Merline Basse is a fully restored old stone farmhouse with swimming pool and games room in the barn, in the countryside. <br>Its 6 bedrooms and its large living room can accommodate 4 couples and their 8 children. Ideal for holidays with family or friends. The covered terrace and the barbecue allow you to eat outside for a good part of the year. The 10x5m fenced swimming pool is safe for children. A games room set up in the old barn of 450m2 offers a football field, a billiards, table tennis, basketball hoop, bouncy castle and a 4-seater SPA corner. Outdoor games are available (trampoline, volleyball, football goal, swing). <br>A petanque court is there for the older ones.<br>The 6 hectare garden in one piece offers a view of the magnificent valley and the village of Beauville in the distance. <br><br>The cottage is very comfortable for 4 couples (8 adults) and 8 children/teenagers.<br>We do not wish to welcome a number of adults greater than 12. <br>We refuse to rent to groups of young people to party.<br>We offer the rental of sheets and towels. (15€/bed)<br>These are kits under plastic placed on the beds. We don't make the beds.<br>4 bedrooms with double beds 160 and 2 dormitory bedrooms with 8 bunk beds 90cm.<br><br>In high season bookings are only made for the whole week from Saturday to Saturday. In the off-season, we rent on weekends from Friday noon to Sunday evening and on weekdays for a minimum of 4 nights. <br><br>NO PARTY ORGANISATION - BOOKING BY YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER 25 REFUSED<br>The nightly rate on weekdays is only valid with the Saturday night included.<br>Ask for a rate for a stay from Monday to Friday. <br>A rate offered by the site at less than €500 per stay is a mistake! and this regardless of the number of nights.<br>Please ask for confirmation of the rate each time before making a reservation. <br><br>We have been welcoming holidaymakers for more than 25 years now. We are simple people, attached to our countryside and our homes, and we have always tried to offer friendly places where families and friends can meet and spend good times together.<br>Our cottages are above all large family homes in the countryside, with a large capacity. The overall price of a week may seem substantial, but when it is reduced to the number of people or couples welcomed, it remains deliberately reasonable.<br>It is therefore important to specify that these are not luxury or high-end accommodation. We favour space, conviviality, the charm of old houses and life in the countryside.<br>Over the years, we have also noticed that the expectations of holidaymakers are changing. Fortunately, the vast majority of us have very good reviews, but some remarks encourage us today to clarify a few points before arrival:<br>• We are in the countryside. It may therefore happen to come across a few flies, spiders, wood bugs or other small animals. The houses are cleaned between each stay, but they are large old, stone and rustic houses: they cannot have the sanitised appearance of a new apartment.<br>• The kitchens are equipped to receive large families, cook and share good meals, but they are obviously not intended to offer the equipment of a professional kitchen.<br>• Games are there to be used and to entertain young and old. Some have already lived many summers and naturally bear some traces of use. A children's game may also have lost a ball or an accessory over the years: we prefer to keep this family spirit rather than wanting to offer new or professional equipment all the time.<br>• The houses are not air-conditioned. Like many old stone houses, however, they keep them cool quite well when you keep doors, windows and shutters closed during the hottest hours.<br>• The park is very wooded, which provides a lot of shade and also makes it so charming. This also means that the wind can deposit a few leaves or small insects in the pool between cleanings. The pool is of course maintained and cleaned regularly.<br>Finally, in high season, Saturdays are particularly busy days for us, with departures, cleaning and preparation of homes for new arrivals.
