners and walking around among local people (April!). Lami Stellata is a very good starting point for many places to visit in the Val d'Itria. We like to come back. Petra M.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour à Lamia Stellata. Magnifique villa entourée d'oliveraies. Maison spacieuse, bien équipée. Patio très agréable pour y prendre les repas et avec une vue imprenable. Merci à Chiara et à Sandro pour leurs précieux conseils (restaurants, plages, lieux à découvrir) et pour leur hospitalité. Wonderful house "Lamia Stellata "

We stayed at the House of Lamia stellata in September together with two other couples and can highly recommend it. The property presented itself very nicely with a large yard beautifully landscaped with olive . The gardens two large fig tress supplied wonderful ripe figs.The house itself was charming, well equipped, very clean and functional. The hosts were very good at presenting the property . In fact, they gave us recommendations for our daily tours.We spent a very pleasant evening eating at the barbeque in Trullo

Nel cuore della campagna pugliese,con un panorama strepitoso,ci siamo coccolati nella lamia stellata,tra i profumi e i colori di questa terra ,nonostante fosse inizio primavera,il suggestivo tramonto all'ora dell'aperitivo ha riempito il nostro cuore,molto accogliente la casa,piena di colore e tradizione,divertente il barbeque a forma di trulletto....VERAMENTE UNA NOVITA. I proprietari ci hanno accolto con un meraviglioso coctail di benvenuto,perfettamente tutto in ordine,ben rifinito,la casa è ben accessoriata,calda e accogliente nonostante il tempo fosse variabile. Intorno le curiosità sono tante,i posti da visitare i mercati,ma onestamente lasciarsi coccolore dal tiepido sole primaverile sotto la meravigliosa veranda,è stato il momento più bello della vacanza,con intorno i profumi e i colori di questa calda terra Pugliese.

meravigliosa oasi di pace

l'alloggio rispecchia esattamente quanto riportato nell'annuncio e il panorama è superiore alle aspettative ed alle foto. La casa è molto ben curata e confortevole. Il giardino è veramente tipico, ed è stato un piacere vivere soprattutto l'atmosfera esterna, soprattutto con il patio. divertente il barbecue a forma di trullo.

I have been married to Sandro for more than 30 years now. We have two children, Carolina, 24, and Francesco, 20. We are cheerful people, we love travelling and exploring new cultures. Our hearts, though, are always at Lamia Stellata !

Why they chose this property

After a short holiday in Puglia years ago, me and my husband fell in love with the countryside of the region and the magical atmosphere of Valle d'Itria. We then decided to own this beautiful property, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. We wanted to enjoy peaceful breaks from the city and to embrace the beauty of the bucolic life.

What makes this property unique

The villa perfectly suits for holidays with your partner, family or friends. You can enjoy amazing Italian "aperitivo" at the sunset, with background music, on the huge patio. Or a pleasant breakfast with the hectares of olive trees in front of you, as well. The barbecue - shaped as a "trullo" - allows you to have incredible meals. The stone-made arch ceiling inside the villa is special, and keeps a pleasant temperature, even in summer days.
